toburp, I have a pair of under bump jeans from gap that are great, and a full panel pair from next that I just fold the panel down on.

Wonderlust123 · 28/08/2016 12:30

First experience of a sober, pregnant wedding. Belly touches, lots of 'eating for two' comments, sleezy friend of the family there with his partner trying to hit on me, despite having said that I was pregnant and there with my partner. Having to justify myself for having had one glass of champagne (only alcoholic drink I've had in a while). Looking after drunk OH at the end of the night. Generally, eugh! Weddings and pregnancy don't mix I've decided!

Wonderlust123 · 28/08/2016 12:34

Also, jeans-wise, I've got two pairs of over the bump jeans from Mothercare, the first I got in store (regular length), and are okay but slightly short. The second I got online (longer length), and are great. I'm only 5 foot 5, so not sure why the legs are so short.

divadee · 28/08/2016 12:51

Have had a couple of days where I am not feeling any movement or kicks that much and starting to miss them :-(

twocatsandatoddler · 28/08/2016 13:05

Has anyone every encountered a durian before? We have friends staying and they brought one to try, as its her annual birthday treat. I wouldn't let it in the house, but my hyper-sensitive pregnancy nose could smell it though the bedroom window when we left it in the garden overnight. We just opened it I couldn't bring myself to eat any!

divadee · 28/08/2016 13:13

Don't do it twocats it's the worst fruit known to man. It is more than vomit inducing!!!! My parents used to live in Singapore and durian was everywhere. It's vile horrible stuff.

FriendlyGhost · 28/08/2016 14:12

It's filthy stuff 'twocats'. Smells worse that dd's nappies! It's supposed to taste like heaven and smell like hell (or something along those lines). I had some when I visited Singapore. I thought there was a gas leak at the market we were visiting but it was the fruit. I did try some but it really wasn't that nice 😷

SBSparkles · 28/08/2016 14:26

Hi! I was 18 weeks yesterday and I've suddenly noticed baby moving around a lot - it kept me awake last night! I was wondering as I'm getting a bit worried here - if anyone else is getting really painful tummy ache? It's hurting to bend forwards or do anything and my stomach feels all sore and wrong somehow. Even a bath didn't help, in fact it hurt in the bath. I'm curled up in a ball on cushions and that's the only thing that's sort of helping! Help! Confused

divadee · 28/08/2016 14:33

sparkles I'm the same with leaning forward 17+5 today. It really pulls and hurts and feels like everything is being squashed. Most unpleasant

SBSparkles · 28/08/2016 14:35

Are you? Sort of glad it's not just me but not glad you're in pain! It came on after eating but I woke up feeling really sick. It feels like baby is suddenly growing and my body doesn't know what's going on! I wouldn't be able to work like this so hope it goes soon as I'm back on Thurs!

divadee · 28/08/2016 14:36

Yeah it's not the nicest. Just feels all weird and like nothing can squish anymore does that make sense?

SBSparkles · 28/08/2016 14:39

Yes!!! Oh my gosh what's it going to be like in 4 months!!! ShockShock

topmammy · 28/08/2016 14:47

Ewh that fruit sounds absolutely gross! Shock

That sounds unpleasant sparkles hope the pain eases soon. Does it happen any time or after you've eaten?

Can I just say if you haven't done so already make the most of being able to lie on your front quick Grin How I longed to do that for pretty much the whole third trimester!

divadee · 28/08/2016 14:47

I'm already waddling so god knows come November!!

SBSparkles · 28/08/2016 14:57

Topmammy it has done today but only had it the past 24 hours so am bit confused! Was sore last night too. Problem is I'm SO hungry all the time I can't stop eating! This little munchkin is so naughty already! Must take after me!
Agree with the durian comments! I used to live in Vietnam and once got an early morning flight with a stinking hangover and the whole departure lounge smelt of durian!! Blergh!

twocatsandatoddler · 28/08/2016 15:05

The Dutch call it 'stinkfruit' (stinkvrucht) - I can now see why! It smelled vile, DH had some and really hated it, and he likes everything. Glad I'm not suffering from morning sickness or I don't think I'd have been able to go near it!

