May 2017 - anybody out there?

Hi

I just found out at the weekend that I'm pregnant, this will be no. 2. Had no idea how far gone I was as I had just had AF 7th Aug but after a very early scan this morning it looks like I've conceived since then...very surprised as HPT is seriously strong and I got 5 +ve OPK's last week which by the scan I would have only just conceived at that point.

Very much a waiting game at the moment and back in 2 weeks for another scan. If I am indeed only 3 weeks then I have pretty much the same due date as I had for my DD Grin only 1 year apart. Let the crazy times commence!

Anyone else this early in pregnancy and due in May 2017?

Anne - I waited till I got a decent dark line on a Frer before I informed the surgery. I told them on Thursday (3+5) last week. A bit early thinking about it but I was walking past the surgery and decided I might as well go in. I am now not so sure what to do next. The receptionist took my details, LMP date and said the midwife would call me to make an appointment. I haven't had any further communication but it could be because it is too early. Now the waiting game.

Slightly nauseous but then it was worse earlier in the day.

I have now managed to read through the whole thread and caught up. Flowers to those whose beans did not stick. It is such a delicate time the 1st trimester but all we can hope for is that we get through alright.

I will update the list with my details.

Feeling really tired and the heat is really draining me, I so hope we do NOT have a heatwave come April and May as I can not even imagine this with a big bump.
I am a nanny and have 3 charges (8,6,3) and I am finding it hard to cook as all the smells are so offputting! Just holding my breath every time I prepare tea.

FoxMulder · 14/09/2016 18:01

I saw the doctor last week to get anti emetics and she told me to make an appointment with the midwife, so my booking appointment is on Monday! It's still not sunk in that this is happening and I'm seeing a midwife in a few days!

lalaland1985 · 14/09/2016 18:28

I'm May 6th too. Smile

AnneLovesGilbert · 14/09/2016 19:00

I'm due 20th as well!

Sorry you're suffering MooMoo x

It'll be exciting Fox! But I know what you mean. I looked at DH earlier and said "We're having a baby aren't we?!" He asked me if I'm still getting used to the idea. Well yes, yes of course I am! I have t don't it before Smile

talulahbelle · 14/09/2016 19:03

The thread's getting busier Smile Lovely to see, welcome all new people.

MissMooMoo I'm pretty tired as well, DD seems to be sensing it and playing up even more (or I'm not managing her as well) Work tomorrow is going to be a nice break.

Given I'm only 5 weeks I can't believe how bloated I am. By this time of day I've a huge stomach, it's too soon for a bump surely?!

Ghostonthedancefloor · 14/09/2016 20:22

Great news on the scan tea

Sipperskipper · 14/09/2016 21:40

Excellent news tea

SunnyInMay · 14/09/2016 21:52

Hello, is it ok to join? Due baby #3 around the 18th May. I also have DS who is 3 years 10 months and DD is 18 months.

Relatively symptom free here, just very tired despite being on holiday at the moment.

Slightly cautious as I had an early miscarriage between having DS and DD, but also can't help being excited.

Hope everyone is doing ok Smile

Ghostonthedancefloor · 14/09/2016 22:14

Lots of us having dc3! I woke up the middle of last night with an awful "what the hell am I doing" thought. It's stuck with me all day especially after a particularly tiring day at work and coming home to two very demanding littles.

We'll be fine, we'll be fine, we'll be fine....

teainbed · 15/09/2016 07:01

Yes me too ghost. It's an ongoing nag for me, like once I day (usually when I'm tired) I think 'what have I have done!'. I know it always passes.

trinityrabbit · 15/09/2016 07:17

Morning :-) Am 4+5 today..wow this is going to be a long wait til the scan. Can't remember how to do bold as on my phone...Tea was your viability scan through nhs or private? I'm expecting after only 1 mmc the nhs won't offer an early one..may have to go private as think the wait will drive me crazy. Didn't find out about mmc til 11 weeks last time and babies (was twins!) stopped growing at 5.5 weeks.

Got super sensitive smell and nausea as well as some lovely bloat...and am starting the belly rub already ha!

TheOracleAtSelfie · 15/09/2016 07:32

Eugh feeling v sick this morning. Thank god DH doesn't work on Thursdays - toast and lemon water in bed whilst he looks after DD and I'm starting to feel almost human.

I think I'm going to have to start keeping crackers next to my bed for early morning nausea on days when he's out the house early and I have to get up with DD.

Welcome newbies! Busy thread now Smile

ginandcake · 15/09/2016 08:06

We will be fine ghost but I too keep having those 'shit what have we done moments!'. 7 weeks today, only 33 to go!

jennymac31 · 15/09/2016 08:38

Well I'll be having an ultrasound this afternoon on my stomach, as I had an umbilical hernia at the beginning of the year and I'm having a check up. Didn't think I would be pregnant by the time the appointment came round. Dh is hoping I'll be able to see a little sac but given that I'm only 4 + 5 I don't think the doctors will be able to pick anything up.

jennymac31 · 15/09/2016 08:40

Anyone had a baby after having an umbilical hernia operation? Did you face any complications during the pregnancy or birth? Dh is convinced I should have a c-section but I would rather not.

teainbed · 15/09/2016 09:14

trinity it was NHS, I have diabetes and it's standard to do one apparently. I don't think private ones are that expensive if you decide to go for it?

CinnamonTwist · 15/09/2016 09:38

trinity you put an asterisk either side of the words you want in bold.

I am feeling so crap today! Going out tonight for a work do and I don't know how I am going to manage it!

ImogenTubbs · 15/09/2016 09:39

Have read through thread - so interesting to see everyone's different experiences, but so many of us going through the same anxieties! Flowers to those who have not been lucky this time and hoping for happy news for you in the future.

Thanks for the congrats Fox. Horrendous backache here and tiredness. I'm still in disbelief about the whole thing tbh! Am currently in Europe for a few months, so need to figure out how to plan the booking appointment thing and next steps. European Health Card and current travel insurance don't cover me, except for emergencies, so think I'll just have to fly back for appointments. Hmm... some stuff to figure out for me!

Anyway, have added myself to the list (due same day as Notthereyet, by my calculations, anyway:
