Behold, the wonder of birth! Members from 6 weeks bfp to post-partum wonder Mamas! No question to grotty or minging.

We've come full circle from obsessing about cervical mucus to now obsessing if it's our vagina baby plug going! What larks!

Lots of talk about poo, ours and now babies too! Baby brain is REAL! This heat can kiss my arse. And who KNEW being so neurotic about which changing mat to buy could be so satisfying and addictive!

Roll up literally, in my case, cause I'm practically rotund! for TTC #1 Grads!

Planet glad it's not just my OH Wink
Arya is doing fine today, little minx kept me up most of the night but she hasn't been properly sick again Smile I think I just need to be careful about her winding etc.
Sorry the hen weekend wasn't as fun as you'd hoped. You did well not to lose it with the hot tub thing, that sounds really rubbish.

Mums, are your babies really noisy when they sleep? Arya does have periods where she is dead to the world buts often when she's asleep she's heavy breathing, snoring, whimpering, wheezing, yelping, sniffling, snorting and waving her arms and legs about. I sometimes struggle to sleep for all the noise and I feel the need to keep checking she really is asleep.

Leonie thanks, I've been a bit grumpy the past couple of days but hopefully I'm getting over it now. OH is back to work on Tuesday so should be able to get into a routine then.

Danni how did the midwife go? I miss having the midwife visits. They were quite reassuring and the HV doesn't see you very often.

Bunch my piles don't itch yet, I've got that to look forward to. The cream I'm using has shrunk them considerably but I just wish I could poop without it hurting!
Sadly passive aggressive doesn't work here. I did manage to get the washing out and OH got it in for me Smile

Nev how did the midwife go?

Marmite that dizzy spell sounds scary. Might be a good idea to give the midwife a bell.

Feef if you just failed because of a hill start roll back then at least you know what you need to work on for next time. There are far worse things you could fail on.
Sorry you're feeling so rubbish, pregnancy hormones suck!

Indi how do you feel in yourself? It sounds to me like you're having a mild anxiety attack or at least that's how I feel when I have them.

Sat on my chair cuddling a very spoiled Arya who has decided that she couldn't possibly go to sleep without a cuddle. I may have made a rod for my own back lol

IndiX · 04/09/2016 21:52

Potato no I actually feel OK in myself just sick and a bit out of it. DH thinks it's becuase of the lack of sleep and travelling all day today. Sure I'll be ok in the morning.
Good to hear little Arya hasn't been sick anymore and she's doing well, she definitely has her mummy wrapped around her little finger! I'm sure it's hard to stop cuddling her when she's so cute thoughSmile

Planet sorry the hen weekend wasn't as good as expected. I'd find it hard not to be annoyed about the hot tub and drinks thing tbh, think it was right to just stay the one night.

Marmite I agree with potato, maybe mention it to your midwife. My BP was really low in the first trimester where I felt dizzy everytime I stood up, but I didn't faint. Just keep an eye on it and make sure you have snacks around you too so your blood sugars don't drop.

Feefs I've found myself being very emotional over little things that usually wouldn't bother me that much. Bloody hormones!

LillianFullStop · 04/09/2016 22:55

Indi I've had the heart palpitations even when resting and relaxed - it doesn't last long though as by the time I get it in my head to call the midwife for advice it passes. Does yours pass quickly or is quite sustained? I've got an appointment tomorrow so I'll ask about it and let you know what they say.

Feef I hope you get another booking in soon.

potato Arya sounds like a sweetie and just wants mum's cuddles! Glad her tum is more settled - goodluck for your OH's interview

planet that sounds like a terrible hens night for you - I'd have gone early to bed and left them to it!

Nev what lovely first pics - you both look picture perfect!!! love that name too Grin

soda enjoy ML tomorrow!! hope LO lets you enjoy a few days before coming.

Marmite that sounds scary! I had dizziness at 6-8w and I had lower than normal blood pressure. midwife advised always to have breakfast and snacks to hand so my blood sugar levels don't drop too much. it went away after T1 though.

Leonie and danni hope you're doing and healing ok.

