London and Twocats sorry to hear about your scary news, I have fx for both of you.

I had my 12 week scan today and will need to update the board as my due date has been brought forward two days to 3rd February 😁. Little Diddy appeared to be having a nap so no waves but they were in the perfect positioned for the NT test (hope they stay this well behaved), it's measuring 1.6 which seems good from what others have said. No scan pics yet as I forgot to pay for them in all the excitement 😳.

So this means I start the 2nd trimester on Friday, wasn't sure I'd ever get there so woo hoo!😀🎉

Thanks mimi. I'm pretty sure mine will turn out to be ok, my result was 0.40 MoM and apparently at 0.41 MoM they wouldn't have even bothered telling me so I think it's just a precaution that they're offering me extra scans. I don't mind because if there is a problem I'd rather they found it early.

I'm in a right hormonal narky mood today. I know it's hormonal as I know I'm being a bit unreasonable. But things are still getting on my big swollen sore tits!

Oh and congrats on your scan mimi! You're due the day after me.

I'm a bit of a lurker rather than a poster so my apologies! It's lovely to see everyone's scan pics and I truly hope that everything turns out ok for those having a tough time.

I've got my 12 week scan tomorrow and had a horrific dream last night where the NT came back super high and the sonographer wouldn't let me leave without carrying out a termination there and then. Just awful. I kicked and screamed and refused and they just locked me in a room with floor to ceiling windows on all four sides so that everyone could see me. Isn't it strange the way the mind works when asleep?! Hopefully tomorrow will be a little calmer than this...

Thanks for your kind words but I was just overreacting to nothing last night because I was hormonal. There isn't actually anything wrong and its very unlikely there will be.

I'm 10.1 and just had booking appt today. So great to hear everyone's experiences! X

Just back from my 12 weeks scan and thank Goodness, this time, it was all good news! The baby is progressing as it should be - had the nuchal fold measurement thing and it was measuring 1.4 which they said is absolutely fine however also had bloods taken and need to wait for results of full tests as my age (41) may affect things.

I'm actually 12+3 though (rather than 11+5 as we expected) so due date is 5 February now!

London don't feel like an idiot. It's a worrying time and I can guarantee most of us would be feeling exactly the same as you. I have to stop myself from reading the antenatal tests section on here because I stress out about the things that could go wrong rather than the overwhelming likelihood that things will be fine. I'm sure from what you've said everything will be ok but with any element of doubt you're bound to worry.

Went to the early pregnancy unit today and....One happy healthy baby measuring ahead of what I am! Can't believe it! Measuring 13 weeks. No idea how the first midwife only saw a sac measuring 5 weeks- baby was waving and kicking like mad!

Cinderella I'm so ridiculously happy for you. That brought tears to my eyes. What the bloody hell were they playing at at the first scan? Did they give you any answers? So sorry you had to go through that stress but yay for a healthy bean!

I am delighted, I spent all day yesterday crying and today had accepted the fact that the pregnancy was no longer and went up fully expecting to be told bad news. No idea how the mix up was made, I don't even care at the minute, I have a healthy baby and that's all that matters

Cinderella, oh my god, that's such good news, butI think once over the initial relief I would be wanting to lodge a complaint regarding the first scan. It's awful that they told you there was nothing to see other than a small sac. A 12-13 week foetus is pretty damn hard to miss. All that worry and heartache they put you through for nothing

Congrats Cinderella we were all rooting for you and the bubba! What was that midwife looking at?? And am I right in thinking you're further along than you thought? Even better news!

Funny thing is it was my midwife who looked after me throughout my previous 2 miscarriages and my 2 viable pregnancies and done all my post natal care who carried out the scan, and I know she is a fabulous midwife! I called in after the scan to give in the letter the epu had given me and seen her, I told her everything was fine and she said 'oh good, and how many weeks are you?' and when I said 13 her jaw nearly hit the floor! She was certain I was going to say 4-5.
I am back tomorrow again to get booked in again! I suppose mistakes do happen, maybe baby is lying in a funny position or something, who knows but the main thing is there's a healthy little bean bouncing around in there
