Super it was at UCLH but might be the same at Tommys as they're both major hospitals. Good luck at your scan - I was so worried I felt sick. Only two days to wait for you now.

Dustycorners · 20/08/2016 09:10

Welcome ClaritySmile

Happy I had AWFUL constipation all the way through my pregnancy with DS, but very much the opposite so far this time Confused I mean, they're both grim, but I marginally prefer being, um, "loose" , as I had some really stressful experiences last time!

If anyone is really suffering with constipation, do see your GP as they can prescribe some safe and effective stuff to sort it. I made my way through gallons of lactulose and laxido!

Happygojo86 · 20/08/2016 10:10

From a comfort perspective this is waaaay better. It just worries me in case it's an indication of something amiss. I had chronic constipation for years before I was preg with DD and it was so grim! I was on movicol everyday Confused

I'm glad I'm not alone though.

Dozygirl · 20/08/2016 11:04

I suffered with constipation post baby. I got given movicol but when I needed more the gp was really rude and said just drink more water. Yeah because that's the reason for it! And how did he know i didn't already drink gallons of water. Stupid gps. Thankfully it cleared eventually.

purplesmiler · 20/08/2016 11:21

I have constipation it can be so painful I cried on the loo the other day. I'm going to mention it at my booking in appointment next week.

Carolann8584 · 20/08/2016 11:39

Completely exhausted today, went food shopping as usual this morning, I go early to miss the busy Saturday shoppers, got half way round and hit a wall, came home had a nap xx

Happygojo86 · 20/08/2016 11:47

Dozy, I ended up in tears in a consultants office when he tried to tell me it's just the way my body was and to eat more fibre. I ended up ranting at him that I was a fricking scientist and that coming to see him to discuss my bowel movements was a last resort and not my idea of fun. Being told to 'eat more fibre and drink more' at that stage was just insulting! Turned out it was due to endometriosis! and it caused a whole host of issues that pregnancy and breastfeeding seem to help

Dozygirl · 20/08/2016 14:12

Mine was definitely because of the changes my body went through from giving birth and breastfeeding etc but yes also felt the same as you, why would I think coming and asking for strong laxatives was something I really wanted to do and for what reason? It was embarrassing and then made to feel like an idiot.

In other news my scan date came through this morning yey. It's Thursday in the morning. I have my daughters swimming lesson on a Thursday morning so not sure how I'll fit it all in. Seems a shame for her to miss it but I probably won't be able to do both.

NameChange30 · 20/08/2016 14:25

Dozy You could always try ringing them to ask if you can change it. That's what I did and I was pleasantly surprised by how willing they were to change it (and they have me exactly the day and time I was hoping for!)

Today I was super close to fainting in a shopping centre Hmm Managed to sit on the floor before I fell. Anyone else getting faint?

Been so grateful that the Olympics are on the TV since I've become a pregnancy hermit. Don't know how I'll entertain myself in the evenings next week

greentreeseverywhere · 20/08/2016 15:51

I managed to change mine easily as well! The MW really worried me saying it's impossible to change as my partner would only be able to come in a Friday. But got it easy!
I had some discharge to day when I wiped and it had red/brown in it. Nothing since but shall I keep an eye on it? I'm very stressed and emotional after some news last night so hope it's not having an effect on the baby. Just trying to relax and not think about it

Dozygirl · 20/08/2016 16:31

Hopefully.it's nothing greentrees but take it easy if u can. I just like an excuse to take it easy though to be honest. I had the tiniest streak of brown the other day when I wiped and did a mini internal freak out but had nothing since. Is a stressful time this pregnancy malarkey.

Clarity77 · 20/08/2016 17:00

Is it around the time your period would normally be due? Maybe a bit of breakthrough.
I'm finding food shopping impossible I don't feel like cooking anything at all don't have the desire for any proper meals and don't like the raw meat in the supermarket. My family have had so many takeaways lately. Evenings have been my worse time. I miss really enjoying and preparing a meal. My main cravings appear to be chocolate, sweets, ice cream and all sorts of bad things. My diet so far has been really poor.

