Is anyone else having trouble falling asleep? I can't get comfortable and then I keep having weird thoughts/ dreams? It's bad enough dc wake me but the last few nights I am not even asleep when they wake me. I am exhausted.

Jp I have had same trouble the last 2 nights. Wide awake for ages after DH and then again at 2am.

As this is my first DH and I agreed we are actually not going to find out, tempting as it will be. I have a feeling it's a girl (based on nothing much).

I am glad I am not the only one button, it's a nightmare. Dc even went for their naps yesterday and I still couldn't sleep, I am like a zombie, and my aunt arrives today for the weekend so I have to do a small bit of cleaning and then entertain for the weekend. How I am going to get through today never mind the weekend I really don't know.

Welcome user, can't believe how huge this group is! Still feeling massive and sicky. If all goes well with scan and midwife appointment today I'm going to come clean at work next week, even though I'm only 9+5 today, as there are lots of drinks and socials in the next week or two and I'm running out of excuses dodging them! Plus it'll be nice to be honest when I feel particularly nauseous and explain why I'm eating ham sandwiches at ten am... Anyone else scanning/midwifing today?

Thinking of you jp, can you fess up to your aunt and get her to do some of the running around? I've been waking up a lot to pee, finding it hard to get back off to sleep, and having the most weird vivid dreams too. No DCs to run around after as this is my first, and booked the day off work today for my appointment this afternoon, really grateful for the day off.

I might just have to tell my aunt, but thankfully dh will be here as he doesn't work weekends. And I am hoping my aunt will spend more time at my parents house, they just didn't have the room for her to stay.

GinandJazz i'm the same re getting up to wee in the night! Never used to have to at all - now can't get through the night without getting up at least once I thought that started a lot later on (3rd trimester?) but then my DC are 11 and 13 so it's maybe too long ago to remember!

Another one that can't sleep over here, always so exhausted but just never manage a full night. Hot weather not helping of course!

Hey ladies! Sorry been quiet over last few days! Not been feeling the best! This will be my DC1 and 12 weeks scan n 4th Aug also!
Not sure if I want to find out what having, although OH has two girls.

I'm slightly worried about my 12 week scan due to the cubs test, is anyone else worried? Symptoms starting to subside and starting to panic slightly but no cramping or anything? Am I just being anxious? 10+1 weeks today xx

Morning all, sorry to hear some aren't sleeping well. I'm not too bad but am having weird vivid dreams!

Scan just after lunch, quite nervous. Got the day off today as my grandad is visiting so I'm cleaning the house and trying to stay calm. My lovely DH is worried too!

dont worry shellbell my symptoms started to subside last week (I am 11 weeks today) and I panicked a bit but then they've come back again - my boobs really ache all the time, especially at night, and although I had some nausea for a few weeks, it suddenly disappeared although has come back again this morning! I never had any sickness at all with my first 2 DC (very lucky!) I would win any eating competition at the moment - never stop eating! Although haven't put much weight on so baby must be needing it all

Thanks for your message sausagedog I'm so anxious about this wee peanut, went through alot to get here and it's wanted so much! There was a heartbeat when I went for my scan last week so I'm sure all OK... I'm a worrier haha! Nausea has kicked in the now but thinking because I haven't eaten yet..

I'm a natural worrier too shellbell if I have nothing to worry about then I worry about that! Once you have heard a strong heartbeat everything is much less likely to go wrong

I'm good today thanks, rage has subsided for now and I am going for my scan next Wednesday when i'll be 11+5. Can't wait and just hope all goes well. Am going to ring the midwife next week about my awful temper and general miserable behaviour - hopefully she will be able to help me out or refer me to the GP if need be.

ceecee my scan is just after lunch too; will be thinking of you in the waiting room; fx for us both!
sausagedog that's all I'm doing is shovelling food in my face, mostly all morning. Eating a couple of pieces of fruit daily but it's mainly carbs that seem to sort me out. Addicted to sausage sandwiches; think I'm going to give birth to a sausage.

Hey ladies, I've been off a couple of days too - it was my birthday yesterday, which was quite the experience sober! Luckily it was a sunny day so we mooched round in the nice weather and went for dinner in the evening, but it would certainly appear that basically all my previous adult birthdays revolved around booze....

I think friendly had me on the updated list from a few posts back but then I seem to have disappeared off other lists. Anyway, i'm currently - based on what my trusty Iphone app has said at least! - EDD of 11th Feb, with scan on 1st August.

It can't come soon enough - the scan, that is. I'm just such a natural worrier, I want to see that things are there, and real, and ok... just over a week to go, eep.

Just a heads up for you ladies. If you are beginning to think about maternity wear jojo maman Bebe have a good sale on at the moment. I got some tops for £8 each.

I have struggled with finding long length black over the bump maternity jeans (what I need for work) and have ordered some from vertbaudet in the sale as well. Hoping they fit ok as any other tall people will know it's hard getting long length sometimes anyway. Let alone long length maternity wear!!! Long talk Sally had some but at £55 a pair!!! I wasn't going to pay that! I got 3 different pairs from vertbaudet for £44.

I went for my private scan this morning and all is well. It was such a shock to see an actual baby with wriggly arms and legs and a face and not just a little blob. However, I thought I was 10+6 they dated me at 11+4! Which means my EDD is 5th February.

Because of this, I've had to phone to rearrange my NHS dating scan as I'll be too late for the Nuchal scan. So my new 3 month scan is now on 4th August!

Had a good day yesterday, spent the day out shopping, ate 3 normal meals and went to bed at a normal adult time last night. Today, I feel rotten again. Have been sick once already, and I'm currently fighting with my mind to decide if I need to go and throw up or battle through a sandwich instead!

Ifatfirst that's great news! Glad all was well at the scan!!!! As for the feeling rough. Yep I have had that. Wednesday felt great and thought I was finally over the grim first trimester feeling. Yesterday felt awful and was dry heaving everywhere. Gahhhh

divadee I got some Seraphine jeans last time and had to take them up quite significantly, and I'm 5'6 so not short, I usually fit regular length trousers well. So might be a worth a look there.

Thanks twocats. I did have a look at them but there length is 31" and they don't do long length. I need at least 33" booooo to being tall.

Have just been reading through everything....loads going on ladies!

13 weeks today here and having a couple of bleurgh feeling days....frequent peeing is back with a vengeance and can definitely feel a bit of a bulge moving up on my tummy. Leggings are the only way forward!
