So sorry, Monkey Flowers

Congrats to Catalina and Alpha on your scans! Mine is 3 weeks tomorrow but I'm going for a (second!) reassurance scan on Sunday (I'll be 9+3 according to the measurement from the first scan I had). I wasn't planning to have another one before my 12 week scan but I am quite anxious and would like to be sure that things are progressing as they should be. We're off on holiday next week and I'd never enjoy it without checking first, particularly since a lot of my symptoms have gone! Fingers crossed it's just the placenta taking over

Good to everyone else with scans coming up!

Dustycorners · 17/08/2016 20:48

Congratulations on your scan Alpha!

Beautytobe · 17/08/2016 20:58

Can't remeber if I made a place on this one,

But
Name beautytobe
Edd 2th March
This is my 5th pregnancy but I only have one child my daughter

Am just about 12 weeks, ten week scan was good and have another in a week.
I also use my Doppler about 3 times a day so I can hear the heart beat...so far so good!!

Anyone else feeling...fat?
I think because I have had so many pregnancies that ur body does change faster than ur first but I feel like a bloated whale.
Am naturally very slim so maybe am just being vain

NameChange30 · 17/08/2016 21:02

Hi Beauty, we have the same EDD Smile
Sorry about your losses. How old is your DD?

I am most definitely feeling fat and this is my first pregnancy so I don't know if that has anything to do with it! I'm 11+6 and I've been feeling fat for a few weeks now. I was already overweight but an hourglass/pear shape so the bloated/big tummy is very noticeable, or at least it feels that way to me.

alphabook · 17/08/2016 21:21

I feel huge as well and this is my first pregnancy! I'm going to a wedding at the end of September and I'm already worrying about what to wear! It's not like I'll have a big bump to rock in a bodycon dress, I feel like I'm just going to look fat. I have awful body acne on my back and chest at the moment which is making me feel really self conscious as well.

Beauty there's a link to a spreadsheet down the thread if you want to add your details!

Cantstringawordtogether · 17/08/2016 21:33

Alpha and Catalina congratulations!!!! That first scan is flipping amazing :)

I'm 13 weeks tomorrow!! Have an obvious bump, small bit obvious, so I've started telling people! DD2 (just 7) guessed last week and kept it to herself until today I left her tell her brothers, they're pretty bloody excited, it's going to be a looooong 6 months!!!!! So cute though :) (DD1 sussed me 6 weeks ago, she's decided going away for uni next year is now much more appealing!!!!)

Cantstringawordtogether · 17/08/2016 21:34

*small but obvious

Wanderlust33 · 17/08/2016 21:45

So glad your scans went ok alpha and Catalina.

I also had my scan today. Was so anxious something was going to be wrong, but it all looks good. The baby was wiggling around and the technician (is that their name?!) was having trouble chasing him/her around to get a decent look. I'm so relieved.

Now to start telling people, I guess.

Good luck to everyone else with your scans.

NameChange30 · 17/08/2016 21:47

Brilliant news Wanderlust, congratulations! Time to add yourself to the stats spreadsheet, maybe?! Wink x

So glad that other are feeling "fat"! I feel as though I have a really obvious bump even though OH says I don't. Makes me really self conscious. Think this Sunday may be maternity jeans shopping but feels far too soon Hmm

WhereDoAllThePokemonGo · 17/08/2016 21:55

I have a bump but it's just bloatedness, been like this a week before my period was due. I have a small frame (6-8) but the bloat is very obvious to me. I feel like the Michelin man Blush

MrsMushrooms · 17/08/2016 22:16

Congrats, Wanderlust!!

I definitely feel really fat!! I've only put on 2lbs since getting pregnant but I'm all bloated and feeling very frumpy.

