Behold, the wonder of birth! Members from 6 weeks bfp to post-partum wonder Mamas! No question to grotty or minging.

We've come full circle from obsessing about cervical mucus to now obsessing if it's our vagina baby plug going! What larks!

Lots of talk about poo, ours and now babies too! Baby brain is REAL! This heat can kiss my arse. And who KNEW being so neurotic about which changing mat to buy could be so satisfying and addictive!

Roll up literally, in my case, cause I'm practically rotund! for TTC #1 Grads!

I'm 38+2 pink. But I just had a poo and feel better. The traumas of constipation!! Blush Sorry you're feeling down. I don't blame you, fast forward a couple of weeks and I expect I'll feel exactly the same, really don't want to be induced.

Gearing up for last commutes and last day of work for a YEAR!

marmitecheesetoast · 02/09/2016 07:52

Hello Mason what a cutie! Sorry it was a bit traumatic Danni but congratulations!!!

Good luck with your driving test today feefs! I've been trying to get back into driving recently myself. It's been so many years since I drove I've really lost my confidence.

Have had proper puking this morning as opposed to just nausea and gagging... Hope it's now finished as I'm about to leave for work Hmm (sorry for anyone reading that over breakfast!)

ElleSarcasmo · 02/09/2016 08:20

Congratulations Danni! Mason is gorgeous, look at those cheeks. Hope you're getting plenty of rest, sorry your labour was traumatic.

Drink the last time I didn't check for a day, 2 babies were born!

Potato Arya looks so contented and gorgeous!

Bunch I welled up a bit with your description of how happy you are just carrying Atticus around the supermarket.

Mileymoocow · 02/09/2016 08:22

Oh marmite I hope it's not here for the long haul! Fx you're a lucky one and only have it a short while.

danni congratulations!!! What a beautiful baby he is! And well done Grin birth sounds traumatic but you should be so proud of yourself Flowers

Thanks for the sympathy yesterday re my hormonal break downs! I'm shattered today but not as weepy. Think I may have managed to get a grip of myself. I've asked if I can bring my ML forward a week so if I can I'll be on 2 weeks holiday from next Friday then not back til next June!

mayago · 02/09/2016 08:32

Congratulations Danni! He's precious!

Good luck on your driving test today Feef!

Sorry to read and run, but holiday starts now!

Mileymoocow · 02/09/2016 08:42

feef yes! I forgot to say good luck today 🍀

may have a lovely holiday! I'm a teeeeeeeny bit jealous!!

mayago · 02/09/2016 08:47

Thanks miley! I was terrified I'd need a seatbelt extension, but it fits easily over my 22 week bump Grin

shelbTa · 02/09/2016 09:59

Aww pink - I feel for you, but that's EXACTLY how mine started honestly, on and off then my waters broke. Time them next time you have them. Hang in there

X

PotatosMum · 02/09/2016 10:13

Bunch I second wind in babies being just hell. Arya slept properly last night for the first time in two nights. It was bliss but I was awake most of the night checking on her.

Soda keep us posted, sounds like it could be very early labour. If it is you'll know soon.

Shelb get some infacol. I burp with her on my shoulder, I do quick pats up and down her back then some slower pats between her shoulders and then a rub her back and repeat. It can take a little while to get gas up. Don't worry if you're getting the odd mouthful of spit up milk, that's normal and will reduce in the next couple of weeks. Also after feeding try to keep your baby upright for 20 minutes, it will help the milk stay down and give her some tummy time at the same time Smile

Pink it must be so frustrating for you. Please don't panic about being induced. It really wasn't that bad and once your baby arrives you won't give two hoots how it happened.

Mayo enjoy your holls Smile

shelbTa · 02/09/2016 10:21

Thanks potato. So do you wind straight after feeding or let it go down for 20 mins then wind?

X

shelbTa · 02/09/2016 10:23

Pink - sorry didn't see you were being induced. I was worried too but it's honestly not that bad, and they turned it up to full whack on mine. I managed on only gas and air to 6 cm. Don't worry honestly.

X

Pinklily1 · 02/09/2016 10:28

Thanks ladies.

Were you both induced Potato and shelb (sorry, my memory is rubbish at the minute)? My only issues with induction are it means no water birth and also OH can't stay overnight - he would get sent home at 8pm and then called back in if there is any progress during the night.

I've just lost a bit clump of mucus plug - who knew a blob of bloody goo could make a person feel so happy Grin

Co5mo · 02/09/2016 10:29

What a gorgeous Mason you have there Drink.

Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you Fee.

I'm down in the dumps today so sorry for moaning again. Have been having BHS every 3 to 4 minutes since last night and it's driving me mad. Sleeping was pretty much impossible and I'm getting loads of heartburn to top it all off. Oddly, exercise seems to have triggered it. If I were getting any other symptoms I'd be heading over to maternity assessment. Baby's movement in between is fine. Anyone elseen hac this?

