Naranciata - I love baked Camembert but thought that was one off the things off the menu now! Or is apparently ok if cooked?

SharkBastard · 28/08/2016 18:10

Baked camambert is fine, apparently! It's the uncooked lot that are to be avoided!

I drove 2 and half hours to holiday and I'm absolutely done in! Had to come back to the hotel because I could barely stay awake eating my fish and chips.

My boobs are so sore, I get waves of nausea and I'm absolutely exhausted! Only just 6 weeks today so just wanting to get through this week as that'll be further than the last 2 times!

MrsRhubarb · 28/08/2016 18:35

8 weeks today and Ovia says Squish is the size of a cerise confite! Loving the Parisian Bakery theme

MrsRhubarb · 28/08/2016 18:37

Also, baked camembert - yummmmmmm

LuchiMangsho · 28/08/2016 18:47

Absolutely dreading this week. Think I mentioned that DH works on the Continent (year old job- fabulous opportunity/massive promotion etc) but we had decided to TTC despite that given all that has happened. Of course I then went and got pregnant in month 1.

Now that I am feeling so unwell I am really dreading the bits when he is not around. He's back almost every weekend. It is likely he won't make it to most of the scans (which I am fine with actually). But we also need to make relocation plans. His current bosses are super thrilled with him and want him to stay on for longer. Clearly that doesn't work with a pregnant wife so lots of difficult manoeuvring ahead. Poor DH got a taste this weekend of how sick I can get with no warning. He's been alarmed and concerned to the point of saying he's happy to quit the job and return. I have told him to be sensible and let's take it one day at a time!

There ends my mini essay. 8 week scan booked for next weekend. Might tell the parents and in laws before that.

IAmALionTamer · 28/08/2016 19:37

5 weeks 4 days here and feeling a bit rotten. Morning sickness has kicked in and the initial excitement of having some tangible symptoms has well and truly left the building after bringing my lunch back up Confused
DH and I have each told our best friends as we reason that they are the people we would need support from should anything go wrong with this pregnancy. We are going to wait until after our 12 week scan to inform our parents. Am nervous about telling PILs....MIL in particular. She has been very vocal on her disgust at small age gaps (ie anything under 5 years) and will no doubt voice her opinion once she hears the news. I think I'll get DH to tell her whilst I'm at home relaxing with DS

MumiTravels · 28/08/2016 19:50

@Luchi - Aww bless him. Your DH sounds lovely and very supportive. Hope you're happy with the potential relocation.

@Lion - She sounds a right treat. I'd definitely leave your husband to see to that.

I had a brief lull this afternoon but then had a second wind and washed all my floors, window sills, skirting and doors and did two loads of washing.

Trying to plan our November trip now whilst trying to imagine what I'll be like 12 - 14 weeks pregnant and whether we need to slow down our usual pace of sightseeing in the tropics. Then the 20 odd hour flight back from Auz with bump and toddler Hmm.

hummingbird100 · 28/08/2016 20:00

I see your camambert and a raise you a lovely Indian takeaway with all the trimmings! Grin (I love camembert though I might go get one tomorrow)

I am so hungry all the time!

jpeg28 · 28/08/2016 20:05

I'm really jealous of this food! I'm just not hungry and cannot be bothered to eat dinner! I did have pasta at lunch and considering I've sat on the sofa almost all day I don't think I need food!!

MumiTravels · 28/08/2016 20:35

I see your Camembert and indian takeaway and raise you leftover lasagne.

not got the same ring to it has it

IAmALionTamer · 28/08/2016 21:10

Mumi I wish I had your energy, I can't get motivated to do any housework.
Also jealous of all of the great food - although DH has just made up a portion of banging popcorn

MumiTravels · 28/08/2016 21:17

I just don't feel pregnant which obviously isn't great for me at the moment but there we go. The house is gleaming.

Banging Popcorn LOL Sorry. That tickled me. Are you expressing your inner teenage boy tonight lion?

