Living up to her name, SuperDuperJezebel has superly-duperly offered to help out with the FB page while I'm away, so if you want an invite over the next couple of weeks, please send PMs her way! I'll still be online occasionally but only on my phone so getting PMs and adding folk to the FB group would be a nightmare.

ahsan · 23/08/2016 10:50

Hi everyone, how's everyone getting on. Haven't been on for a while as been very sickSmile hope you are all getting on well with your pregnancies Grin

Carolann8584 · 23/08/2016 11:11

HI ahsan

OH can only get half day off for scan day, he's disappointed but his company has a "no ore than 2 off at a time policy" so he had to tell his manager why he needed it off so she gave him half day, scan at 2 he will finsh work at 1. Now I just need to get to day off, tricky as my manager is off until the 5th and scan on the 6th, she's gonna luuuurve me Smile

Nausea is so much better today, I still retch when I cough of clear throat but nothing else

Anyone at their scan today? Good luck if you are xx

alphabook · 23/08/2016 11:13

Can't remember who it was who ordered a Baby On Board badge and it didn't arrive? Mine came today and I only ordered it last week so I would definitely try ordering one again!

WhereDoAllThePokemonGo · 23/08/2016 11:34

Morning all, my scan isn't til 7th so if all is well then I'll request to join the Facebook page Smile

My normally greasy hair is pretty fantastic at the moment, but i have dry patches over my face (including my lips)... feels strange and is very noticeable! Wonder if that's a pregnancy thing?!

Dozygirl · 23/08/2016 13:04

That's good news carolann. I was offered a scan on 6th September when I couldn't make my original date but that would have been too late for nuchal scan so I've kept my original date and just got someone to help with child care.

Carolann8584 · 23/08/2016 13:23

Really shouldn't have gone for a walk today, did about 2 miles on lunch, but it's about 25-27 degrees outside so got really hot when I came back in the office, didn't take long to cool down but now I feel drained, had a pint of water before walk and one after. Trying to eat a sandwich thin but struggling to pick it up, wonder if anyone would notice if I shut the office door and turned the light off for a nap Smile

Freckles007 · 23/08/2016 13:35

Carolann8584 wow 2 miles!! I can barely walk to the end of the garden in this heat Smile

So relieved, just got my Harmony NIPT results back after a nail-biting 10 day wait (I didn't sleep last night!)...results all good, I'm very low risk..phew...called my Mum straight away to tell her I'm pregnant!

I have my 12 week scan tomorrow so I'm just wondering if I should still get the NHS combined test? I'm sure I read somewhere that it's worthwhile getting the Nuchal measurement anyway because it can pick up on other abnormalities?

WelliesAndCake · 23/08/2016 13:43

Hi all, just to let you know I had my 12 week scan today, and there was an actual baby there wriggling around! I was sooo relieved - especially after having very few symptoms so far. I feel like I can finally relax a little and start to believe it's really happening. Good luck to everyone waiting for scans - the waiting is awful - but fingers crossed for lots of good news over the next few weeks. Just off to tell my parents!!

Freckles007 · 23/08/2016 13:45

WelliesAndCake lovely news Smile

HmrTron · 23/08/2016 13:45

RE baby on board badge, I just asked for one at my Tube station and they gave me one. Didn't have to order/wait. When are you planning on using it!?! I cannot face the northern line for much longer but feel bad using it without a visible bump!

MissClarke86 · 23/08/2016 13:47

Just want to share my excitement that I have got a scan date!! The letter didn't come today either so I rang the hospital and after numerous grumpy receptionists and wrong departments (How hard is it? Pregnancy is fairly common!) I have got a date of this coming Tuesday. Phew.

I'm also pleased because it's before I go back to work (the next day!) so don't need to faff around getting time off.

NameChange30 · 23/08/2016 13:53

Wellies Yay, congratulations on your scan going well! Smile Enjoy telling your parents!

Freckles Congrats on your Harmony results - hope you sleep better tonight!

MrsMushrooms Are you going on holiday? If so have a lovely time!

