Diva I'm jealous of your scan being so soon. I had a hideous nightmare last night that my 12w scan showed up no baby but also ovarian cancer!!??? I thought I'd have some fun vivid hallucinogenic type dreams not this awfulness. Sorry for being a Debbie Downer on a sunny Saturday. Feeling a bit grim and rattled

DH was telling him and showing him the scan pictures, he was nodding along in agreement and then said "we'll put these away now" talking about the pictures and went back to his playing

Oh button. Is there anyway you could stretch to a private scan? I am having my private scan and harmony test Monday and the nhs dating scan on Tuesday. Just the way the appts have fallen for me. We decided on the private scan and harmony test as it is a big deal for us to look for any abnormalities as we have other family to think about and at my age that is also a consideration.

We will definitely find out. DH was on the fence but it matters to me so he's going along with it.

Button I've had some horrible nightmares in addition to strong vivid dreams including one about miscarrying. I was so rattled I couldn't even mention it to DH. Since then I've had a scan but its a horrible feeling at the time.

My symptoms are coming and going now. Occasional nausea and food aversion, my boobs are sore but not as sore but I am still very tired. I am 10 weeks today and they have been getting better for the last week.

My cervix was slightly sore last night and I think I had some pink cervical discharge-- I say think as it was very faintly pink when I wiped once and is now gone. Still, I'm meeting with my consultant on Tuesday after my booking in appointment and I will get a scan then which I am grateful for as I need the reassurance again.

Button vivid dreams are really common in pregnancy and I think our brains work on our fears. So far I've dreamt I'm having twins, the heartbeat at the scan was too low (I've had an early scan and neither of these things happened), I started bleeding (jumped up and went straight to the loo to check) and last night I dreamt I went shopping with dd and someone started shooting (possibly I've been watching the news too much). These dreams are horrible when they happen but I really don't believe they're anything other than your mind worrying about things and they certainly are unlikely to predict what's going to happen. How long is it to your scan?
I'm going to a hen do tonight and am dreading it. I have absolutely nothing that fits and doesn't make me look about six months pregnant. I'm not sure I want to tell people yet and it doesn't feel right when it's someone else's turn to be the centre of attention. I expect people will guess though.

button last pregnancy I dreamt I gave birth... to my cats! Highly disturbing. Pregnancy dreams are weird. It's pretty normal I think.

friendly hope the hen goes ok. I went shopping today and bought loads of casual stretchy clothing but feel absolutely massive. Can you cry off sick if it's all a bit much? Felt wretched on and off for about three weeks now so other than work I've been a bit of a hermit.

Reassured to see so many weird vivid dreams stories! I've been having crazy dreams for a couple of nights - not about the pregnancy though.

Gin have you checked your work's mat policy? Mine (which is truly shoddy in every other way) treats time off with pregnancy-related illness differently to 'normal' sick leave, meaning it doesn't count on my HR record. My boss has been great though, so I've just worked from home when the MS has made my 90 min commute impossible! Much easier to work from bed, near a loo and infinite weird snacks!

Sky my work is the same, I have been off for two weeks so far...

Regarding ms it seems to be just nausea today and wrenching, onky brought up alot of mucus? Sorry for tmi.
DH is away for the weekend so home alone and feeling sorry for myself! Haha...

Also does anyone have a horrible taste in their mouths even after brushed their teeth etc?

Thanks Diva. I had a private scan 2 weeks ago. I think another would be wonderful but not sure I can justify it. My 12w scan is a week Monday so not too long to wait

Off for a nap now after v busy day so far which has included a swim, dog walk, shop, & pub trip. FX for no dreams!

Am joining you on the weird dreams front - maybe it's because we're sleeping more lightly or getting up all the time, I'm on hols at the mo and thought would be more relaxed but nope, as scary as ever!

We went on a boat trip today, bad idea with MS! I thought it was over, but combined with seasickness made for a v unpleasant afternoon. Scan on tues though, will be 12+5. How long can other tests be done afterwards if nuchal comes back high risk?

Can I ask a question about people's "style" of MS please? Sorry it's a bit disgusting ....

So I started with nausea at about 5 weeks, when woke up needed to eat and had to graze all day to not feel sick. But I wasn't really sick - only a couple of times in 3/4 weeks.