Puggleface · 28/08/2016 23:40

Ok so interesting question for you ladies that are on their 2nd plus pregnancies. How has each one been different? Have you always had the same symptoms? Or has each pregnancy been completely different?
With DS I had a big implantation bleed when my period was due and then carried on bleeding till about 6 weeks and felt constantly sea sick from about 6 weeks till about 12 weeks. So far this time Ive had no IB which I've found weird because that's what I'm used to. I started to feel sick from about 7 weeks this time but it's a different type of sickness, like I feel I could throw up this time. My sense of smell has gone wild now too! Even though I've done this all before, everything feels really different! What are your experiences?

IAmALionTamer · 28/08/2016 23:40

Innit mumi believe me his popcorn is well worth embarrassing yourself on the Internet for using a ridiculous phrase like "banging" Wink
Ate too much though and am now feeling queasy, hugely bloated and look about 5 months gone Shock hopefully be back to normal in the morning

Bubbinsmakesthree · 29/08/2016 03:57

puggle so far pretty similar to last time for me - sick, tired and grumpy!

DH's niece is coming to stay for 2 weeks from tomorrow, and PIL are here for a few days too. Dreading it! I really don't want to share the news at this early stage but I am not sure if I can put a brave face on it for so long, especially mornings and evenings when I feel at my worst. 😫

Celen · 29/08/2016 07:26

Good question Puggle! This is my fifth pregnancy (3 have been mcs/mmcs) but comparing it to my first (successful) pregnancy -

I'm far more tired than my first
Nausea seems to be last all day instead of just morning
I didn't have any cravings/aversions before - this time round I've gone a lot of things, can't bear cooking and have a few cravings.

My life is quite different though to having my first - I was commuting for at least 4 hours a day, walking 3-4 miles a day, etc. Now I'm just a stay-at-home mum & don't exercise enough Hmm
Anyone else?

Strubo how was your night, any more bleeding? What time is your scan? Hope you get done reassurance and offering a virtual handhold in the meantime x

puggle I was mildly nauseous in pregnancy one and tired, but otherwise ok. But uncomfortable at the end but pretty good really. Pregnancy 2 I was extremely nauseous from before I even took a test, severe backache and ligament pain so was barely mobile for the last 3 months, and my sickness carried on until 22 weeks. And horrendous reflux. Totally different pregnancies, was convinced dc2 was going to be a girl as a result but nope, ds2.

This time aro

Theknittinggorilla · 29/08/2016 07:30

Oops this time around nausea much milder so far, more like the first time. So in my experience pregnancies can be totally different, hopefully third one is going to be a breeze Grin

Strubo · 29/08/2016 07:50

Thankyou for thinking of me guys. Didn't sleep very well but no more bleeding. I text my boss last night and she told me not to come in so that's good. Scan is at 3, going to take the kids to school then come home and relax.

Bubbinsmakesthree · 29/08/2016 07:58

Glad you've got some time to yourself to rest Strubo - good news that the bleeding hasn't continued, hope the scan shows everything is healthy in there!

LotsaTuddles · 29/08/2016 08:46

Sorry. Disappeared for a bit. So busy it's DS's birthday on Saturday and he starts nursery next Monday.

Celen are you in Ashford? Can't remember if I've asked already

Celen · 29/08/2016 09:06

Kind of replying as I read. Number4, it wasn't me that said about cloth bumming. But my dd is in cloth too

LotsaTuddles · 29/08/2016 09:46

Ecofreckle I had a headache for a week last week. Paracetamol didn't touch it. I got some of those kool n sooth things which helped a bit too, plus I have in and went to gp who prescribed low dose co codamol

IrnBrufan · 29/08/2016 09:50

Bad times here this morning.
Haven't been able to eat much for the last week, this morning I've been sick and I have pained in my back and legs :( I feel so terrible. Not sure if it's baby or a bug though
