love2003 I'd imagine if you ring them now they'll book you in at the right time according to their timescales. I rang at 5 weeks, in our area they like to see women between 8-10 weeks, my appointment is this Friday when I'll be 9+4 because that was the earliest they could fit me in. So better to ring earlier rather than later I think.

neonrainbow · 25/07/2016 15:56

I got some maternity bras from primark today 2 for £8 in the next size up ... relief! Got changed lunchtime in the toilets i didn't realise how uncomfortable i was till i took the underwired one off. Fairly supportive too.

AllotmentJunkie · 25/07/2016 16:13

Just popped into my surgry on my way into town to ask what the procedure was to book in. After discussing dates becuase of the MWs holidays and mine my booking in apointment is going to be this Friday! I am only going to be about 5+3! It would have been at 13 weeks otherwise.

I dont know how I feel about this as it seems very very early, anything could happen.

They also gave me a big folder with the notes booklet plus lots of other booklets, info for classes, vouchers and even a pack of pregnacare pills. I just spent the past hour reading it all.

I would love to be able to buy my bras at Primark! being a 38G naturally they don't cater for me Sad

allot that is early, my doctors wanted to put my in for a week later as the MW only works Wednesdays, I asked for the week before so i'll be 9w+5 when I am seen

love I would call now to get it booked in, MW appointments fill up quickly, well that's what they told me at mine.

xx

purplesmiler · 25/07/2016 16:33

carolann I am the same struggle to get bras from the high street at all have gone up one cup size so far but love nothing more than taking my bra off on an evening.

Rosey135 · 25/07/2016 16:38

It all depends on where you are with booking in, I rang my surgery at 5+3 they gave me the midwife number, when I called them they said ring back at 7 weeks to make an appointment for 9 weeks. I'm in a very rural area so that might be why they are so relaxed here.

I woke up with a horrible sore throat, swollen glands and all bunged up, I never get ill normally :( feeling sorry for myself!

Carolann8584 · 25/07/2016 16:48

purple I haven't gone up yet, hope I don't , why can't mine just fill up Wink definitely will be breast feeding, put them to good use, been carrying them around for years lol

Congrats to the new BFPs!

I need to go bra shopping, mine are getting too small already. What size do Primark bras go up to? Normally I like to spend a bit more on bras so they last but not if I'm going to grow out of it in a few months!

Sorry to cinnamon and fx for your losses. Hope you've got lots of lovely supportive people around u at this sad time.

Reading posts but not had chance to post myself for ages. It's a very busy thread lol.

Booking in is at 11 weeks for my area. I've been given one for when I'm 10 weeks so I'm happy with that. Better than my last experience where I had to pester them for an appointment as I heard nothing from them.

Ready for exhausted stage to be over. So blooming tired and with an energetic baby to take care of its not so easy.

WelliesAndCake · 25/07/2016 19:28

So sorry Cinnamon and Skip, thinking of you both x

Gardencentregroupie · 25/07/2016 19:43

Really sorry to hear about your losses cinnamon and fxskip, it's so painful. I hope you're taking care of yourselves and giving yourself time to grieve Flowers

I'm 7+1 now and had my first appointment with the GP at 5+4. She said she was going to send the referral off that day but I haven't heard anything; my booking in with the midwives was at 8ish weeks in my last 2 pregnancies. Starting to wonder if she's actually sent the referral...

AngelBlue12 · 25/07/2016 19:50

Fxskip and cinnamon so sorry.

I'm putting off calling the docs, I can't remember if I'll have to go in for a GP appointment or if the MW will just come for a booking appointment.

Feeling sicky but ok so far...

neonrainbow · 25/07/2016 20:25

I had the first part of my booking in a week ago and the midwife said the other midwife would call me towards the end of the week to sort out the second half. Not heard anything yet, when should i chase? Or would you just wait? It's to do all the family history stuff.

BridgetDoodle · 25/07/2016 21:08

So sorry to hear about Cinnamon and fxskip. Big hugs Flowers
I'm just back from holidays, this thread has moved extremely fast! Had awful nausea when away, been a tough week but feeling good today. I have a scan tomorrow with my consultant. Excited but getting more nervous as it arrives. Just praying everything is ok.

purplesmiler · 26/07/2016 05:55

Feeling a bit sick this morning, sipping water is helping I haven't actually been sick yet. Yesterday evening a couple of people came and sat close to us and we're chain smoking it made me feel so poorly even though we moved less than five minutes later.

ElsaMars · 26/07/2016 09:13

Neon - what size did the maternity bras go up to? I've got massive (ever expanding) boobs, so don't want to have a wasted journey.

Hope everyone's ok this morning, apart from feeling Envy

I've gone from 50mg of Sertraline to nothing since finding out, so cant tell what's making me feel ill really! So spaced out, anyone else getting this?

SuperDuperJezebel · 26/07/2016 09:29

I had a little bit of spotting yesterday and as all my other symptoms have disappeared I was feeling pretty downhearted. However it was only a tiny bit and today the queasiness is back with a vengeance. My favourite breakfast, Greek yoghurt, and basically all milk, are now off the menu.

I just bought some asda T-shirt bras for £4 each and they're perfect. So comfy!

love2003 · 26/07/2016 10:24

Has anyone travelled abroad recently whilst pregnant? Just wondering anyone's experiences, due to this zika virus....

I'm due to go on a trip to France the week I will be 12weeks, still planning to go, just wondering any precautions I can take? Thank you!

neonrainbow · 26/07/2016 10:46

Hi else i bought a 38dd and didn't really look at the other sizes i dont mind popping out on my lunch and having a look at my local one if you want?

neonrainbow · 26/07/2016 10:49

Elsa sorry

Dozygirl · 26/07/2016 10:50

Those of you looking at getting bras I highly recommend joining a Facebook group called 'boob or bust' first. It has a measuring calculator and people there to advise u on what's a good fit especially with changing body shapes etc. It has lots of really useful information and itsupport surprising how many high street stops mainly m&s size you completely incorrectly. Also mothercare are terrible bra fitter . Anyway all u need is a decent measuring tape or a piece of string if u don't have a soft tape and you're good to go.

Carolann8584 · 26/07/2016 10:54

Anybody suffering with cramping, I seem to get it mostly at night, Its so bad it wakes me up, usually around 3-4am. No spotting. feels like first day of AF cramping minus the bleed, am I being a wuss coz I think its really painful. I know some cramping is my womb getting bigger.
