or even sigh

LRDtheFeministDragon · 12/08/2016 13:32

I hope very much it's a good sign. FWIW, I never felt very sick with any of mine that ended in miscarriages, and looking back I think that was probably a sign that things weren't quite right.

cyclinggirl22 · 12/08/2016 13:43

Ohh no don't say that lrd I haven't had any morning sickness whatsoever with mine, I'm 10+4 and it's really worried me but my mum tries to reassure me that she didn't have any at all either

LRDtheFeministDragon · 12/08/2016 13:44

Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to worry you. It wasn't the only thing that, in retrospect, obviously wasn't right.

Put it this way: I don't think absence of sickness means anything bad. But I do think, if you are feeling sick, one of the obvious reasons for it is your body dealing with the pregnancy, so in that sense it is reassuring.

Sorry, I phrased that really badly first time around.

Cantstringawordtogether · 12/08/2016 13:50

Boots, that must be a positive thing, sorry you're going through such a worrying time.

Carolann8584 · 12/08/2016 14:00

Can't believe it 9 weeks today!! and counting down to MW app on Wednesday Smile

OH birthday tomorrow, bought present but no card yet, I've sooooo distracted feel bad

x

greentreeseverywhere · 12/08/2016 14:22

I'm 9 weeks today to and the size of a green olive apparently!

Gardencentregroupie · 12/08/2016 14:25

cyclinggirl I was sick as a dog with DD, and have no sickness now, but my scan a few days ago (private) showed a wriggly blob exactly the right size for my dates - try not to worry! Every pregnancy is different, even for the same woman.

ElsaMars · 12/08/2016 15:03

Worn I'm in the same situation as you, should have been 8 weeks yesterday but scan shows yolk sac and no fetal pole.

It's a horrible limbo isn't it? I've been like this since my first scan two weeks ago. Do you have another scan booked? Flowers

WelliesAndCake · 12/08/2016 15:39

Cyclinggirl I'm 10+4 too Smile and haven't really felt sick at all throughout. I just feel like a tired version of myself (with sore boobs). If I didn't know I was pregnant, I would think I had a bit of a bug. My sister said she had hardly any symptoms and she's had 3 healthy pregnancies so I'm hoping it runs in the family! My first scan's on the 23rd so just keeping my fingers crossed for that x

WelliesAndCake · 12/08/2016 15:41

Carolann8584 · 12/08/2016 16:06

I haven't seen the MW yet so haven't got my scan date, I will be 9w+6 when I see the midwife

I posted on here a while ago as was stressing about not having any sickness, well at 8 weeks the sickness hit me like a ton of bricks, morning noon and night without letup but I'm determined to keep positive and really enjoy this pregnancy.
Other two children (DD and DS are 4 and 2.9) so are currently keeping me very much on my toes.
I had my midwife appointment on Wednesday at 10 weeks 3 days and I've got my scan on 22nd August.
I was contemplating an early scan last week just for peace of mind (I've never had one before) but decided to get my hair highlighted instead ha ha

I must say I'm so surprised at all the different ways of operating from place to place re the midwives and scans etc.
Where I am you go and tell your doctor that your pregnant and they pass on your details to the midwife who gives you a call to booking in appointment. You phone the hospital yourself with a special password that's on a printed letter from the doctor and book your own first scan.
Also, it appears from what I've read that consultant led care and who qualifies must differ from hospital to hospital. They've told me I've got to be under the consultant because of a previous 3rd degree tear but someone on here said they had a previous 3rd degree and weren't under a consultant.
I got offered a caesarean last time because of a previous 3rd degree but others have said they don't get that option at their hospital. Can't work it all out at all.

Hi folks. Been away for a little while so thought I'd say hello again.
Age: almost 32

From: Basingstoke

I'm half way through my holiday and there are a lot of activities revolving around drinking. I don't particularly feel like drinking but you do get a bit bored going for/getting through dedicated nights out on the town. I've had more juice than I have in the past half a year in a week. How are people dealing with social situations that involve drinking-staying away or joining for 383763 juice drinks?

Welcome monkey

purplesmiler · 12/08/2016 17:41

I'm glad the weekend is almost upon us. It's been a really busy week starting new job it's been full on. I'm already in my pj's and am spending the evening on the sofa watching the Olympics with some chocolate treats.

boots & elsa thinking of you both xx

Gardencentregroupie · 12/08/2016 17:51

tutu I had a 4th degree tear last time and was told (promised!) I'd be offered a c section this time. Do you think you'll take it?

I have my booking in appointment at 7. Yes, 7pm on a Friday night. I want to sit in my PJs eating chilli peanuts and watching the Olympics ffs!

Newbie7077 · 12/08/2016 17:54

Purple PJs, chocs and the Olympics sounds like a winning combo. Jealous !

ItsMagicYouKnow · 12/08/2016 17:55

Hi everyone!

Welcome Mouse, and welcome back to those who have been away for a while!

Flowers boots and Elsa, and anyone else going through a tough time.

I think LRD mentioned milk ducts? Well mine are enormous atm!

Another one with weight issues, well, lack of weight in my case. I'm down to a BMI of 18, and I'm starting to lose weight again. My cheeks have started sinking in, and with the black circle under my eyes I look rather dreadful. The people who know I'm pregnant have told me I look rough Hmm Hoping to get to the "good bit" of pregnancy soon so I can enjoy my food again and start to bulk out a bit, I'm 5 kg lighter than when I fell pregnant with DS. No eating disorders or anything (apart from current nausea), but I think stress and breastfeeding are to blame!

Oh well, it's all for a good cause! Smile
