May 2017 - anybody out there?

Hi

I just found out at the weekend that I'm pregnant, this will be no. 2. Had no idea how far gone I was as I had just had AF 7th Aug but after a very early scan this morning it looks like I've conceived since then...very surprised as HPT is seriously strong and I got 5 +ve OPK's last week which by the scan I would have only just conceived at that point.

Very much a waiting game at the moment and back in 2 weeks for another scan. If I am indeed only 3 weeks then I have pretty much the same due date as I had for my DD Grin only 1 year apart. Let the crazy times commence!

Anyone else this early in pregnancy and due in May 2017?

Oracle DD is 2, and definitely in the terrible zone at times.

I'm feeling lethargic and bloated today, the house is a tip but I just can't get motivated to sort anything.

Marzipanmodelling · 10/09/2016 23:13

Hi, joining you ladies. 5 weeks with #3. Not many symptoms making me a bit anxious but trying to make the most of it because I had bad morning sickness with the others from about 7 weeks onwards and it wiped me out. Will RTFT to catch up with you all. Got a spa day booked next weekend and really worried about going because I can't actually go in much and am concerned it'll be obvious but don't want to tell anyone until after the 12 week scan...I've tried to cancel it but the company aren't being v helpful.
Only started taking folic acid as soon as I found out at 4 weeks so am worried about the effect that might have. Might phone the midwife to check-anyone else in the same boat?

MissMooMoo · 11/09/2016 09:24

Welcome marzi
I am about a week behind you.

Still feeling really anxious about having another miscarriage so took a test this morning with FMU, at 4+1 it is a super dark line so my mind is at ease now,it never got this dark last time.

May 2017 - anybody out there?
Prinny94 · 11/09/2016 12:46

Hey congratulations everyone :) I'm due in the middle of may, I'm about 5 weeks going for a scan tomorrow as I had a scare on Thursday so hopefully there has been a little progression and doubled in hormones I'm excited but scared too I'm feeling very hopeful though :)

Sonnet18 · 11/09/2016 13:43

Welcome marzi. I didn't start taking my vitamins until I got bfp as well. I'm not worried. Same last time I was pregnant and baby was fine.

Marzipanmodelling · 11/09/2016 16:26

Thanks for the reassurance Sonnet 🙂

jennymac31 · 11/09/2016 17:11

Afternoon all. I found out yesterday that I'm 4 weeks pregnant with baby no 2. Although we had been ttcing for a few months, expected af to arrive on Friday so got a lovely surprise yesterday morning. Hoping this pregnancy goes as well as my first one.

Sonnet18 · 11/09/2016 18:13

Congrats jenny that's lovely news!

Northernexile · 11/09/2016 22:03

Congrats and hello to everyone new! So sorry to hear your news violet, take care x

How's everyone feeling this weekend? I'm so symptom free I don't feel particularly pregnant and I have been forgetting about it on and off this last week. It's a bit worrying I suppose, but I'm glad I'm not suffering with morning sickness. Think I'm 7+4 today.

Ghostonthedancefloor · 11/09/2016 22:57

Still relatively symptom free here too northern and definately no nausea. It's a long old wait till the first scan.

IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley · 11/09/2016 23:52

Hi everyone,

Sorry to read post from the ladies who have lost. Hope you are all doing ok.

I would like to add myself to the group of that's ok?

I am 4 and a half weeks pregnant with my 2nd. BFP Friday (and say, and sun just to make sure!!) My DD is only 11 moths old- this pregnancy is a bit of a surprise!
not sure how we will cope with the age gap, will be interesting...

My DD also has a genetic syndrome that means she has had some complex skull surgery and will need more not long after the new one is due.

Feeling excited/ extremely anxious about it all.

Congratulations to you all too.

Sonnet18 · 12/09/2016 06:07

I'm fairly symptomless too. I am really tired (but have a teething baby!) and boobs are a bit sore. I'm only 5 and a bit weeks so I'm expecting to be hit with nausea and vomiting around 6 weeks (that's what happened to me last time)

jennymac31 · 12/09/2016 08:31

I've been experiencing occasional cramping since af was originally due 3 days ago and am feeling quite tired but that could be because I had quite a busy weekend. Boobs are starting to feel a bit heavy but I'm expecting the symptoms to crank up a bit after I pass the 6-7 week stage. I'll be on holiday then so hopefully I can relax and just sleep it off a bit.

teainbed · 12/09/2016 08:45

Morning all and welcome to everyone who has recently joined.

