Crazy that we are onto thread 4 already!

Just starting the 12-week scans, but still feet firmly in the anxiety-ridden first trimester, yikes!

Lovely to read all the good scan news!

Feeling a bit teary today. Feel like I'm letting dd down because I just don't have the energy to do all the things we usually do and I just seem to spend the day clock watching until I can go back to bed. Damn hormones.

Has anyone else who's breastfeeding noticed a change in supply yet? My dd only really has bedtime feeds now but there's definitely less now. She doesn't seem bothered really.

SausageDogGeorge · 25/07/2016 11:30

Great news with all the scans! Smile Mine is on Wednesday! No sickness any more but still sore boobs! With my first 2 pregnancies I don't remember having any symptoms at all! Good luck everyone! Smile

Bumblebee33 · 25/07/2016 12:21

Finally got my scan date through: 16th August. So relieved I have a day in the diary to look forward to now and an extra plus is that it isn't a day that I work, so I won't need to take time off. Glad to hear the positive news from those having scans already!

Dutchy88 · 25/07/2016 12:40

Got my nuchal measurement scan next Thursday - you pay for it privately here. This will be one very photographed baby!!

Kellz92 · 25/07/2016 12:43

Dutchy My Dating scan is next Monday, that will be my 4th Scan lol, then i know i will have a 20 week, 28, 32, 36, 39 week scan too lol Maybe another if baby doesnt cooperate at the 20 week one

Bumble Glad you have a date to look forward too, I go to Crete on that day so good day for me too lol

Sausage I bet you cant wait until Wednesday!!

Marjory I feel a bit like this with DD as im just so sleepy, and shes becoming quite clingy as well

xx

radderss · 25/07/2016 12:53

Just had my date through today - 10th August! So excited and happy now it's through.
Just been for my blood tests this morning
Eeeeek - this is real isn't it?? Xx

radderss · 25/07/2016 12:56

Should work give you the time off for your scan or not? Xx

LondonGirl83 · 25/07/2016 13:04

Radders work legally has to give you time off for scans.

Congrats on the happy scan news ladies

Dutchy where do you live? I've never heard of an NHS trust that doesn't after Down's screening for free. Is it just that they use your HCG and Pap-A protein levels rather than the combined screening test that includes the nuchal scan? I'm always shocked by how different treatment is in the UK depending on where you are located.

LondonGirl83 · 25/07/2016 13:07

I just got back from my booking in which went fine. They didn't weigh me (just asked me for my approximate pre-pregnancy weight-- I wore a floating dress and everything thinking I'd be getting up on the scales!) My BMI is normal though so perhaps that's why they didn't care about my exact weight?

The only thing that was a pain was doing the blood work. I have really tiny veins and they had to try it 3 times in different locations before they could get the amount of blood they needed. This happens from time to time when I need to give blood so I'm hoping there isn't too much more blood work involved in pregnancy.

FriendlyGhost · 25/07/2016 13:25

Fab scan news! Dutchy after all that worry it really is fantastic Smile
Marjory I'm still breastfeeding. I think there has been a slight drop in supply because dd who has traditionally been a rubbish eater is suddenly eating a lot more. Still can't get her to drink cows milk and she's having just as many feeds from me still-about 4 in 24 hours. She does sometimes say 'more more' when she's finished both sides too so perhaps it isn't satisfying her as much.

Dutchy88 · 25/07/2016 13:30

London I'm not in the uk, I'm in the Netherlands.

Sienna9522 · 25/07/2016 14:37

10 weeks today. Still not received my scan date yet so feeling somewhat irritated!

CinderellaFant · 25/07/2016 16:37

Not looking good here. Went and she said she couldn't see much, that there is a sac there but it's only measuring approx 5 weeks- I should be 12+3. Have an app at the epu on Wednesday but not holding out much hope. Absolutely gutted.

Sunshineface123 · 25/07/2016 16:59

Oh no cinderella that's awful, so sorry to hear that. Sending hugs xx

Evergreen17 · 25/07/2016 17:14

Cinderella so sorry to hear Sad

I think that it is madness that we have to wait for the 12 week scan to find out how we are supposed to be feeling/ what is happening to us
Sad

Evergreen17 · 25/07/2016 17:16

Kikis I only have the sore boobs and they come and go... All we can do is wait now...

CeeCeeEnnEss · 25/07/2016 17:22

I'm so sorry Cinderella

Mysterycat23 · 25/07/2016 17:40

So sorry to hear that Cinderella

radderss · 25/07/2016 17:43

Sorry Cinderella - lots of luck for Wednesday xx

SBSparkles · 25/07/2016 17:49

Oh I'm so so sorry Cinderella!! My heart goes out to you. I hope you have some support xxxxx FlowersFlowers

CinderellaFant · 25/07/2016 18:00

Thanks everyone, I just don't know what to think. Surely if baby stopped growing at 5 weeks my body would have expelled it by now? Midwife kept saying its maybe all ok I've just got my dates wrong but there's a big difference between 5 weeks and 12 weeks! When I missed my period at the end of May I done a digital and it said 1-2 weeks, the next week it went up to 2-3 weeks so I know I was definitely pregnant then. I'm gutted, I had a miscarriage the month before falling pregnant this time, looks like it'll be 2 miscarriages in a row. I guess it's not meant to be.

Shellbell0403 · 25/07/2016 18:04

I'm so sorry Cinderella Fingers crossed it was maybe just an error xx

Kikis what synptoms did you have?

evergreen did you not get an early scan due to pcos?

SausageDogGeorge · 25/07/2016 18:04

So sorry to hear that Cinderella Same happened to me last time (last Christmas) - so I know how you must feel. At my 12 week scan there was just a tiny bean and it had stopped growing at 7 weeks. I thought the same....surely I would have miscarried but I hadn't - all the best, hope you're ok xx Flowers

SkyLucy · 25/07/2016 18:06

Agh Cinderella I truly hope there's been a mistake somewhere along the line...I wish you enormous luck for Weds xxx

LondonGirl83 · 25/07/2016 18:28

Cinderella so sorry you think it might be a missed miscarriage. They are so rare (1% I think of all pregnancies). I hope you have lots of RL support.
