Behold, the wonder of birth! Members from 6 weeks bfp to post-partum wonder Mamas! No question to grotty or minging.

We've come full circle from obsessing about cervical mucus to now obsessing if it's our vagina baby plug going! What larks!

Lots of talk about poo, ours and now babies too! Baby brain is REAL! This heat can kiss my arse. And who KNEW being so neurotic about which changing mat to buy could be so satisfying and addictive!

Roll up literally, in my case, cause I'm practically rotund! for TTC #1 Grads!

I'VE FINISHED WORK!!!! WOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!! Grin

Feels great. Work were lovely, had very nice lunch out and spoilt with baby presents and pamper vouchers for me. I don't think it'll sink in til next week.

I'm definitely not in labour but I wouldn't be surprised if things are beginning to get going. My CM has cranked up hugely and I've done 4 poos in 24 hours - I would have been delighted with 4 pops in a week not long ago!

Sorry about the driving test feef
*
Pink* really hope things get going for you. Although if I have to walk a lo labour will probably never start for me, my feet are waaay too sore!

Hope everyone has nice things planned for the weekend.

Mileymoocow · 02/09/2016 18:09

Ah feef sorry Sad I don't know how true it is but I was always told that they only allow a certain amount of passes per day. Do you think you did ok or do you know what went wrong?

lillian I'm with you on the stressful sleeping. I have to have a pillow wedged under my belly and a one between my knees. Bit of a bugger setting it all back up after every toilet visit.

Brought my maternity leave forward by a week so I only have next week to get through before my 2 weeks holiday starts. I'm so relieved! Especially after a particularly trying week.

pink I'll also be watching this thread closely! Hope things start moving for you very soon

Mileymoocow · 02/09/2016 18:11

PotatosMum · 02/09/2016 18:29

lillian good luck for the scan. You have my sympathies on the sleep front, I was so uncomfortable in the last couple of weeks, it drove me crazy.
I may not get as much sleep now but at least I'm comfortable and I never thought I'd say this but it was great to get rid of the maternity pillow.

soda congrats on finishing work. Certainly sounds like things are happening, before you know it you'll be popping.

Miley sounds like bringing your maternity leave forward was the right choice.

Hate to say this ladies but in my experience the poos don't get any better after delivery thanks to piles and stitches Sad

LillianFullStop · 02/09/2016 18:32

congrats on the last day at work soda! how lovely of your colleagues!!! enjoy your first week off next week!

I feel your pain miley - I try to get to my multiple loo visits without switching on too many lights so I don't lose my sleepiness but impossible when I'm trying to get back into that very specific nook in between the pillows!!

drinkyourmilk · 02/09/2016 18:56

I had a big poo today too Soda first proper one in nearly 3 weeks. Was so satisfying! Congrats on making it to the end Grin
Hope the next week goes quickly Miley

Due date is April 3rd.
Babies already born will be nearly 8 months!!!Shock

Pinklily1 · 02/09/2016 20:13

Yeah for the last day of work Soda!

Sorry to hear about the driving test feefs. Onwards and upwards.

I'm so looking forward to being comfortable when sleeping. I know sleep will be broken by bay crying obviously, but even a small amount of comfortable sleep will be amazing, compared to the pillow propped sleep i'm doing at the minute!

marmitecheesetoast · 02/09/2016 20:13

Woohoo congrats on finishing work soda must be a great feeling and sounds like you had a lovely send off!

My EDD is currently 16th April.

Just had a call from the scan place, they've had a cancellation tomorrow morning so I can at least go in the morning now rather than waiting all day til 6pm! Even if that does mean relininquishing a lie in!

Pinklily1 · 02/09/2016 21:14

Good luck for the scan tomorrow Marmite! Will you be Team Vanilla when the time comes or will you find out babies sex when you can?

Co5mo · 02/09/2016 22:44

New Mums, a quick question... How many maternity pads have you gone through before you were able to switch to sanitary towels and how many did you need in hospital. Time to get this bag sorted out.

leoniethelioness · 03/09/2016 00:25

I'm using maternity pads still but my loss has been equivalent to or lighter than a normal period for me. The maternity pads are more cushioned than sanitary towels so you might be glad of them. They are comfortable enough to wear as well.

PotatosMum · 03/09/2016 05:39

Drink eek! I don't want to think about Arya being 8 months. She's just so perfect now Sad

Pink it is amazing to be able to sleep without pillow props.

Marmite good luck with the scan.

cosmo I only used one pack of maternity pads then I moved onto the extra long always nights.

Arya just slept through from 11pm to 5am Grin woohoo!

Last night was a bit of a trauma though. We gave Arya a bath, she hated it! Then daddy fed her, I'm not sure what he did but when he handed her to me to be burped she vomited the entire bottle into my bra Hmm mean while DSD was in her room texting her mum that she was upset because she missed her. She then text OH who went and got her and insisted she watch a movie with us while she sat at the end of the sofa complaining that she was tired and wanted to go to bed... Translation, she had been texting her mum for attention and it had backfired. Although I do believe she was upset because she wanted her mums attention and wasn't getting it. Confused

drinkyourmilk · 03/09/2016 05:48

Sorry Potato She will continue to be perfect I promise Flowers. She's doing really well sleeping through.