I have terrible nausea but no vomiting yet. And can't really have biscuits or boiled sweets or anything due to diabetes so it's proving a challenge. Sugar free polo mints are good. As is warm water bizarrely.

Hope everyone is well.

Gurtie28 · 12/09/2016 10:37

Good morning all, I have been following this thread for a while and finally decided to join in!
I am about 5 1/2 weeks, due 11th May and totally new to all this :)
So far had cramping, sore boob's and extreme bloating!!! But the strangest symptom of all (and I wonder if anyone else has experience of this) I have been having very bizarre and vivid dreams the past 3 nights....

Pleased to have found somewhere I can share with ladies in the same position :)

Sipperskipper · 12/09/2016 10:47

Hi Gurtie, me too with the dreams! Had a brutally vivid dream last night that I was being held hostage by a group of drug barons!!

Gurtie28 · 12/09/2016 11:24

Glad I'm not the only one! Although I must say mine have been far less scary!!!
Also seem to be sleeping a lot less, keep waking up very early and being bright as a button Confused

MissMooMoo · 12/09/2016 11:34

Well I was falling asleep at the pub last night just before 8!
DH and I met with our friends to see their new baby, I am sure they now suspect I am pg.
Getting very excited to think we will have our own baby come May :)

trinityrabbit · 12/09/2016 11:54

Hey everyone, had my bfp yesterday on day af due. Usually have spotting a good few days before period and had none so suspected I was pregnant! Due date is 20th May.

Feeling a bit anxious as had an mmc at 10 wks with twins in Feb. Not many symptoms at the moment, except tiredness and a bit nauseous here and there but could be imagining it! Gonna be a long wait to get to that scan!

shimmysparkles · 12/09/2016 15:43

Hi everyone, first time posting. Just found out pg 2 days ago with our second. Still bit shocked. Were trying but not seriously so not been taking folic acid, had alcohol and on antibiotics for chest infection. Poor bubbaConfused

22WR · 12/09/2016 15:55

Hi everyone,

I'm much the same as shimmy sparkles. Found out we're 4 weeks on Thursday gone, with a due date of May 18tg. We were trying but not actively and this was only our 2nd cycle since having the implant removed late June. It's my second child, have a daughter of 10 already so I'm sure things have changed since then! Not many symptoms yet other than a missed period and much bigger boobs!

Sonnet18 · 12/09/2016 17:04

Welcome to new people! If it's any consolation, I drank quite a bit last month as it was my 30th birthday and our first month ttc (plus I have had weird cycles since having my first) so I didn't expect it to happen at all...apparently you don't share things with the baby until after the placenta/cord (I don't know what I'm talking about really!) forms so we should be ok.

Had my first midwife appointment today. It was completely unremarkable but she was nice and very friendly.

CinnamonTwist · 12/09/2016 17:25

Welcome to all the newbies, getting busy now! Sorry to those who have had problems or miscarried, I know it's really crap and I hope you all have lots of RL support.
I think, although I can't be sure as dates are a little sketchy this time round, that I am now at the point that I started bleeding last time, and if I get past this weekend I will officially be further than last time! Last time my 'symptoms' had already disappeared by this point, but this time they are very much still here, so I am beginning to feel more positive! Also my booking in appointment is a week on Friday woo Grin

FoxMulder · 12/09/2016 19:30

Hello! I'm cautiously joining. It was a BIG surprise, so feels really weird to be here. All being well, this will be DC2. I reckon I'm about 5wks with an EDD of May 14th.

TheOracleAtSelfie · 12/09/2016 19:57

Hello to all the new faces!

I am ridiculously hungry already and have been eating like a pig, must control myself. I feel like the sweet tooth I had last time has come back with vengeance. Have announced to DH we are going on a diet starting tomorrow. This announcement was made post-Oreo ice cream. Oh my god it was amazing.

Spent most of the day doing DD's new room and building her new bed, knackered. Symptom wise lots of twinges in the uterine region but nausea hasn't properly kicked in yet. Did another IC yesterday and the test line is definitely darker than the control line.
