May 2017 - anybody out there?

Hi

I just found out at the weekend that I'm pregnant, this will be no. 2. Had no idea how far gone I was as I had just had AF 7th Aug but after a very early scan this morning it looks like I've conceived since then...very surprised as HPT is seriously strong and I got 5 +ve OPK's last week which by the scan I would have only just conceived at that point.

Very much a waiting game at the moment and back in 2 weeks for another scan. If I am indeed only 3 weeks then I have pretty much the same due date as I had for my DD Grin only 1 year apart. Let the crazy times commence!

Anyone else this early in pregnancy and due in May 2017?

grainmum · 04/09/2016 00:00

Sorry to hear your sad news Shippers and needszzz, look after yourselves xx

Think I've got through 24hrs of parents visit without suspicion, courtesy of a glass of T without G! Tiredness kicking in, succumbed to an afternoon nap this afternoon.

talulahbelle · 04/09/2016 06:42

Hi
I've tested stupidly early, 11dpo after fertility treatment, and got a lovely strong line this morning.
Now to get through the days and weeks until the first scan - I'm hoping to book something in around 7 weeks.
This is #2 for me, a sibling for my DD (2)

How's everyone feeling symptom wise? I'm getting a few cramps and also waves of sickness. Bloated/gassy too, although that could be the progesterone pessaries I'm using.

May 2017 - anybody out there?
teainbed · 04/09/2016 07:50

What a sad day yesterday! Take care both of you.

tallulah congrats and welcome! Plenty of symptoms on this thread! Have a scroll down and read but lots of bloating, cramping and nausea amongst us.

Northernexile · 04/09/2016 07:55

Hi talulah! Congratulations and welcome! That is indeed a lovely line- what do you think your EDD will be? Symptom wise I've very little. Bit of bloat, slightest bit of nausea if I'm hungry and occasional tingly boobs. Was the same last time- if I hadn't done the tests I wouldn't really know I was pg at the minute!
Glad you passed the parent test grain! My mum lives in England whereas I'm in NI- if she was close by I think she'd have twigged already.

TheMildManneredMilitant · 04/09/2016 08:19

So sorry that it didn't work out this month shipperssss and needzzzz. Big hugs and look after yourselves xx

TheOracleAtSelfie · 04/09/2016 09:34

So sorry shippersss, take care.

Symptom wise I'm still feeling a bit queasy and quite tired - though tiredness is nothing new as DD still wakes me up around 457324 times a night. Quite bloated in the evenings too.

Ghostonthedancefloor · 04/09/2016 10:05

Hi talulah and massive congrats on your treatment being successful!

Everyone ok? Very sad day yesterday.

Symptom wise still not a lot with me, although I did just get my 3+ on my last digi. So I'm just going to have to believe the 8 or so tests that there's something in there until I have a scan!

Anyone booked a private one yet, or thinking of?

talulahbelle · 04/09/2016 10:05

Northern my due date is 17th May at the moment. Thanks for asking.

Lovelyholiday · 04/09/2016 10:17

Congrats tallula on your successful treatment, I had Ivf last month, with success, its a great feeling isnt it!

Shippersss Im conscious you originally started this thread, would you feel better if we began a completely fresh one?
It cant be very nice continually getting updates from others?

Newlywed56 · 04/09/2016 10:28

Shippers am gutted to hear this, so sorry this has happened. Really glad to hear you will be trying again. Take v good care of yourself.

Took my DS into A&E with vomiting x 6 on Friday after he had a head injury at swimming pool. they admitted him onto the children's ward & then I collapsed & vomitted x 5 myself, ended up in a cubicle in A&E all night too. ShockWonderful IV drip did the business. Sadly back again now as poor DS still vomiting. Maybe norovirus?

TheOracleAtSelfie · 04/09/2016 13:40

dustpan oh god poor you, that sounds hideous. I would ordinarily say you need a large gin...

I may have just unbuttoned / unzipped my skinny jeans on a busy London bus BlushMust remember to do them up before getting odd!

Jingles80 · 04/09/2016 15:13

Hello ladies, am so sorry to hear about your loss shipperssss but can I say a big thank you for starting this thread and bringing us all together.

We've been TTC for 18 months and finally got a bfp on Friday on the day we booked an appt with the dr to work through options. Due date is 8 May and I'm so aware it's early days and it feels very surreal to be wanting something and now it's here I'm sort of scared... I am so so tired and have been finding it hard to string a sentence together at times - Work is going to be interesting this week!

So it's really comforting to be able to talk to others on here who have been through this before or like me are first timers to share advice and just general ramblings of what's going on!

Sipperskipper · 04/09/2016 15:55

Congratulations jingles first time for me too. Very nervous about the coming weeks in particular, and then scans etc. Such early days, but very exciting!

I had blood forms sent through for routine screening from mw- in my area we can self refer online. She said she will be in contact when i'm around 9-10 weeks or so.

Hope everyone is feeling & doing ok xx

loz12345 · 04/09/2016 17:30

Hi I am due at the end of April but thought I would join here if that's ok as u are all nearer to me in dates than April thread FlowersChocolateGrin

Dustpan · 04/09/2016 19:43

Jingles and Liz welcome!

Oracle Haha yes gin in other circumstances Wink Unbuttoned jeans = classy! Grin I've no doubt I will be breaking out my old yoga-waist trousers soon if all continues to go well . The good thing about this being second preg is that I have a much better idea of what it's actually worth investing in for mat clothes, & what not to bother with. Eg channel all avail funds into a great pair of mat jeans and the rest pretty much hangs round that! Oh and one of those stretch wrappy tips from Jojo madman

Dustpan · 04/09/2016 19:44

Sorry loz not Liz!

And wrappy top from Jojo maman not madman!! Love the spellcheck

Rabbitykins55 · 04/09/2016 19:55

I do not like this change in taste buds thing that seems to have happened! Nor the heightened sense of smell. I can smell the bin at ten paces now and gag. I work in waste management so that's going to be interesting!