I also found that my bras were killing me so I've swapped to underwire-free ones and they just don't offer anywhere near the same level of support. They're much more comfortable but my outline is significantly altered to make my figure look a lot worse! If I could hold my boobs up properly without them being reeeeaallly sore, I definitely think I'd look and feel much better

user1469518192 · 18/08/2016 05:31

Alpha and wanderlust that is amazing news congratulations.
Is it you and I next Super? Or namechange? I think it's you isn't it name change?
I went to the doctors yesterday to get some anti sickness tablets. They are helping loads. Hoping the scan on Monday will pick me up after feeling so tired and ill xx

user1469518192 · 18/08/2016 05:31

Erm PS I've not idea why I'm user whatever and not tutulove I'm confused!!

Tutuloves · 18/08/2016 05:35

I'm so confused I've had to change this username thingy to tutuloves but it should have already been that? Need to contact MN

purplesmiler · 18/08/2016 06:47

Feeling so tired, if I hadn't started my new job recently I would be booking a couple of days off but got to wait for the weekend.

Had a little spotting yesterday, very light in colour and only when I wiped after the loo. Rang the epu who said if it carries on get back in touch but that it can be part of pregnancy. Scared me but touch wood I've been ok since.

Wanderlust33 · 18/08/2016 07:10

I will do that now NameChange - thanks for reminding me. Perhaps I can stop worrying about jinxing things a bit now. Blush

I definitely feel like I've put on loads of weight. My jeans barely fit now, but the scales say I haven't put on anything. It's so weird.

purple hope you're ok. Purely anecdotal of course, but the same thing happened to me too and I was fine. Let us know how you get on, if you want to.

DaisyBank82 · 18/08/2016 07:22

So sad to read your news, Monkey, what an awful shock. We've had far too many losses in the last few days in our little group. I feel so upset for you all, but not a fraction of what you each are feeling. I really hope that you all go on to have healthy pregnancies very quickly.

It's my scan today... I went for dinner last night for my OH's birthday at a fancy restaurant and couldn't eat quite a bit of the food, which was fine as they bought me other nice things, but something I ate really disagreed with me and I had a terribly upset tummy when we got home. I started to have awful cramps at the end of the meal and thought the worst but there is no bleeding and I still have my usual low level nausea so fx it's still all ok. Not too long to wait as the scan is at 9.20 am. Now to start drinking water. Last time my bladder was too full (?) so she asked me to go away and 'pee some out'?! I was very troubled by this idea as I can't really half go, especially not when pregnant! I tried and went back in but it was still too full so in the end I just let it all go (sorry if TMI!) and that was fine! I did have to go for a walk so she could get measurements and the whole thing took ages. Hoping today goes smoothly... Eek.

Butterpuff · 18/08/2016 07:39

Enjoy your scan today daisy with DC1 anything with undercooked garlic had a terrible effect on me.

I've managed to loose around 4lb since lmp but look fatter, my belly is definitely bloated I'm looking big.

alphabook · 18/08/2016 07:46

I'm really struggling with bras as well MrsMushrooms, my boobs are massive now and nothing feels right, non underwire bras seem to make them really saggy! I'm going to Bravissimo this weekend to get properly fitted.

Glad the anti sickness tablets are helping tutu.

Hope you don't get any more spotting purple.

Wander I feel the same, feels like I've put on at least half a stone but I've only actually put on 3lb.

Good luck today Daisy!

SuperDuperJezebel · 18/08/2016 07:47

Good luck Daisy, looking forward to hearing how you get on. Im worried about the full bladder thing cos I'm always feeling like I have the world's fullest bladder, I said to DH yesterday about how I always need a wee!

NameChange30 · 18/08/2016 07:51

Daisy Good luck for your scan today!

Tutu My scan is tomorrow (yay!) so it looks like I'm next after Daisy! Me and NoisyLittleLion (hi!)

Good luck with the scan Daisy!

Glad the meds are helping tutu - the nausea is just so awful.

Dozygirl · 18/08/2016 09:30

Good luck daisy. I've done that before and drank far too much and told to empty half of it. It's impossible to stop mid pee!

It's my first shift back at work today after a long maternity leave. On a late which is good because I've had a chilled morning with my dd and chance to prepare but I've been getting really tired mid afternoon and early evening so dreading feeling that tired and being at work. Hopefully the work load will keep me going. Can't even have lots of coffee. At least I know I'm not going back for another 6 months 😂😂😂
