I have put on half a stone but have been pretty much eating non-stop! Grin I often eat 2 sandwiches and 2 bags of crisps at lunchtime plus a chocolate bar of some description.....! Blush I was a bit of a gym bunny before and ate sensibly and healthily but all that has gone out of the window!! Love Tigerbread Shellbell I could just eat it non-stop!!

MrsM2016 · 26/07/2016 14:40

shellbell sometimes ready salted crisps are all I can handle - they have been my savour!! HA.

Today I have felt particularly bad. I can't wait to get home. I have a wedding dress fitting tonight. Pray I don't puke on the dress :-(

MarjorySunshineDust · 26/07/2016 15:03

I've been eating a lot of plain crisps and carby things as well, have really gone off fruit and veg which is so unlike me. I am usually very healthy and avoid white bread as it bloats me. Probably why I already look like I've got a bump, so many sandwiches!!

Welcome diana! I'm another psychology graduate, I'm a family support worker in a residential setting now.

Your friend is being ridiculous sparkling that comment would have really annoyed me.

SkyLucy · 26/07/2016 15:11

I have a scan date! Hurrah! Monday! OMG....

Well jel of all you ladies who've managed to lose weight...I am eating a lot of fruit, but an absolute ton of carbs too. And coca cola. And pints of milk?!

Welcome newbies - love that we're still getting newbies!

Button - I'm in Berko too! Ha, we probably see each other on the platform every day and don't even realise...! If all goes well for us maybe we'll find each other at an NCT class. Or (more likely for me at the moment), browsing that crisp/nuts/bad things aisle in the little Tesco..!

kikisdelivery · 26/07/2016 15:23

Ooh Sky, we can be scan buddies Wink

I 100% get what you mean about milk! I went through a phase about 2 weeks ago of being obsessed with kiddie cartons of banana milk. I would never buy it normally, we don't have children (yet!) so we wouldn't have it in the house, but I just saw it in the shop and my brain was very much set to "WANT!".

I've still got a carton of it in the fridge, but I've now kind of gone off the idea again.

Oooh yes, ladies, does anyone have any odd smell aversions/likes? Right now, I cannot smell strong floral or berry scents without my stomach turning . My house used to be a scented candle paradise (to me), I'd light loads round the house in the evening, but now they make me feel like vomiting if I even open the cupboard I keep them in!! Same with berry or flower scented shower gels - I'm currently having to use that Original Source Mint gel because it's the least offensive I can tolerate!!

LondonGirl83 · 26/07/2016 15:36

Hah, 8lbs seems to be a popular number!

I have had friends lose a stone or more during the first trimester so I'm not worried. I'm taking supplements and eating fruit and veg. I've read before that unless you lose more than 10% of your body weight, health professionals are not concerned and even then its more to do with potential dehydration from severe sickness.

Anyhow, despite the weight loss I still have a growing bump. Can't wear anything with a belt, just loose flowing dresses :) Boobs are huge too.

ButtonTum · 26/07/2016 15:50

Sky this is mental! My scan is Monday too! I'm going to stoke Mandeville, how about you?

SkyLucy · 26/07/2016 16:14

Aw so close Button! Mine's in Hemel - I think because I chose Watford as my delivery hospital? (I panicked. May well change that decision!) I do love the idea of us eyeing up other women in the waiting room though, trying to work out if the username fits!

SpinALittleFaster · 26/07/2016 16:16

sausage my bleeding is related to miscarrying one and my epu pushed for my booking scan to be as early as possible, so they are concerned. It's not a small amount and at one point my uterus was full of blood.

sky I didn't mean to alarm you! It depends on where you'd be going. We were looking at Florida where there is already a high mosquito population, and in the last few days there have been reports of the virus being obtained locally.

London I lost half a stone by 16 weeks last time. I was the heaviest I've ever been pre pregnancy though and had no appetite until in to the second trimester. I've probably put on weight this time but my bmi was 19.5 at 6 weeks so I need it!

SausageDogGeorge · 26/07/2016 16:22

sorry Spin I must've missed that on previous posts - didn't mean to cause any offence. Hope all goes well for you Flowers

SpinALittleFaster · 26/07/2016 16:29

Don't apologise, just a bit of a touchy subject at the moment and I'm trying desperately not to think about any of it. 6 more days and hopefully we'll know either way if all will be ok.

