May 2017 - anybody out there?

Hi

I just found out at the weekend that I'm pregnant, this will be no. 2. Had no idea how far gone I was as I had just had AF 7th Aug but after a very early scan this morning it looks like I've conceived since then...very surprised as HPT is seriously strong and I got 5 +ve OPK's last week which by the scan I would have only just conceived at that point.

Very much a waiting game at the moment and back in 2 weeks for another scan. If I am indeed only 3 weeks then I have pretty much the same due date as I had for my DD Grin only 1 year apart. Let the crazy times commence!

Anyone else this early in pregnancy and due in May 2017?

Hi newyork, the difference could be because first morning urine is stronger maybe? They do say to test with that. I would leave it for now if you can, maybe test first thing in the morning in a couple of days if you want reassurance. Also false negatives are possible but not false positives I believe.
hanflan I'll be interested in how your vbac chat goes, I'll be doing the same in a couple of weeks. I've had 2 cs's though so maybe my vbac chances are slim to none!
Hope you have a lovely holiday jenny
I'm almost 9 weeks and have an obvious bump. I don't think I'll be able to hide it till 12 weeks, I'm so much bigger than last time. Think I'll have to crack and tell the boss in the next few days. I have been scaring DH telling him it's probably twins! Grin

newyorklover81 · 20/09/2016 21:19

Thanks both - I've had two previous miscarriages so can't stop worrying,

I am due 30th May so still very early days :) hope I can stick around xxx

lullaby23 · 21/09/2016 03:45

northernexile haha I have said the same to DH as was feeling sick much earlier than last time, he turned a bit green!

newyorklover81 · 21/09/2016 06:28

So I tested this morning with a clear blue, my period was due yesterday and the line is barely there now, it's definitely almost disappeared :(

Been through this before and I know the line should be getting darker or at least the same.

Have a feeling my period is going to arrive :(

Sonnet18 · 21/09/2016 07:25

What test did you use before? Clear blue or a more sensitive one like First response?
Sorry you're having a stressful time. It's so upsetting not knowing what's going on. Hope all is ok for you

newyorklover81 · 21/09/2016 07:33

Sonnet18 I used a normal first response (not the early one) and a cb digi and both showed positive xx

Sonnet18 · 21/09/2016 08:01

Oh ok. I think I can see a faint line on the photo so at the moment you are pregnant...I know that's not reassuring as you want a definite answer. If no period, and you are able to wait, maybe test again with a digi in a few days? That way you won't be trying to work out how dark a line is- the first digi you used said 1-2 weeks so any less than that would indicate a problem. If it remained at 1-2 I wouldn't be too disheartened as some people's bodies build the hormone a lot slower than others. Hope you've something nice planned for today to help pass the time for you

Damson9 · 21/09/2016 08:17

So, I managed to scare the crap out of myself last night.

I went for a wee and when I wiped it was like pink-tinged CM, very faint, but enough to make me freak out.

'Oh my god,' I think, 'I'm spotting.' Then I realise I've been cramping fairly badly for the last couple of days. 'No,no,no,' I think, 'could this be the start of a miscarriage?'

Then I realise that in the shower I felt for my cervix position (oddly low, I thought - is that something I should be worried about?) and that the spotting will be from me having poked myself. Then I think about the cramps and realise that I'm so bloated I look half way gone already and it'll be trapped wind.

I am an idiot.

newyorklover81 · 21/09/2016 08:33

Thanks sonnet18, I was supposed to be on a course for work but just had a call that my daughter is sick so I need to go and collect her from school so today will be working from home on my laptop - not huge fun but better than a course while I'm feeling rubbish.

I really hope it's just doubling very slowly and I still need to be using sensitive tests to pick it up. My period was due yesterday so I'm 1 day late. Think I will do my best to hold off on testing now until either my period arrives or I get some obvious pregnancy symptoms. Xx

Streaky17 · 21/09/2016 08:55

Hope its OK newyork as everyone has said it is just wait and see.

I feel like crap today, so tired but I have the day off. Unfortunately a builder is coming round so I won't be able to take a nap until later. I may need to reconsider early am exercise two days in a row but it feels too early to make adjustments to routine.

Still no symptoms apart from sore boobs.

4sacharm · 21/09/2016 08:58

Newyork so sorry your going through this, it must be so frustrating. Am pregnant with my fourth baby and I have never got a positive before day 14 with any of my pregnancies. With my dd ( no 1) and this one I got very faint tests at 14 dpo, I think my babies implant late. So don't lose hope, don't test for a few days, let things double and then retest, I can see the line so your definitely pregnant. I know lots of ladies that tried to compare the strength of lines taken at different times and it meant nothing. Keeping everything crossed you have a sticky bean!