Come on holiday at 8 weeks and through started to feel not so bad. But it's all changed .... I don't have nausea now ... I just feel sick for a bit and then I am actually sick now but it's like it's food that can't digest.

So I had lunch at 1.30 and some of it has just come up. It's not like when you've got a bug sick though and it just comes up running to loo type thing ... It's like heaving and eventually it brings it all up and until it's done just don't feel better. Seems to becoming daily now and in the evenings.

Has anyone else's MS changed as its gone on? I'm 9 + 1 now. Flying home tomorrow and quite looking forward to getting back to home comforts again

button last night I had a dream that the actor Paul Giamatti and I were in a hotel room watch and singing along to the Little Mermaid For the last few weeks I have multiple dreams a night and all very vivid and peculiar including at least one nightmare each night. I thought it was just me.

radders my sickness has mostly been nausea though I have actually thrown up twice in my mouth unexpected while eating (horrific!) For the past week the nausea has been far less intense though it still comes in waves and I still don't feel like myself.

radders mine started as nausea and progressed to actual sickness for about 2 and a half weeks and yesterday and today it's been nausea and bringing up mucus etc

radders my morning sickness has been similar to yours, I had to eat constantly at first to keep the nausea at bay. Now at just under 12 weeks I'm still getting waves of nausea with the occasional day of vomitting. Today is such a day

I need to go shopping, feel so fat at the moment, my stomach is huge but I just look like I've put on weight, no proper bump yet. Just another reminder of how much my body has changed since pre dd, I never used to carry weight on my stomach.

radders I'm still in the grazing constantly to try and avoid it phase. I've only been physically sick a handful of times over the past three weeks, but I constantly feel nauseous. Seems worse all morning and during the evening, afternoons I normally feel knackered! lucy I told my boss last week and he's been really supportive, I could take sick leave but I feel like most days I just about manage to hold it together with water and snacking, and sometimes work is a distraction. Plus I can't really work from home so would be letting people down if I'm not there. I've taken two days off total so far and a few extended lunches where I've just sat somewhere quiet. Hoping at 10 weeks Monday I'm at the final furlong!

Ladies talking about sickness, mine as the same...nausea, to sickness bought on by food or teeth brushing, then progressed to just unprovoked barfing! Now 13+1 and back to nausea....

Anyone else feeling a bit of a 'lump' when they lay down?

radders I just get waves and waves of nausea and hopefully it's reaching it's peak now.
Exercising through it helphelped until I ruined my knee skiing on duplo pieces ...

Not just me still having the MS and vivid dreams then.. have had 2 horrible nightmares and 2 filthy sex dreams so far! Just wish I could sleep properly instead of tossing and turning all night, waking up randomly to be violently sick! Yuck. 12 weeks today and just want the never ending nausea to be over. exciting to see all the scan photos !

10+3 today. I am feeling pretty great again and I went for a run after 3 weeks of nothing

Radders I'm 10+1 and have spent the last three weeks being overwhelmed by nausea. I take no joy in food but have to graze constantly to stop the sickness...fruit and crisps are good, as are really cold drinks and ice cream! It's so upsetting - I feel debilitated, and I'm normally a huge foodie whose main hobby is cooking.

I also have the weird taste in my mouth - not metallic, more sour. I think that's why I can't enjoy food even though I'm constantly eating. I've put on weight too....gone from a size 8 to a 12 - weight always goes straight to my boobs and belly! All in all, I'm pretty miserable!

I'm still nauseous, the tiredness and mental dreams have subsided a bit but know I think I'm starting with heatburn/indigestion already - the joys of pregnancy! Btw I'm not finding out the sex, I didn't with my dd either. It's nice to have a surprise

I've woke up this morning with nausea. It must be coming back. Had a digestive biscuit to try and stop it.

I could've been sick again last night after my dinner but I just went to sleep. Maybe that's why I feel so sick this morning.

I too feel like a massive lump and like I'm waddling when I walk.
I dread to jump on the scales when I get home.
I've also been really struggling to the go the toilet here so putting loads in and nothing come out.

I'm not feeling a plane journey right now! Barf.
