charlybs · 16/08/2016 20:57

Oh! I think I feel mine?? Lol Grin

Dustycorners · 16/08/2016 21:00

Elsa, I'm so, so sorry. It's heartbreaking. As others have said, the op is nothing to worry about, and hopefully you will find that you can start to grieve properly once it's done. I hope you and your dp have lots of support. Take care Flowers

alphabook · 16/08/2016 22:03

TMI alert - my nipples are really dry and flakey, is that normal?!

ItsMagicYouKnow · 16/08/2016 22:14

Elsa so sorry to hear your news. Good luck for the op and the rest of your journey x

purplesmiler · 16/08/2016 22:51

So sorry elsa take care xx

MrsMushrooms · 16/08/2016 23:33

I'm so sorry about your news, Elsa. I can't add anything helpful here at all but I'm sending best wishes and sincere sympathy FlowersFlowers

Thanks, DozyGirl, I'll wave back! My friend is very understanding and supportive but I still feel sorry for her! We had a fun day today though :)

ClearlyOpaque, my MW said not to bother with Pregnacare because it was too expensive and mostly unnecessary. She seemed to think I was a bit daft to be paying for it :/ I like Pregnacare Plus because of the pregnancy-safe Omega 3 (some of those supplements aren't OK, I believe?) and I don't eat fish - she seemed to think that was unnecessary as well. She gave me a load of tablets to take instead once the Pregnacare runs out but I have soooo much left, plus the free ones from the sample pack!

Super, I feel like that a lot as well - there's no sense in being hard on yourself! My mum said that we start worrying when we get pregnant and then never stop so don't try and get over it... get used to it instead! I didn't think that was very helpful but the more I think about it, the more sense it makes. The extra responsibility that comes with every child means that learning to deal with anxiety and being kind to yourself about it rather than constantly fighting it probably makes a lot of sense!

Glad to see you don't have a faulty boiler and do have a CO monitor at home, Rosey! Will they test you again? Fingers crossed it was just a temporary blip!

alphabook I'm pretty sure that's normal - mine have been a bit like that when they're really sore!

CatalinaFuckingWineMixer · 17/08/2016 07:34

Hope everything goes well with your scan today alphabook!

NameChange30 · 17/08/2016 07:44

alpha and catalina Good luck for your scans today!

Thanks for the reassurance MrsMushrooms, I had a bit of a chat with DP this morning in the 2ish min before we went to work as he worked late again last night and he was lovely, not necessarily saying the exact right things but he's so calm and gentle and confident everything was fine. It kind of rubs off on me. Had a chat w my boss about when I might want to go on Mat leave as my job is quite a physical one, and extremely busy without much chance for a break during the day, so I'm looking at mid January with an EDD of 4 March. Half of me thinks I'll be so bored and half of me is looking forward to catching up on sleep before baby arrives!

neonrainbow · 17/08/2016 08:30

Good luck for your scans today. Flowers

I am 12 weeks today and ovia tells me they're each the size of a roborovski hamster. Not sure whether thats a good comparison i used to work in a pet shop and roborivskis are evil little buggers!!!😂

Carolann8584 · 17/08/2016 08:43

First MW appointment in 30 minutes, quite excited, it will probably be anti-climatic but still excited Grin

Hi everyone! Me and DH are off on our honeymoon this morning (currently sat in Heathrow) so I doubt I'll be on much til I get back. Wishing you all lots of luck while I'm away :) X

Cloeycat · 17/08/2016 09:49

Called up today, they couldn't have been nicer about changing the appointment again, even ended the call with 'don't worry it's our job to make this easy for you'. Can't believe the contrast between this call and the last!

Carolann8584 · 17/08/2016 10:17

MW couldn't have been nicer, very pleased but I will be under consultant care as I've had a disc removed a few years ago. Best bit she didn't even mention my weight! I know my BMI is high xx

wornoutboots · 17/08/2016 10:21

Carolann being under consultant-led care doesn't necessarily mean less midwife visits. It's always meant midwife appointments between consultant ones. And when I had my daughter I ended up with weekly appointments - one with consultant, 3 with mw for the last 4 months of it. I saw the MW more often than my closest friends!

Butterpuff · 17/08/2016 10:32

Have a lovely trip charley

How far along are you Hugh my symptoms are starting to ease and it's making me nervous. I'm sure I was sick longer with DC1 I may only be 9 weeks.

greentreeseverywhere · 17/08/2016 10:55

Scan through! !! 9th September il b 13 weeksGrin so excited but still ages away! I feel fine this week no symptoms at all. Which iv worried about but glad others are feeling the same. Just so long to waite to see if it's still there.

Dozygirl · 17/08/2016 10:58

I want my scan date AngryAngry just want to know when it will be now. I'm 11 weeks today. I'm so impatient!

Cloeycat · 17/08/2016 11:01

dozy if you are already 11 weeks I would ring up and ask about it.

Dozygirl · 17/08/2016 11:37

I only had my booking in last Thursday so I'll give it to the end of this week. They do things really last minute round here.

Gardencentregroupie · 17/08/2016 11:48

Dozy I would call them, my scan date was booked before I had my booking in when they got my gp referral. You don't want to call then only to find they don't have any slots until after the window for the nuchal test.

MissClarke86 · 17/08/2016 11:56

Mines the same Dozi. Midwife Monday, I'm 10+5 but she said scan letter can take a week. It's just how some authorities work.