33w and I think hormones are kicking up a notch and I'm feeling sensitive! DH and I normally tease and enjoy a bit of banter but I'm not taking it as well the last couple of days. he was teasing me about having an eye mask in the hospital bag and I took it really personally Blush funny now but not at the time - oh dear! anyone else felt really sensitive in the last weeks?

leoniethelioness · 04/09/2016 22:56

Potato Theodore is really noisy. We've not been able to settle him down yet after his 9 pm feed either. He's normally asleep by 9:45 but not tonight... Wondering if it's wind but we can't seem to do much about it despite our best efforts. Do I need Infacol?

IndiX · 05/09/2016 04:05

This insomnia is really getting me down now. Every night is the same. Been up since 3 and DH is snoring away, feel like smothering him with my pillowAngry

Lillian I don't know if it was heart palps or if my pulse was just high. I'll do my BP and pulse again in the morning, I feel ok now except for bloody knackered and unable to sleep. But yeah, let me know what the midwife says, I'm not seeing mine until next week.

Nearly 35w and I'm SO bored and tired of being pregnant now. I think these last few weeks are going to dragSad

Co5mo · 05/09/2016 06:45

Indi I get like that when I've over done it. The only fix seems to be rest.

I was up in the night too...boob pain and my first leak. If a tiny leak gives me that much pain I'm not holding out much hope for breast feeding. I'm counting the number of hours left at work on two hands now so the sleepless night worries me a little less Smile

Feefeefs · 05/09/2016 08:14

I'm ridiculously sensitive at the moment! Even had a teenage style "just leave me alone!!" Strop with DH. 26 weeks today Blushfeels like a lifetime left!!

Sorry about the insomnia indi mine seems to come and go, hopefully you get some sleep soon.

Nice to hear about arya potato helpful to keep in mind what this is all leading too!!

LisaTheSimpson · 05/09/2016 08:16

Congrats Danni! Hope Mason is doing well! x

Nev, Bodhi is adorable! And you look amazing in that second photo with him!

I'm so sorry Hep, sending you lots of hugs Flowers

Sorry for any other big news I've missed, I just did a quick skim over. Feeling a bit sorry for myself as I've spent the weekend in hospital on a drip. Started with lots of D&V in the early hours of Friday, so then spent the day in bed. Felt a bit better, but it all happened again on Saturday morning and I felt like death (fever, dehydrated as I couldn't keep anything down, aches all over, etc.), so we called the hospital and they told us to come in. Took a while to be seen (guess I wasn't top priority), but eventually on a drip, jab in the bum for anti-sickness (god those hurt), and several attempts at a cannula that failed (eventually going in through my arm further up).

Back home as of last night (and thank god haven't been sick since), but weak and achy and feeling a bit fragile. Going to work from home today and tomorrow. Think my mat leave policy is that any pregnancy-related sick leave in the last four weeks automatically triggers my mat leave, so keen not to do that if possible. 36 weeks today!

(Sorry for woe-is-me post)

marmitecheesetoast · 05/09/2016 08:17

Thanks guys, I find it so helpful to be able to talk about this stuff here while no one else knows yet. It did give us both quite a fright. I am seeing midwife for booking-in appointment tomorrow morning so I will mention it then. I presume they will be doing BP and bloods as standard at the appointment anyway. I'm sure I wasn't this pale last week either, have had to use copious amounts of blusher this morning to take the edge off the white sheet look!

So if it is low BP they probably will just say to snack more (I already am in an attempt to keep the nausea in check!) they don't treat it in anyway?

Indi hope you are feeling better today.

Hope you enjoy first day of mat leave soda, hope you are still in bed!

Hope you managed to settle Theodore last night after not too much longer leonie and you all managed a decent sleep

marmitecheesetoast · 05/09/2016 08:19

Oh god lisa that sounds awful, poor you! Hope you manage to take it easy today and not have to do too much work from home! Take it easy

ElleSarcasmo · 05/09/2016 08:34

Morning all!

Love the pictures Nevlet! Bodhi is gorgeous and so are you!

