May 2017 - anybody out there?

Hi

I just found out at the weekend that I'm pregnant, this will be no. 2. Had no idea how far gone I was as I had just had AF 7th Aug but after a very early scan this morning it looks like I've conceived since then...very surprised as HPT is seriously strong and I got 5 +ve OPK's last week which by the scan I would have only just conceived at that point.

Very much a waiting game at the moment and back in 2 weeks for another scan. If I am indeed only 3 weeks then I have pretty much the same due date as I had for my DD Grin only 1 year apart. Let the crazy times commence!

Anyone else this early in pregnancy and due in May 2017?

Aww sorry to hear your bad news feeling and blessed

I've just had midwife booking appointment which was ok, she was nice enough! Already had hospital antenatal appointment this week so feels a bit overkill given nothing is actually happening at the moment.

MaisyL68 · 22/09/2016 14:15

Hey ladies! I'm due the 1st of May with my first 😊

namuandme · 22/09/2016 14:47

Please can I join, due 9th May, and its my 1st!

Had a scan booked in for something else on Monday so kept the appointment and got to see baby and hear the hear beat, I've been trying for years so all a bit scary and overwhelming!

:)

Northernexile · 22/09/2016 15:19

So sorry to hear your news blessed and newyork, take care of yourselves x

Welcome Maisy and namu

AnneLovesGilbert · 22/09/2016 15:57

Welcome new people, hope we all have healthy uneventful pregnancies and lovely snuggly babies at the end of it x

lalaland1985 · 22/09/2016 15:59

Hi McBaby! I remember you from the September bus GrinGlad to hear all is well. I'm on holiday just now and enjoying the relaxation. My booking appointment is not till October 4th and my scan is October 21st! No idea how I will wait that long!

Sonnet18 · 22/09/2016 16:17

Hi mcbaby, I too am due on 13th may but I'm not definite about my dates and how long my cycle is...how far along are you currently?

EnterWittyUsernameHere · 22/09/2016 16:24

Flowers for blessed and newyork

Welcome to the other ladies!

I finally have my booking in appointment through for 5 October which seems ages away - I wish I could just fast forward through this tired, sick feeling and start enjoying pregnancy!

ImogenTubbs · 22/09/2016 16:42

So sorry blessed and newyork and wishing you both happy news very soon.

I had the equivalent of my booking appt this morning (I'm in Spain, but didn't have to use Google translate too much!) and the good news is they told me I am completely covered for maternity care here - hooray! Blood tests next week and then first scan end of October. A relief that I don't have to try and coordinate travel back to the UK for every appt, but will be challenging doing everything in a second language.

Waves to lala

Sonnet I am 6+5.

I also have hideous morning sickness and the consultant prescribed cyclizine this morning and today I have felt a bit sick and so so hungry!! Although there is nothing I fancy eating!

talulahbelle · 22/09/2016 18:14

6+1 here. The wait for the first scan is so long. No nausea but the occasional waves of dizzy-yuckness. I'm just so so tired though which I hope is a good sign. It's not even 7pm and I'm thinking about bed.

Streaky17 · 22/09/2016 18:36

Quick question- how is the 12 week scan scheduled?
My booking apt is at 9+4, 21st Oct. Will the scan be arranged then or is it done separately? TIA

Sonnet18 · 22/09/2016 18:43

The midwife organises the 12 week scan (where I am anyway) and you just get a letter through.

Sonnet18 · 22/09/2016 18:45

Thanks mcbaby... I am apparently 6+5 as well. I have an early scan in about 10 days so all will be revealed then. I think I'm maybe only 6+1 or so as I ovulated on day 21 and got my bfp on day 31 so I'm not thinking I can be as far on as you.

Damson9 · 22/09/2016 19:04

Streaky, round ours, my booking appointment and scan date turned up together in the same envelope, they arrived around 7 and a half weeks :)

The wait for them seemed never ending! Although the wait to the scan (at 12+3) is seeming even longer!

Urk, double post. Apologies Blush

4sacharm · 22/09/2016 19:41

Welcome new folk!

mcbaby I am also due on the 13 th of may but like sonnet I think I ovulated late, I track temperatures and I think am due on the 18 th of may, making me 6 weeks tomorrow!

Symptom wise still not much, tiredness and needing to pee and slightly tender nipples, that seems less last few days. These first few weeks are torturous, I am going to take a clear blue digital on Saturday and hope it says 3 + weeks and that will reassure me about progression. Then just have to wait for booking, days are like weeks at the moment, I feel like I have been pregnant for ages!

Adventuregame · 22/09/2016 19:43

Got a maternity bra today - ahhhhhh so comfy !!!!

ginandcake · 22/09/2016 19:46

Sorry to hear your sad news feeling, look after yourself.

Welcome all new arrivals.

8+2 today and finally saw my GP for the totally pointless appointment to get referred, wish we could just self refer. Managed to make my booking appointment today though which will be in 2 weeks when I'll be 10+2. The booking lady said i would be given my 12 week scan date at that appointment, hope they have some slots, seems a bit tight for time. Have therefore decided to book a private appointment for next week, only costs £45, not sure I would have paid any more.

peasandquiet · 22/09/2016 19:56

Gin, where roughly are you? £45 is good, It's £100 at all the places i've found (Essex)

ginandcake · 22/09/2016 19:59

North West, things are cheaper up north!

Also helps that's it's a relatively new company so their prices are lower than others but I've heard good things about them.

fempsych · 22/09/2016 20:01

Cheapest I can find near me is £100 - £45 seems a bargain! My symptoms are rapidly disappearing which, whilst making my day easier, is slightly nerve wracking. But telling myself I can't do anything either way so enjoying the reduction in nausea.

Hello to all the new people!

McBaby · 22/09/2016 20:06

Cheapest I can find in north London is £99 I will have another scan at around 10 weeks then my nhs dating scan at 13. I think that will
keep me calm.

SunnyInMay · 22/09/2016 21:09

Welcome everyone

I would definitely book a scan for that price. The cheapest I've found is £75 but most places here charge £100. Not sure I can justify the cost.