Freckles007 · 20/08/2016 17:02

rbucz I feel faint most of the time! Walking up the stairs causes heart palpitations...luckily I've only actually fainted once, outside my house, and my friend was there to catch me before I hit the tarmac! I'm enjoying an excuse to sit down a lot Smile

Freckles007 · 20/08/2016 17:03

greentreeseverywhere try not to worry...I had spotting every other day until week 9...nothing since :-)

greentreeseverywhere · 20/08/2016 17:31

Thanks guys just had a shit night hardly any sleep lots of tears and then that!! Iv relaxed all day and going to see a good friend later so will have had a much better day!

love2003 · 20/08/2016 18:15

I'm exactly the same clarity. Can't stomach full meals so I'm having lighter meals, haven't had meat for about two weeks now. Tonight's dinner is a chip butty Confused food shopping today was a struggle and had a trolley full of sweeties and ice cream!

Hope everyone with worries gets through the stress!

neonrainbow · 20/08/2016 18:17

Greentrees ive had that a lot. Sometimes its just once a day sometimes for a whole morning or whatever. I don't think you have to worry unless it's fresh blood. Even then i had that and it was all fine just an implantation bleed.

Carolann8584 · 20/08/2016 18:23

The only meal I've been able to have is pancakes, been having them for my tea, i don't want anything sweet and still can't stomach milk so no brews Confused shopping this morning was a waste, bought food for pets and OH work lunches next week that's it

charlybs · 20/08/2016 18:33

Hey all, I might be on here more than I thought through the honeymoon as my body clock is totally messed up! Just woke up here at midnight and can't sleep. Yesterday we walked. 20k (thanks for telling me Fitbit) and I had to explain to DH AGAIN why I might be dead on my feet? How many times do I need to say exhaustion is a symptom lol. Apart from that it's all good at the moment. I have also increased my appetite as I get used to the heat.

No idea why my baby on board badge hasn't come... Will chase that up when I get home.

Also found out that my 12 week scan is 6 September, when I will be approx 13+1. Fingers crossed I don't date too late! X

charlybs · 20/08/2016 18:34

Oh and bear with me re: the Facebook group. My wifi is rubbish, so finding the forum on the website rather than the app will take an age probably haha. Excited to join it soon X

SpanielLedWeaning · 20/08/2016 18:45

Another struggling to eat proper meals here. I already have a restricted diet of low gluten and low lactose (ulcerative colitis related) but now I seem to be living off marmite on gluten free toast and jacket potatoes. However if it's sweet then I have no problems.

I'd kill for a tub of Ben and Jerry's right now but it'd make me ill!

SuperDuperJezebel · 20/08/2016 20:18

I have the opposite... I can't stop bloody eating. Still can't face much milk and all my old favourites are out (even the thought of olives or feta makes my stomach churn at the moment) but I'm carbing it up big style at the moment. The nausea has come back a little bit in the last few days... I'm so ridiculous that I jumped back in fright at something on the TV just now and it made me queasy! I'm also super emotional... I cried in Baby Gap at the cuteness of the baby clothes! What a knob!

SuperDuperJezebel · 20/08/2016 20:22

Spaniel have you tried Swedish Glace? Closest thing I've found to ice cream without actual dairy. Just seen Booja booja is bringing out an ice cream too.

alphabook · 20/08/2016 21:16

When my nausea was bad I couldn't eat proper meals either, just ate small bits throughout the day.

I normally have a massive sweet tooth but I've been craving savoury (crisps, bread, Yorkshire puddings...). I haven't really been interested in sweets at all, other than Starburst seeming to help my nausea but I think that was the citrus flavours. I've been googling old wives tales and apparently that's a sign I'm having a boy!