Poor you Lisa, that sounds totally rubbish. Hope you're on the mend now and the rest of the week is ok.

Indi sorry you had a bad night. What are you taking for the indigestion/hot pipe? Gaviscon advance is really good-you can get it over the counter or on prescription. When I had bad reflux a few weeks ago it really helped me-mine was waking me up at night too.

Planet I think you went above and beyond the call of duty there!

Feefs I'm only 2 weeks ahead of you and feeling pretty grumpy too. Mat leave seems forever away Sad. At least I'm in the 3rd trimester now. Hoping time will speed up!

Aw Potato, Arya obviously loves her mummy cuddles! Can you bribe kids to do chores? It's so annoying when you feel like you're the only one to notice anything that needs doing.

Canters your rota sounds crap. Hopefully they'll cover you, it's not going to help anyone if you're off sick because you're exhausted.

Hope you're feeling ok now Marmite, that sounds pretty scary!

Mileymoocow · 05/09/2016 08:49

Oh lisa hope you feel better soon Sad could you not take a few days sick and say it was an infection or something similar? I had to the a few days off with a chest and throat infection and because they couldn't say it was pregnancy related I didn't have to start mat leave (we have the same policy as you)

indi I get like that when I'm overly tired. I get anxiety attacks and that sounds like how I feel when I have them - rest usually helps. Take it easy as you can today!! Just 4 weeks on Friday until you meet your little girl Smile

I'm shattered today after a busy weekend so keep telling myself I only have 4 more get-ups til ML.

marmite I've had low blood pressure the whole way through and they don't do anything about it (not that they could anyway!) Just the obvious make sure you're eating well, don't over do it etc!

PotatosMum · 05/09/2016 09:17

Indi lack of sleep could definitely be it. I found the last few weeks of pregnancy hell!

Lillian congrats on 33 weeks. I found I was more hormonal in the last trimester than any other time.

leonie infacol couldn't hurt, if it's wind it'll just make it easier to pass.

Lisa that sounds like an awful weekend. I hope you're feeling better now.

Marmite if you're really pale you may be anaemic, that could cause you to go dizzy and pass out too.

Elle DSS is back at school now and to be fair when he's in we barely notice as he spends all his time in his room. DSD when she's here is next to useless, no attention span and not easy to bribe because she has no concept of money thanks to her mum. OH is usually really helpful, he's just anxious about his interview.

Right, I think I need to get up! OHs last day at home today Sad not looking forward to him going back to work especially as I can't drive at the moment thanks to my blood pressure.

Pinklily1 · 05/09/2016 09:18

Marmite, that sounds scary. Definitely mention it to the midwife. I was often dizzy and light headed in the early stages of pregnancy, and couldn't walk far without sitting down. I never fainted though.

Lisa, are you feeling any better now?

Miley - woo hoo for only a few days left at work!!

Indi, the insomnia is a bugger isn't it. I think all you can do is have a little count down until baby arrives. I know we won't sleep properly once they are here, but it may be better quality sleep when we do manage some! Are you feeling any better today?

Feefs, congratulations on 26 weeks! I hope you manage to get another driving test booked in soon.

Hope all of our new mummies and babies are doing ok.

Still no baby here (40+6 now). Apparently the hospital will phone at some point today to tell me what time I need to go in tomorrow for the induction. I've felt quite relaxed about the whole birth process until the past few days when I've started realising induction is a very real possibility. Now I'm questioning everything - my hospital choice, my pain relief options, i'm even contemplating re-packing my hospital bags as I'm worried I have too much stuff!!

IndiX · 05/09/2016 09:53

Morning ladies,
Yeah I'm ok this morning, my BP is still low but my pulse isn't as high. I don't think it's anxiety but maybe it is, my mind is filled with lots of baby related crap atm. I just really wish I could have a decent nights sleep without being awake for 2/3 hours at a time. I'm just feeling a bit fed up with pregnancy now, I've had such an easy time with it compared to some but I'm bored of it now and just want to get these next few weeks out the way. Sorry for my Monday morning moan.