Can anyone remember being 10 weeks - did you get stretching feelings? I'm trying to decide whether I need to call my midwife. I feel quite heavy where my uterus would be and have a dull ache. Had it for a few days now but had put it down to constipation - which has no cleared. Can only think it's stretching but 2 friends who are only a few days further than me don't have it so I'm a bit worried.

shelbTa · 03/09/2016 07:19

Morning ladies

How is everyone? Pink how you doing?

Ladies who have given birth - did you have horrendous teary hormones around days four and five?!? Yesterday was so hard, I cried literally all day!!!

X

Danni89 · 03/09/2016 07:57

Morning all,

Thanks for doing the list lillian slight change for me as Mason was born on the 1st Sept.

The bleeding isn't as bad as I thought it would be, I defo over bought on maternity pads but they are comfy cosmo

You lucky thing potato, I can't wait till Mason sleeps a little better.
He only seems to like one breast at the moment, and it's becoming painful already Shock

Oh dear shelb I did feel myself getting a Lil emotional yesterday already, just with being overwhelmed and extremely tired. Hope you're ok though and have the support around you

Pinklily1 · 03/09/2016 08:00

Morning all

It's amazing that Arya slept through Potato!

How are you and Theodore doing now that you are home Leonie?

Shelb, I'm ok. 40+4 today Shock I lost what I think was all of my mucus plug yesterday and have had quite bad period like pains in the night. I thought that was the proper start of things but seemingly not as they are gone again this morning. I swear this labour malarkey messes with your mind Hmm

IndiX · 03/09/2016 08:01

Morning ladies,

Good luck for the scan marmite.

Sorry about the driving test feefs but you can always take it again. Have you rebooked?

Potato you sound like you have a little angel child sleeping from 11-5! I want one like that!!Grin

Yay for being signed off new!
*
Miley* I am SO hormonal atm. I can even feel it coming on and I can cry over the smallest thing that I would usually just shrug off. How are you feeling today? I think it's great you've brought your ML forward.

Drink I definitely had period/stretching pains early on. It's worrying but completely normal.

DH had a lovely birthday yesteday, we had a good shop and lunch in Manchester and then came back for a little birthday dinner with my family.
My Nan pissed me off though, she can be lovely but she has got a very bitchy side to her. She made a comment that my mum was 'weird' for having one of my 4D scans in a frame in the living room, becuase Beanie isn't 'cooked yet and it's not very nice', I then jumped on her and said no I think it's lovely and my mum is proud and Beanie could be born now and be fine etc so she backed off. She then started taking the piss saying 'pull your tummy in' when I was getting a photo with DH. She was joking obviously but I was in no mood at all and had a little cry in the kitchen where she couldn't see.
I'm already feeling enormous and self conscious I don't know why she/people have to say anything. Usually I get people saying that I'm small for 8 months etc but it's like she can't help herself being bitchy.
Anyway, I won't be seeing her now until the baby is born thank god.

Hope everyone is well.
Also Lillian my c section date is the 7th October..don't know if that changes the dates list Grin

Pinklily1 · 03/09/2016 08:17

Shelb, hope you are feeling better Flowers

Dannii, are you and Mason home now? I hope he takes to the other breast too to give you a bit of a break!

Indi, I don't know why people make comments like that. Sometimes I think grandparents in particular feel like they can say whatever they want.

Danni89 · 03/09/2016 08:28

Not home yet pink, stayed another night to try and establish the breastfeeding a little more, but still indices on the right tit, should be home today though... Btw your earlier question, his middle name is Bailey. Hope you doing well and your labour starts soon

Pack snacks/drinks your hospital bags guys... Hospital food is vile Envy.. OH bought me Pizza Hut yesterday though Wink

PotatosMum · 03/09/2016 08:29

Drink stretching pains are quite normal as are period type pains Smile

Shelb yep, that's about the point your hormones peak. It should slowly ease now Smile

Danni Arya started to sleep better after about a week and apart from the odd bad night she's been getting steadily better ever since.

Pink aww, baby really is making you wait. What are they going to do next or is it full induction now?

Lillian I missed that you'd redone the list. Thank you so much. It's practically impossible to keep on top of it with this little one wanting my attention all the time... Sometimes it takes hours just to finish a post Confused

Danni89 · 03/09/2016 08:30

*but still not on the right tit that was ment to say

Pinklily1 · 03/09/2016 08:38

Potaro, they only offer one sweep here, which I have had. If baby hasn't arrived by Tuesday morning I will be induced at some point on Tuesday (they don't let you know what time until the night before).

ElleSarcasmo · 03/09/2016 09:09

Morning all!

I've got my fingers crossed that today is the day for you Pink! Hope you are managing to get some rest.

Good luck with the scan today Marmite!

Shelb I've read that's normal, hope you're feeling ok now.

Danni have you got access to any support with feeding? They might be able to help with positioning or something like that?

Sorry about the test Feefs Sad

The ache is definitely normal Drink, my midwife also put it down to uterus stretching. I think mine stopped after 2nd trimester.

Miley yay for finishing a week early. I have days already where I wish I was finishing soon Blush. I've only got another 8 weeks left, and one week of that is annual leave luckily. Can't wait!

HepKestrel · 03/09/2016 09:43

lillian no detectable heartbeat at ~7w scan yesterday.

I have another scan next week to see if there is any growth or it is a unviable pregnancy.

I wish you all well, but i have to duck out this thread for now.

not in happy place at mo. But the in laws are visiting this weekend, so putting my best face on ...