Carolann8584 · 23/08/2016 13:56

Great news wellies

Miss I know how you feel, I am soooo impatient, only saw the MW last week lol but wanted to know my scan date, now I have it I have a 2 week wait but still excited Smile

Freckles I use to do 3 miles 3-4 times a week on my lunches but since I found out I'm expecting I've cut it down to 2 miles 3 times a week but today was just too hot, we don't get that very often here in Manchester so not really prepared for it. worried about over heating.

Carolann8584 · 23/08/2016 14:01

I've been told I am being seen at Tameside hospital, anybody know what it's like? I've tried googling but found a chat from about 8 years ago and I know they have made some improvements since then just wanted to know if I should switch hospitals before its too late. Not a fan of hospitals, last time I was in was 5 years ago having a disc removed was supposed to be in for 1 night stayed for 4.

SuperDuperJezebel · 23/08/2016 14:01

Hooray for all the people who have got good news today!

My hair is looking good but skin, not so much. And I have had 2 giant spots on my back which is not usual for me! Also got stung by a wasp in the park today and I had to google to make sure I could use the anti sting stuff... Some of them you can't!

I wore my baby on board badge on Sunday after a horrific pukey journey in Sat where I had to stand the whole way... and guess what happened? I got taken to the front of a queue at primark in Tottenham Court Rd to pay, I couldn't work out why until I left! I felt so guilty!

Dustycorners · 23/08/2016 14:31

Congrats wellies and freckles!

Hmr I say wear the badge whenever you feel you need it. It's actually more useful when you don't have a bump as it's the only way others can tell you might need a seat (unless you ask). I felt like a right knob when I wore mine for the first time in my last pregnancy, but I quickly got over that once I felt so relieved not to be trying not to faint whilst stuck in someone's armpit. Rush hour tube travel is awful if you need to sit but can't get a seat.

Butterpuff · 23/08/2016 15:03

missclark we are scan buddies. This time next week I'll have seen bump, will you or are you later?

charlybs · 23/08/2016 15:23

Carolann my scan is the 6th too! Think I'll be about 13 weeks.

Unfortunately my DH can't get time off. He's in the forces so it's just not a thing lol. Might take my MIL.

Alpha it was me asking about the baby on board badge. Only thing I can think is that it's because I don't live in London, but the website said it could be sent to the south too. Might try sending it to my friend's house in Camden instead.

HmrTron just saw your post - will ask next time I go into Waterloo.

Congrats to everyone who's had scans and positive test results. So excited for my scan :)

Carolann8584 · 23/08/2016 15:32

Charlybs I'll be 12+5 was worried it was going to be too late but it falls into the dates the MW gave me so yay count down for scan now Smile

My OH would be gutted to miss it, as mentioned before his ex who he has 2 boys with wanted her mum there instead so this will be his first 12 week scan.

Both very excited Grin

NameChange30 · 23/08/2016 17:20

Carol I can't imagine telling my DH I would rather have my DM at the scan instead of him!! Confused I suppose that could be part of the bigger picture as to why she's an ex. Anyway hope he can go with you, how lovely that it will be a new experience for you both Smile

Having said that, I would quite like to invite my DM to a scan as I think she'd be over the moon... Not sure if you're allowed to have two people in there with you, though?! As DH wouldn't want to miss it.

Carolann8584 · 23/08/2016 18:00

name my DM would love to come first GC, I found my appointment letter when I got home, Grinit says to limit the amount of people coming as they are in the middle of a refurbishment. Scan pics are £4 each! Wow. Worth it though Smile

NameChange30 · 23/08/2016 18:03

They're £6 each at my hospital!

HmrTron · 23/08/2016 19:32

super dusty I think I might bite the bullet and do it tomorrow! I really will feel a knob though! But it will be much needed.

Lots of nice news today. Congrats to all with letters, scans and results!

Mines on Friday. Can't wait now!!

bumblebeekaty · 23/08/2016 20:17

I tried to go maternity clothes shopping at lunchtime today to get a few bits to get me through the awkward 'no bump yet' stage and failed miserably, got back to work and did a massive Topshop Maternity order. Fingers crossed it won't all be going back!

Will work out what I'm going to wear to two September weddings next week...

Can't wait to look pregnant (and glowing) hope that happens soon!