Miley you're so right, 4 weeks on Friday and then I'll meet little Beanie. It can't come quick enough! So exciting that you start ML soonGrin

Oh Lisa I'm sorry you've been so ill. Try to rest as much as you can before getting back to work, was it just a bug in the end? I hope you're feeling better now.

Enjoy your last day with OH potato, I'm sure you'll be fine when he goes back to work tomorrow. You sound like you're doing an amazing job with Arya. Just make sure you have all your food and necessities in if you can't drive atm.

I'm not taking anything for hot pipe Elle. I may get some gaviscon or rennies today though, everytime I lie down I feel like my food/water is coming back up.

I have so much housework and washing to do today and I'm going to try to fit in a spin class as it should perk my mood up a bit. Hope the rest of the preggo's are all ok and the mummies and babies are all doing well.

IndiX · 05/09/2016 09:55

Oh was meant to say pink that it's so exciting to think you'll be seeing you little baby so soon! The end is in sightGrin don't worry about last minute nerves once you get there I'm sure it'll all go smoothly, plus I think it's better to over pack than under pack.

leoniethelioness · 05/09/2016 10:55

Pink Don't worry about having too much stuff - I had loads! Hope baby decides to make an appearance soon xxx

marmitecheesetoast · 05/09/2016 12:20

Thanks all, will definitely mention it tomorrow. I'm feeling really down today just feel so crap and so exhausted. Have had to go to the toilets at work twice today for a cry, just because I feel so rubbish. Which isn't like me at all. Feel so pathetic! Finding it so tiring keeping it a secret too. I'm hoping things will feel easier when it's out in the open. Sorry for the moan.

Hope your baby doesn't keep you waiting too much longer pink

shelbTa · 05/09/2016 12:44

Hi ladies

Writing one handed whilst expressing!! Hope everyone is ok.

Pink - she'll be here soon!! Try not to worry about induction. My only advice is - rest and eat as much as you can so your energy legend are high. And for me - pethadine, when I was exhausted was the wrong pain relief as it makes so drowsy all I wanted to do was sleep- but that's just me.

So tired - baby up from 11-4am lady night!!!
X

Pinklily1 · 05/09/2016 13:10

Thanks ladies. I'll keep you posted as to how things progress.

Shelb, what expressed have you got and do you recommend it?

Marmite, how many weeks are you now? Are you going to tell work people when you get to 12 weeks?

Danni89 · 05/09/2016 13:18

Good luck pink... Your baby girl will be here soo, exciting! You can always change you pain relief options.

Oh my breastfeeding is hard work! gonna get a breast pump today too.

miley enjoy your last week at work.

Sorry for those suffering with Insomina/ blood pressure.

Lil Mason has a bit of jaundice so we have to keep an eye on it and may need to go back in hospital... Praying it gets better soon

Mileymoocow · 05/09/2016 14:21

danni I hope mason is ok and you don't have to go back in Sad

Left work early today to go to the NHS antenatal class which has been cancelled. It won't be rescheduled til after my due date now - anyone who has been, am I missing out on much?

leoniethelioness · 05/09/2016 15:05

Theodore is battling jaundice too, Danni. Fingers crossed they both stay below the treatment line.

Recommending the Medela Swing breast pump to all looking for one. Worth every penny.

shelbTa · 05/09/2016 15:22

Hi

Pink - we hired a medala one from the hospital and it's really good.

Danni, leonie - we were kept in hospital for two days while they monitored her jaundice so with you on that. Apparently flushing fluids through is meant to be good, and putting them next to the window for the benefit of sunlight.

X

PotatosMum · 05/09/2016 16:14

Pink sorry things haven't moved along for you. Really, don't panic though. I'm sure it'll all be fine and you'll be meeting your little girl soon.
I second pethidine making you drowsy but on the other hand I don't think I would have managed without it.

Shelb that sounds like a nightmare night Sad hopefully your LO starts sleeping a bit better soon.

Hope all the babies with jaundice recover soon Flowers

Arya met my mum today. Turns out mum had a water infection which accounted for her behaviour. She was perfectly fine today and absolutely adored Arya. She was desperately showing her off to anyone and everyone lol