Co5mo · 02/09/2016 10:37

Omg. I've lost the ability to type. I think I meant to ask whether anyone else had a similar experience?

shelbTa · 02/09/2016 10:42

Pink - you're on you way trust me, all sounding very familiar! Yeah I was induced after waters went, was already 1cm x

PotatosMum · 02/09/2016 10:44

Shelb I wind half way through feeding then again at the end. I keep winding until I get a good man sized burp Wink this can take 10 minutes but is quicker with infacol and worth it. We have a 20 minute cuddle at the end this also helps to settle her so that she usually doesn't wake up when I put her down.
She sometimes still spits up a little but it's not often and not much Smile

Pink yep I was induced... Well, they broke my waters and we're going to induce me two hours later but I progressed too quickly Smile your OH being sent home would be a pain, I suppose you could kick up a fuss and insist on being induced in the morning though.

Cosmo are your BH only in your tummy or do they go round your back too? It may be worth speaking to the delivery suit just to get advice.

leoniethelioness · 02/09/2016 11:11

Good luck, Feef. Thinking of you! Fingers crossed xxx

Pink Hope you don't have to wait too much longer.

Hope all my fellow mums are doing well - and the mums to be too!

Shelb Does your daughter have a name yet?

Waiting for the midwife to visit this morning and my cousin at lunchtime then back to bed with DH and Theo. He sleeps well in his Snuzpod but it's nice to have him between us in his Sleepyhead for our naps. We aren't sure about using it overnight...

Co5mo · 02/09/2016 11:14

Definitely just in my bump Potato. No pain to speak of, just seriously uncomfortable and tired from very ltitle sleep. I can practically see the MAU from my desk so if anything were to change, I'll get myself over there pretty quickly. Think I'll stick it out a few more hours and hope it settles.

Pinklily1 · 02/09/2016 11:54

Haha Leonie, OH and I have already trawled through the lists!! No real surprises at the top for the girls or boys names I don't think. Some of the spellings of names further down the lists are a bit intriguing though!

Just off for another walk to try to jig things up. I'd like to think all of these walks are keeping us fit as well, but we had fish and chips after yesterday's and we are going out for lunch before today's Shock Oh well!

Cosmo, hope all is ok.

Feefeefs · 02/09/2016 15:54

Thanks for all the good luck messages! Didn't pass Sad but I'm okay more frustrated than anything will just have to try again!

Newmrs22 · 02/09/2016 16:28

Gah I've missed so much again. I struggle to type 1 handed Grin

Congratulations on the babies Nev and danni

Someone asked if I made it to 40 weeks. I did! Gave birth at 40 weeks exactly!

We DTD the day before my waters broke. I'm actually quite in the mood to give it a go soon, but I'm still a little sore so will wait a while. I think DH is scared of hurting me.

Pink I think walking helped start me off. Keep going!

Well we've been signed off by the midwife now. I don't have to see the health visitor again until Jacob is 6 weeks. Feels very strange to just be left to it! I can take him to the drop in clinic for weighting though.

Co5mo · 02/09/2016 16:29

Oh what a shame Fee. Good luck for next time.

I appear to have fixed myself with icecream! New plan...every time I get BH eat icecream Grin

drinkyourmilk · 02/09/2016 17:09

Sorry to hear that Feef. Don't be too hard on yourself. Cake

PotatosMum · 02/09/2016 17:15

Feef aww never mind, it took me 5 attempts Blush

New I struggle with the one handed typing too Grin

Arya has been sleeping on me practically all day. I think OH is a little fed up of how much I hold her but I just can't help it Confused

LillianFullStop · 02/09/2016 17:22

Oh wow congrats Danni!!! Sorry the birth was traumatic but glad all is well with cutie Mason. Congrats on being signed off new - that would freak me out too I think. Off you go they say! Yikes! Am loving these mumming tips and stories though - it makes me so excited!

pink sounds like you will have LO with you sometime this weekend!! will be watching the thread for news Smile

feef sorry about driving test - hope the next one will do the trick.

Cosmo I am going to try that ice cream trick. Mine aren't coming as often yet at 32+5 - maybe 1-2 a day but I'll keep it in mind!

hope the sickness eases up marmite. hope work wasn't too challenging today.

sorry the hormones have got you miley Sad

mayago do they have plans to come and visit you? I think my parents are planning for spring next year (they are not at all keen on winter). I don't plan to travel until LO is 5-6 months and they've had immunisations.

Sleep has become stressful for me because i'm so uncomfortable. DH has come up with a configuration involving 3 pillows and a cushion which has worked better the last 2 nights. It's hard to get out of though - I'm effectively cocooned and cushioned in pillows. Getting up 4-5 times a night to go to the toilet - although I don't know where all the bloody fluids come from! Maybe I am retaining water during the day and my body decides to purge it instead of letting me sleep.

Got a scan on Monday at 33+1 - hopefully to finally rule out a cesarean for this low lying placenta. Scan at 28w showed it moved up and wasn't covering the cervix anymore but doctor wanted to make sure it is well out of the way for a VB. Wish me luck! on the plus side I get another sneak peak at LO!

4 more weeks until my ML! counting down!!