BeanSpr0ut · 21/09/2016 09:07

Hope everyone is getting on OK. My immune system is so low I'm onto my second cold of the month. Ugh. I've got a really bad left knee too, can't bend it very well. I'm blaming that on hormones. I want my bed waaaah.

MissMooMoo · 21/09/2016 09:31

Managed to sleep last night from 10-6 without getting up for a wee. I feel so well rested but can't believe I managed to sleep the whole night.
Hopefully this doesn't mean anything is wrong? Still have tender boobs and lots kf gagging this morning in the shower, without actually being sick.

hanflan · 21/09/2016 09:49

Urgh the sickness is particularly bad today. I am pretty much surviving on just salt and vinegar crisps and coke zero. Healthy eating during pregnancy, what's that?! The mere thought of fruit and veg makes me gag haha

hanflan · 21/09/2016 09:50

newyork how frustrating for you, hate being stuck in limbo! But for now you are pregnant. Don't test again for another couple of days, hopefully by then you'll see a good strong line.

MissMooMoo · 21/09/2016 10:27

newyork I would test with a FRER or a digital in the morning if AF is still a no show.
I do see a line on the clearblue, and no AF is a good sign.
Best of luck.

lottesuz8 · 21/09/2016 10:37

Hi all. When do/did you all start do show? It's my first and don't know what to expect. Massively bloated today so it could be early showing or just bloating. Hard to tell as usually flat again in the morning but not today. I want to keep doing exercise for as long as possible too. Wishful thinking perhaps....
Skinny jeans already feeling a bit snug Grin
(I'm now 8+4)

SunnyInMay · 21/09/2016 11:00

newyork it must be so frustrating. Wait another day or two and use a digital with first morning urine.

lotte I suspect it's just bloating at the moment. That usually subsides a bit before a proper bump starts to appear but everyone is different.

The nausea has really kicked in now. Reassuring in a way but this time round I'm a sahm with two young children to look after so hoping it doesn't get as bad as last pregnancy.

newyorklover81 · 21/09/2016 11:10

Thanks everyone, this is baby number 5 for me so you'd think I would be used to the worry but it doesn't get any easier :(

1st baby with my current partner tho so it's still just as special!

I caved! I could t help myself and I have done a Superdrug test - they are just as sessitive as frer apparently (10miu) and there is a faint line.

I will know either way tomorrow because I am going to test first thing with a digi test and if I get preg 1-2 I'll be happy and if it's negative then I know my levels have fallen since the positive digi on Monday.

I wish you all lots of luck for healthy pregnancies xxxx

May 2017 - anybody out there?
SunnyInMay · 21/09/2016 11:40

Well that's definitely a line! Smile

MissMooMoo · 21/09/2016 11:52

Yes def a line there!

Sonnet18 · 21/09/2016 11:55

lotte I didn't properly start wearing maternity clothes until about 24 weeks or so...but I'm naturally kinda thin (well, used to be!) so I think I just carried it better. This time round my "normal" clothes are still tight from not having lost my last half stone of baby weight...no point trying to lose it now!
I've had mild nausea the past few days...I'm a little concerned as I had terrible nausea and sickness last time. I'm hoping it doesn't mean anything!!

Sauvignonismysaviour · 21/09/2016 12:01

Can I join too please?

I'm 34, this is my first baby and due 23/05/2017.

Have wanted a baby for about 5 years but the timing has always been "out" and there's been a lot of stress. So managing to TTC on the first try was somewhat of a shock but a very, very pleasant one. Absolutely over the moon!

So I'm 5 weeks and feeling pretty well. The only symptoms I have are very mild stretching cramps; thirsty; tingling boobs and I just feel slightly different - but well (for now).

Good luck to all you other ladies in your journeys too x

Frogqueen13 · 21/09/2016 12:37

Can I join too please, I'm 28years old 5 weeks pregnant with the coil, it's been pretty rocky so far, I have the coil in, I found out by accident after going to get a prescription for antibiotics for my rosacea and needing to confirm I wasn't pregnant before taking them.
Low and behold I'm pregnant, currently under epau, first scan last week was too early, blood hcg levels low, 2nd bloods much more positive, but I'm constantly bleeding. And now vomiting.

We want this baby so much so I'm thinking positive and it's gonna be fine :)

Should be due 25th may :)