Carly6971 · 26/07/2016 16:38

Over the moon to say that our 12 week scan went well. I literally can't stop crying...happy tears. After my mc a couple of years ago I truly had given up hope that I would ever be a mummy to my own precious baby. I can't describe how blessed I feel, that after 9 long years it's finally our turn :,) I know my precious angel in the sky is keeping a close watch over his baby brother or sister xx oh and we are measuring ahead so due date changed to 1st Feb....how's that even possible when it's an ivf baby?? There can't be any mix up with dates lol x

ButtonTum · 26/07/2016 16:41

Carly that's fab congrats Smile

Haha Sky I was totally going to be checking out all the other scanees-in-waiting on Mon Grin will just have a beady eye on the trains instead! Wink

Mysterycat23 · 26/07/2016 16:43

Scan all fine and I spent most of it eyes shut trying not to cry so poor sonographer could get the measurements he needed. I had no idea they move around so much even though so tiny! Thought it would be really grainy and hard to see but it was crystal clear, absolutely incredible. Baby was annoyed at having pressure put on, turned a somersault and then turned his/her back on us! Still in shock. Will have to tell the rest of my family soon!

Mysterycat23 · 26/07/2016 17:08

Cross post Carly here's to happy crying!

Carly6971 · 26/07/2016 17:25

mystery yes happy tears are the best kind! Thrilled your scan was good too. Most amazing feeling ever. X

AngrySparrow · 26/07/2016 17:27

I'm 10 weeks today and thought that the nausea might start to subside a little (no idea why I thought this...wishful thinking!) but seem to be getting worse. Lots of last minute working from home as I can't take throwing up into a bag while on the tube! Ahhh....surely this will have to get better soon? I've put on so much weight as the only thing that stops me feeling sick is eating high carb foods...all day long!

SBSparkles · 26/07/2016 17:29

Carly congratulations!!! What a lovely picture! We are the same - measuring a week ahead despite it being an ivf baby! No idea how that happens!! I'm now actually end of Jan but sneakily staying on here because I like this group!! Xx

SBSparkles · 26/07/2016 17:32

Kiki I have also gone mad on banana milkshake! I pop a couple of banana in the blender with some milk! But kiddie stuff sounds even better! No aversions to be except dh's aftershave which I used to live and I can't STAND the smell of cigarettes!!

SBSparkles · 26/07/2016 17:33

Carly congrats to you as well!! Smile

SBSparkles · 26/07/2016 17:34

Sorry I mean mystery - just had a nap and brain not functioning!!

LondonGirl83 · 26/07/2016 17:47

Carly congrats!

Evergreen17 · 26/07/2016 18:31

Thanks 2many ok I see.
Kellz thanks, I know what AIBU is but it was the biscuit I didnt knowConfused
Ahhh kikis best of luck for your scan. I can't wait for these 12 weeks to be (successfully) over
Spin if I get bad news I won't need to care about zika so I would go anyway. Plus I don't think it is a threat there Hmm
Sparkles I personally won't be putting anything on Facebook/ telling lots of people until at least another couple of months. Probably wont put it on facebook at all. It is your decision really.
Maybe she meant that if something goes wrong then you have to tell people on facebook again? Did this happen to her? Maybe because she was probably giving advice based on her experience but yes it is your decision really. So if you are happy with posting about it then that is all that matters!
My midwife did tell me not to say until around 13 weeks just in case problems/ down syndrome...
I thought it was good advice for me.
But everyone is different and has the right to do as they please

I am eating a lot of food and stuff

But still running and cycling so not putting weight yet although I have a big belly. Not a bump, a fat belly.

divadee · 26/07/2016 18:32

Evening mums to be.

Well they finally managed to get blood from me today for my harmony test yuiippee. So should get the results next week sometime hopefully. Then I think I can actually start to relax and enjoy even if I do still feel like crap.

I'm glad I had booked the harmony test as my combined test will not be a good result I don't think. My NT was 2.8mm so high side of normal and topped with my age not good.

But we did get a hand wave at the ultrasound today.

CeeCeeEnnEss · 26/07/2016 19:07

So glad for all the lovely scans!!!

I'm feeling (dare I say it?) a bit better today! I was shattered yesterday after a tiring weekend, and felt rough in the evening, but I've been quite beansy today. I've eaten a sausage sandwich for dinner (using up sausages) and even managed some shagging. Poor DH thought all his Christmases had come at once!