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 28/08/2016 15:30

Haven't been on for a little while!
Nowt much to report. Went to my consultant appointment last week as midwife referred me as high risk in my booking apt. Consultant looked pretty puzzled as to why I was there and discharged me!

I also mentioned about my awful days throwing up where I can have my head down the loo anything between 10-20 times in the day. I was finally prescribed some anti sickness tablets and typically, me nausea and vomiting has now pretty much vanished! Smile

I'm now 16+3 and have a definite bump now. I've had loads of comments over the last few days. Now, I'm really struggling for clothes. We're due to go on holiday next weekend and nothing fits!!!

Jealous of those feeling baby's moving. I have an anterior placenta, so it'll probably be a little while for me yet!

GinandJazzHands · 28/08/2016 16:31

ah wanderlust that sounds like a bit of a pants wedding experience! I've got one coming up in two weeks, mainly family so hoping it won't be too bad. I'm in the same boat as some of you - 15 weeks tomorrow and the maternity jeans I have bought are a bit loose whilst my other things are too tight. I've settled for some jeggings and regular leggings so need to sort some maternity ones I think. Not very good with ordering online - I tend to come up different sizes in different stores so might try to find some in store options.

MarjorySunshineDust · 28/08/2016 16:59

Has anyone else found pregnacare still makes them feel nauseous? I took one this morning (after a big breakfast) as felt like I should take something other than vitD/folic acid but felt really ill all day and have just thrown up.

PianoOnlyTheWhiteKeys · 28/08/2016 18:44

Im not sure I'm going to think about birth plan for ages, MW said we won't discuss it til at least 25 wks anyway.

I'm 17+5 today, weighed myself yesterday and am 8lbs lighter than I was when i got pregnant! A bit worried but have only been able to eat properly this week so fingers crossed I catch up. I'm kind of jealous about everyone's bumps!! Anyone else lost weight? I bought a dress for our wedding party in 2 weeks but can fit into original wedding dress better than when we got married in March... Hmmm...

Agree sbsparkles about bending over too though, I can feel hard bump like I have a hard lump down my jeans pressing everything, I suppose that's what is there but hope your tummy ache has gone off now?

Just ordered jeans and trousers from Next, anyone have any experience of those?

LondonGirl83 · 28/08/2016 19:03

Piano I'm down 12 pounds and haven't put any weight on yet, just keep losing though this week has been pretty stable.

I am just over 15 weeks today. I have a small bump. If you know me and I'm wearing something snug you can see it but otherwise I don't look pregnant. Its really become more noticeable this past week though.

I'm not too worried. I know people who've lost more than that and no concerns were raised. I just keep taking my prenatal vitamins to make sure the baby is getting enough nutrients and try to stay hydrated.

Sorry for wonder for the nightmare wedding. I've been to just one when I first found out I was pregnant. I just left early into the party as I was shattered. I'm hoping that sleepy friend of the family was off his face drunk!

LondonGirl83 · 28/08/2016 19:04

*sleazy not sleepy :)

SBSparkles · 28/08/2016 19:32

Piano yes it's gone thanks! I did some yoga, had a windeze, went for a walk and took paracetamol and now it's fine! Not to go into too much detail but I think I had a lot of trapped wind judging by the last couple of hours! Good job I'm home alone!
Marjorie I think the supplements might be causing my early morning nausea! I've finally finished my high dose folic acid yesterday so I'll see if that makes any difference!

SBSparkles · 28/08/2016 19:35

If argues to I bet you'll feel something in the next week or so! I really really concentrated to stay with and lay on my bed quietly trying to feel something. It's more noticeable now and although it reassuring it makes me feel really weird and a bit sick! Hmm

SBSparkles · 28/08/2016 19:36

That should have been ifatfirstyou darn autocorrect!!!
