Crazy that we are onto thread 4 already!

Just starting the 12-week scans, but still feet firmly in the anxiety-ridden first trimester, yikes!

Good luck tomorrow dutchy I hope everything is growing as it should now.

Good luck with the 12 week scans tomorrow too Cinderella and sparkles.

ready DH touched my tummy when we were getting DD ready for bed the other night and I practically slapped his hand away. Far too early for any of that!

Readyfortwo · 25/07/2016 06:25

I don't mind DH touching me, but just felt a bit violated my MIL....not really sure how I could have stopped her either. I tried saying there's nothing there yet but she ignored me.

Evergreen17 · 25/07/2016 07:50

Shell true Blush Can't get used to fiancee yet so I will need to change again to DH quickly Grin

Ready can you put an electric mini fence around belly?
Or move away quick as a ninja next time. Grin

2ManySweets · 25/07/2016 07:59

Hello folks, upthread someone asked what the latest NHS 12w scan is on here and I think it may be mine; I'm getting mine done Aug 15th when I'll be bang on 12w.

For all the reasons everyone's mentioned above I'm sort of fearful too, especially as I've had to tell quite a few folk I'm preggers because circumstances have made it necessary Confused

twocatsandatoddler · 25/07/2016 08:03

No one except DH touching belly yet, but a lady did offer me a seat on the train this morning so I must look really big already!

2ManySweets · 25/07/2016 08:05

^ this reminds me

Londoners (unless they have them elsewhere):

When will you start wearing your "Baby on Board" badges?

MimiDiddy · 25/07/2016 08:25

Ready my MIL did the same to me during my first pregnancy after I'd had a rather large curry and asked me if I was sure I was only 11wks. She's a nurse so should have known all she was rubbing was my gas and flab. I didn't feel I could stop her either but I did get tell DH to tell her to never do that again.

I'm 12 wks now and have a low bump but for anyone other than DH to touch it would be tantamount to sexual assault, it's practically my fanjo!

twocatsandatoddler · 25/07/2016 08:25

Last time I wore mine quite early as I felt sick and dizzy for a few weeks so needed the seat more in the first trimester than I did in the second! I took it off as soon as I got off the train though as I didn't want anyone from work to see it. I don't wear mine this time because I always get a seat anyway on my new commuter line (except this morning when the previous train was cancelled so lots of people standing!), but I carry it in my bag now so on the rare occasions I get the tube I can put it on off I need it.

Dreamingoutloud7 · 25/07/2016 08:32

Got my appointment through for my scan, 9th August. They also included my 20 week one in October as well, never knew the nhs were so organised!

ready my step mum rubbed mine yesterday, I was in complete shock I actually didn't believe that people would do that any time let alone so early on!

Dreamingoutloud7 · 25/07/2016 08:33

Ooh and good luck dutchy, Cinderella and sparkles on scans today, it's all becoming very exciting on here lately!

kikisdelivery · 25/07/2016 08:47

Morning ladies!

My goodness, we've skipped ahead another 5 pages in the time I've been away over the weekend!

Good luck for your scans today cinderella and sparkles Smile

I woke up this morning to no sore boobs.... so of course now I'm on the "where have my symptoms gone" train... Sad. Anyone else have a total dropping off of symptoms - I'm now 11+2 ... scan this time next week... and no scary symptoms like cramps or bleeding. I do sometimes wonder if there's even something in there, though!!

Evergreen17 · 25/07/2016 08:54

2manysweets I am quite lucky that I usually get a seat but I will start wearing it after my 16w midwife appointment. People at work will know then and neighbours

Sunshineface123 · 25/07/2016 08:58

Hi everyone, good luck for those with scans today! Mine is Friday can't wait but also nervous. kiki same as you not really had loads of symptoms other than sore boobs which are now huge (to me!). Hoping I've not imagined it all!

Just researching preg yoga, is anyone else going to give it a go? When should you start?!

2ManySweets · 25/07/2016 09:14

I had an absolutely amazing pregnancy yoga teacher and her techniques kept me calm and focused with my complicated labour of DD. I started it at 29w as I wanted to try and use it for when I was in labour rather than for day to day stretching etc if that makes sense? I think most places start you from about 20w if not earlier.

Re: the "baby on board" badges, last time I felt so whacked out mine went on at week 11! It's funny that I needed it the most when I showed the least.

Kellz92 · 25/07/2016 09:31

Wow you ladies have been busy this weekend!! I will try catch up this evening after work

My EPU scan went well yesterday, im measuring around 12 weeks, i thought i was 12 weeks so thats good, but she did say that baby was all curled up and if it were my dating scan she wouldnt be happy with the way baby was lying thats why she didnt give an exact due date yesterday, but that wasnt what i was there for so i dont mind, baby was sound asleep but had a lovely fast heart beat.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend

Great pictures kellz, glad all is ok!

Thank you for all the good wishes for my scan today, I will update this afternoon, hopefully with a pic of a wee healthy bean!

Good luck too to dutchy and sparkles, may this be a good day for us all! Grin

Shellbell0403 · 25/07/2016 09:38

Kellz aww lovely scan 😁

Good luck to the scans today ladies xx

SkyLucy · 25/07/2016 09:42

Ah great news Kellz!

2many - I've had my badge for a few weeks now and was determined not to wear it 'til 12 weeks, but as of this morning I've changed my mind! My commuter train into town is fine but the bus to my office was horrendous this morning, and the train home is a bit of a bunfight. I feel GHASTLY today - thought I was going to faint, so will risk a badge just to make sure I don't collapse!

Kikis - I'm sure the disappearance of symptoms must be scary but I hear it's normal, and right now, I'd pay very good money to have some relief! Try not to worry, and enjoy it!

Kellz92 · 25/07/2016 09:43

Cinderella Good Luck!!

Thank you ladies, just looking forward to my scan next week to find out my proper due date and tell people :)

xx

kikisdelivery · 25/07/2016 10:07

Sky, you're right! I shouldn't moan....who'd have thought I'd want sore boobs and to feel nauseous! But yeah, I'm the worst person for internet-diagnosing, so I'm stepping away from the computer....or trying....!

Kellz that's lovely Smile, congrats on your scan!

Kellz92 · 25/07/2016 10:11

Kiki My sickness has almost disappeared, just get waves of it now and then

Thank you :)

xxx

divadee · 25/07/2016 10:51

Good luck all ladies with scans today. I am just getting ready for my harmony test and scan. Still nervous. And will be tomorrow at the nhs one as well.

Dutchy88 · 25/07/2016 10:55

Scan went well. Moved forward to 11+1 so due date of 12th February.

I'm finally starting to feel like I can relax and enjoy this pregnancy. Baby did a little dance on screen for us and looked so much like a baby!!

Kellz92 · 25/07/2016 10:58

Good luck Diva

Dutchy Thats great news!! hope you manage to relax now xx

CinderellaFant · 25/07/2016 11:01
