Ive noticed on the spread sheet theres a couple of people from cambridgeshire. If your going to the Rosie or hinchingbrooke in Huntingdon then you can be a volunteer in November for ultrasound training at addenbrookes.

You lay there get paid your car parking and get refreshments whilst a trainee takes photos does measurements ect then you get to keep all the scans for free!

I had it with DS and have a lovely collection of scan images and I got to see him for a extra time and I took my mil too so she could see. You can also find out or confirm gender if your finding out.

Zebra00 · 19/08/2016 18:40

I'm sorry to hear that boots limbo is a horrible place to be

Happygojo86 · 19/08/2016 18:46

Sorry you are still in limbo boots Flowers

alphabook · 19/08/2016 19:04

I'm really sorry worn, the wait must be agonising. I still have everything crossed for you.

CatalinaFuckingWineMixer · 19/08/2016 19:08

I have everything crossed for you worn The waiting must be horrible for you.

bumblebeekaty · 19/08/2016 19:09

Had my scan this morning and it all looks fine, I'm assuming I'll hear from the midwife if there's anything detected in the blood test or scan so keeping my fingers crossed that all is ok in there. Amazing to see little arms and legs and lovely to spend the afternoon telling people our news.

Due date is 28th Feb now and blood test was absolutely fine, phew!

Currently sat on the sofa with a cup of tea reading through the big pack that I should have probably looked at before the scan.

NameChange30 · 19/08/2016 19:14

Congrats bumblebee! Smile
They told me they'll send a letter with the screening test results. I imagine it's the same for everyone.

CatalinaFuckingWineMixer · 19/08/2016 19:23

bumblebee congratulations! It's such a lovely thing to see.

The letter I got with my scan date and details said that we would hear within 3-10days if there was anything detected, then should have results within 2 weeks if they were clear and we're to ring if we haven't had anything within 3 weeks. Not sure if that will be the same everywhere.

wornoutboots · 19/08/2016 19:26

it is horrible. if it is growing enough, I'll probably have an april due date.

but I'm stopping here with you lot until we know for sure, coz I'm comfy now ;-)

thank you all for the support

ItsMagicYouKnow · 19/08/2016 19:38

Gosh boots that's a long time to wait Sad sorry you're going through this. Fx everything will turn out OK x

ItsMagicYouKnow · 19/08/2016 19:41

Hula Hoops, Nik Naks and Pom Bears are going down a treat here, around 7pm (we eat ridiculously late, which doesn't help). Fake crisps rule!

Dustycorners · 19/08/2016 19:42

Boots so sorry you're still in limbo.

Congrats on the scan bumblebee

Wanderlust33 · 19/08/2016 20:42

I got my blood test results and NC scan results about an hour after the scan, but that may be because I was in a huge London hospital that can rush results. I thought it was pretty speedy as I thought I'd have to wait weeks.

I have been having such trouble sleeping recently - I'm absolutely knackered tonight.

Mummytobe83 · 19/08/2016 20:56

I don't know how to send PM...Can someone please help x I really would like to join the Facebook group. X

alphabook · 19/08/2016 21:28

Mummy if you're on the app you need to log in on the website instead. If you look for MrsMushroom's last post, there will be 3 dots on the bottom right hand side of the post. Click on that and it gives you the option to pm.

Mummytobe83 · 19/08/2016 22:51

Cheers Alphabook I am using my phone. I will log on from my P.C later x

SuperDuperJezebel · 20/08/2016 05:25

Wanderlust do you mind if I ask which hospital that was? I'm going to Thomas's on Monday.

12 weeks today! Really trying hard to clamp down on this anxiety til my ultrasound on Monday afternoon.

rbucz · 20/08/2016 07:19

Charlybs I got my baby on board badge a few days after filling out the online form. Weird that you never got one. So far it's worked on 3/4 trains. I feel like it's a bit early to wear it (I'm almost 9 weeks) but I've really needed a seat on the way home, hot trains plus nausea....urgh.

Congrats for everyone who's had good scans recently, and sending positive thoughts your way boots, hopefully you get good news soon.

Hopefully I'm going to buy new bras today, I've been so tired I haven't managed to make it to the shops, but I ended up having to wear a bikini top as a bra yesterday and I think enough is enough!

alphabook · 20/08/2016 07:51

Weird that yours didn't arrive charly, when my friend ordered hers it came quite quickly. Maybe you have a neighbour who's nicking then to get a seat on the tube!!

I drive to work so I probably won't even end up using mine much but it feels like a rite of passage to have one!

My hunt for a comfortable bra is continuing this weekend. I'm still not sure what size I am as nothing feels quite right so I'm going to Bravissimo to get properly fitted.

Clarity77 · 20/08/2016 08:13

Morning and hello all,

I have been reading this thread every day from the beginning but didn't want to join in until after my 12 week scan. Had a mmc in January and am worried about that happening again.
DC 4
Age 38
I have a 12 year gap since my last child so this really is starting again with my new partner (this would be his first). My eldest two are even starting uni next month.
Nausea really got me every evening between week 7 and 9 but since week 9 I've stopped retching and have managed to eat in the evenings again. I'm a bit worried about this improvement though in case it's another mmc. Otherwise I've been getting bloated, lots of diarrhoea (seem to have a really sensitive stomach) but no actual vomiting. I Have gone off coffee and curry which was my favourite thing. Also keep waking with pins and needles in my hands.
I am 10 weeks on Monday and have my booking in appt then. No idea when I will have a scan yet. I've moved to a new area and don't know the system here.

NameChange30 · 20/08/2016 08:18

Hello and welcome clarity. Hope you get your scan date soon. Do you think they might offer you an early one because of your MMC?

OP posts:
Clarity77 · 20/08/2016 08:51

Thank you name change, I'm assuming the scan won't be arranged until my booking in on Monday at 10 weeks so I think I'll be lucky to get one before 12 weeks. Unfortunately unless you have had three miscarriages in a row the NHS are fairly matter of fact about it. To be fair, although it is devastating to suffer a loss it is also (sadly) fairly common. One thing this thread has sadly highlighted is how common early losses can be. Obviously that doesn't make anyone feel any better about it though.
I've had an early scan at 7 weeks and all was well but realistically we all know that getting past the 12 week mark is the real test. I am so tempted to book another early scan but it was £100 (hampshire) so I'm trying to hold out and accept what will be, will be.
Congratulations to everyone who has got over the 12 week milestone by the way it's been lovely to read updates on your positive scans.

Happygojo86 · 20/08/2016 08:54

Welcome clarity, I have also NOT been constipated Blush. I've been a bit worried about it as I was really constipated with my last pregnancy, until 24 weeks ish. I know each pregnancy is different though and I don't have any other signs that indicate that anything could be amiss. My scan is a week on Wednesday so one way or the other I will find out.

NameChange30 · 20/08/2016 08:57

Clarity Glad your early scan went well, fingers crossed for the next one!

Happy Why would you WANT to be constipated?! Shock I had the most horrible, painful ordeal in the loo yesterday - sorry if that's TMI - and I'm praying it won't happen again!
