May 2017 - anybody out there?

Hi

I just found out at the weekend that I'm pregnant, this will be no. 2. Had no idea how far gone I was as I had just had AF 7th Aug but after a very early scan this morning it looks like I've conceived since then...very surprised as HPT is seriously strong and I got 5 +ve OPK's last week which by the scan I would have only just conceived at that point.

Very much a waiting game at the moment and back in 2 weeks for another scan. If I am indeed only 3 weeks then I have pretty much the same due date as I had for my DD Grin only 1 year apart. Let the crazy times commence!

Anyone else this early in pregnancy and due in May 2017?

Adventuregame · 14/09/2016 09:56

5 weeks today. Sore boobs but that's about it. Obviously worried due to mmc last year but just have to wait it out !
Hope everyone is doing ok x

Streaky17 · 14/09/2016 10:03

My only symptom so far is gagging and almost being sick without feeling nauseous. It felt as weird as it sounds.

lullaby23 · 14/09/2016 10:26

Cautiously poking my head round the door, got a BFP this morning but not even 4 weeks on dates yet EDD 26.05.17.

teainbed · 14/09/2016 10:58

Morning all. Had viability scan this morning!Showed me at 6+5 which is what I thought it was and a little heartbeat flickering away which was lovely to see.

MissMooMoo · 14/09/2016 11:03

That is great news tea Smile

Adventuregame · 14/09/2016 11:08

tea that's great !!!!

AnneLovesGilbert · 14/09/2016 11:37

Hello and big congrats to notyet, beach and lullaby! It's so exciting Smile

That's brilliant news tea, must have felt amazing seeing it there.

AnneLovesGilbert · 14/09/2016 11:42

At how many weeks did you/are you planning to call the doctor/midwife to let them know and get the admin ball rolling?

teainbed · 14/09/2016 11:58

Thank you! Such a tiny blob on the screen but she was confidently pointing all the bits out. I've never had one that early before.

Adventuregame · 14/09/2016 11:58

I've already told the GP and been referred to hospital for booking in at about 8 weeks. It doesn't hurt to get it all in the system.

teainbed · 14/09/2016 12:00

Anne no need to delay really. Here the appointments can get booked up quickly so you may as well call them though it seems to be different in every region.

TheOracleAtSelfie · 14/09/2016 12:37

Hi lullaby!

TheOracleAtSelfie · 14/09/2016 12:38

tea that's fabulous news! Cake to celebrate I hope.

Northernexile · 14/09/2016 14:11

That's great news tea, lovely to get the reassurance!

Hello and congrats to everyone new as well!

Anne I called the GP when I found out and had my appointment last week at nearly 7 weeks. I now have the date for booking/scan appt. next month. I preferred to do it quickly as I didn't want my scan date being pushed further out if they were busy. As it is I'll be having it at 11+5- I know people who weren't seen to 14 weeks (N Ireland), and that would kill me!

lullaby23 · 14/09/2016 14:37

Aww congrats on the heartbeat tea that's so lovely.

Sonnet18 · 14/09/2016 14:54

Oh lovely, tea how lovely! I can't wait for my scan! Just waiting for a date getting organised but I'm thinking I'll be about 7+ or so!

AnneLovesGilbert · 14/09/2016 14:59

Thanks northern, I called mine today and they said it's all online.

My god it's a minefield.... You have to pick a PCT, and then a hospital, and then that dictates where you have your appointments and scans. You can self-refer online from 6 weeks. So I've got over a week to think about it all.

Does anyone feel like it's so early to be thinking about getting the baby out and all of that? It gave me a mild panic. Not giving birth as such, but I'm only 4 and a half weeks!

AnneLovesGilbert · 14/09/2016 15:02

Sorry, also, it said online the booking in appointment is usually at around 10 weeks, but if they only book the scan then how can they be sure to fit you in within 2 weeks?

shimmysparkles · 14/09/2016 15:41

Congrats and hello to new people. Tea- lovely news. It's so reassuring to see them on a scan. Still relatively symptom free here which keeps making me wonder if I imagined it. Had some cramping and weird vibrating sensation last night near right ovary. It was so weird I had

shimmysparkles · 14/09/2016 15:43

*ahhhh posted too soon! Stupid phone

Had to google it. Think it's just my insides stretching but v odd sensation.

teainbed · 14/09/2016 15:48

Thank you all Flowers

Anne once I'd booked all the appointments came in the post including booking appointment and 12 week scan.

MissMooMoo · 14/09/2016 16:13

I went ahead and rang my surgery this afternoon and got an appointment with my GP for the 28 sept, I will be 6+4 so loads of time to be able to get a booking in appointment and scan.

AnneLovesGilbert · 14/09/2016 16:26

I've had something I'd describe that way shimmysparkles, almost like ovulation pain? I had no idea that cramping and weird lower down feelings were so common. But seems nothing to worry about.

Thanks tea, I'll submit the form in 10 days or so, all being well, and then hope the rest falls into place. It seems you have any contact with a doctor in my area, as someone upthread said. My only concern is my deficiency that I get injections for and whether I'll need them more often, and if so will the midwife recommend it or should I discuss with my normal doctor.

Good news Miss, exciting! How are you feeling?

beachsands · 14/09/2016 16:53

Hi. Congrats to all. Looks like I'll be due last 3rd week in May, all going well. So it could also be a June baby if I go over. This is #3. Just have a few waves of nausea and strong sense of smell a d lotsa cramps! GP booked for next week as I've an autoimmune disease so need to see if meds needs adjusting.
