Yeah i had a huge hormone invasion today and spent about an hour crying and sobbing because DP said something insensitive to me (men ) its all fine now but I'm feeling very fragile and anxious today.
I'm tired and my DD is being a pain in the arse.
I forget all the early stuff too!

J20BABY · 04/02/2007 14:59

AW BLESS! FLAMING MEN! HOW YOU FEELING NOW?

J20BABY · 04/02/2007 15:37

p.s sorry, just been informed that caps make me shout didn't realise-new to this chatting lark

MrsMcJnr · 04/02/2007 16:48

Happy Sunday ladies our list is really growing isn?t it?

For your dress issue, LissieLou ? pashmina? That?s what I?m going to be relying upon at my friends? wedding in a few weeks, let?s just hope the dress still fits me then. Is it tomorrow you have a scan? Fingers crossed.

Sneaks ? I?ve read that pains like that are fine, I?m getting them too hon Hope you feel much better soon. I am feeling emotional today too, had a bit of a row with DH earlier over something stupid and then felt sad and couldn?t be bothered to do anything for a few hours, that?s not really like me but I do feel really tired and I?m always irrational when I?m tired.

Anyone else having vein pains? The backs of my calves are agony and I have to keep putting my legs up, does not bode well for the next 35 weeks does it!?

Welcome J20Baby congratulations!

Whoops ? you are not alone, I want to keep checking with tests too! I have to hand in a sample tomorrow for the GP to do a test but that doesn?t feel the same as doing it here, feels far more scary somehow.

Congratulations Joandtheboys! Lovely to see you here, hope all goes well for you.

Greedy ? thinking of you having that scan tomorrow. x

KezzaG · 04/02/2007 19:30

Evening everyone, welcome and congratulations to all new members. Its so exciting seeing new names joining all the time.

I have had stitch type pains in my left side too. I remember having them with ds but not until about 14 weeks, but Im thinking that maybe everything stetches and twinges earlier after the first one.

Im also very glad to see some emotion, I am in the mood to cry at everything and it is so embaressing. I went to see Mamma Mia last night for the third time. Only difference is this time I nearly started blubbing at a certain slightly emotional peice, I had to make an effort to think of something else. This baby malarky isnt easy is it

Best of luck to those with scans tomorrow, I hope all goes well.

Sneaks · 04/02/2007 19:32

Ah i feel a lot better now. Myself and DP made up - I dont think he "gets" how hard the first stages of pregnancy are. Do any men?
At least I stopped crying though and my friend is calling up to me this evening for a while and bringing me curry from the chinese. . I dont know why . . but i want it!
I dont know if you would class that as a craving yet?

KezzaG · 04/02/2007 19:36

glad you are feeling better sneaks, its just so horrible when you feel emotional and upset isnt it. I dont think men can understand. No matter how many times I tell my dh how tired/worried/exhausted/emotional etc etc I feel it never seems to go in. He is a very good and supportive dh but, like you say, they can never quite get it.

Hey ho, only another 35ish weeks to go!!!!!

tinytotmummy · 04/02/2007 20:06

Congrats to you Jo .

Sneaks, glad you're feeling better. Men are just soooo insensitive. My DH has man flu and, like a good wifey I have phoned him every day to find out how he is and if he's feeling any better. Has he once asked me how I am? No. When I happened to mention the sickness this morning, all he said was he must be coming down in sympathy!! FGS.

I'd like to see them try nine months of pregnancy - and then do it three times over!!!

tinytotmummy · 04/02/2007 20:08

Oh, and I bet his man flu doesn't stop him going to the pub tomorrow night with his work mates.

Rant over now, btw.

dont worry about the sharp stabby type pains anyone! they are round ligament pains and are really common. they tend to happen when you sit up from lying down, or get up too quick or get out of the car etc.

mrsmc - cos this is your first baby i dont think you shoud get a bump until well into your second trimester. i know everyone is different, but i know from other threads you have said you dont have a perfectly flat stomach to start with! so your bump wont show for a while. with my first baby i didnt start wearing maternity clothes till about 21 wks. with my second it was more like 16 wks and this time it will probably be next week!!! i was desperate to start lookin pg and stop looking ' a bit fat!'. the in between stage where you can see people looking at you thnking 'is she or isnt she?' is the worst! that is when i started wearing all those really sad t- shirts with baby slogans on the front, just so that people knew i was pg and not just fat!

cant believe how many of you are having morning sickness already! i sympathise!

i told my dh i was pg by asking him if our extension would be finished by october when the new baby comes along! he STILL doesnt really believe me that i am. i think once i have had my scan tomorrow, and as long as everything is ok, he might start believing me then!

greedyforbabies · 04/02/2007 20:52

oh yes..............baby clubs! i feel a bit too scared to join any yet, but i musn't forget!

lissielousknockedupatlast · 04/02/2007 21:01

hi all. just ordered some maternity clothes, with ds i was in them full time from 12w, have a feeling that with this one itll be even earlier! caught sight of myself in town earlier and i look 3-4m already!!

MrsBee · 04/02/2007 21:57

Thanks lissielou for showing me this thread

I have just found out today that I'm pg with no2 - very early days for me - AF not due until 8 Feb! But if all stays well I will be due on 18 October 2007! Feeling ok so far, but my boobs are really sore - which was the first clue something was happening! This was our 2nd month trying. DS is aged 2.7 and he will be very excited I think!

Feeling very excited - especially as I was looking through all my old maternity clothes with a friend the other day and feeling all nostalgic!

Sneaks · 04/02/2007 22:42

Does anyone know it pale orange coloured discharge is normal. Very pale orange that is. I'm worried now and I can't find anything on it online.

lissielou · 05/02/2007 07:34

it sounds like old blood honey, if youre worried see your gp.

ejt1764 · 05/02/2007 08:38

bleeeeeuuuuuuuuggggggghhhhhhhh! [pukey emoticon needed here]

If it was just the waves of nausea, I could probably cope - but I suffered with labyrinthitis before Christmas, and that's back too .... feel very spacey - and very, very, very sick.

This is worse than when I was pg with ds ..... had hyperemesis then, but it didn't kick in until I was 8 weeks - I'm 6 weeks today, and feel like death!

Have booked an appointment with doc this am - I know there's nothing she can do, but at least she can sign me off until I stop puking quite so bloody often ... have booked an appointment with acupuncturist for Wednesday - she couldn't fit me in before...

Good luck with scan today lissie ....

Welcome J20 ...

Morning!

Greedy good luck with your scan today

Jo - I have lost my appetite rather than eating more Yesterday at dinner time I realised that I hadn't had lunch which is unusual for me as I'm the first to complain I'm hungry!

Lissie - I am finding a few of my clothes are feeling a bit tight luckily my sister found some of hers out for me!

ejt - feel for you I am only having waves of sickness rather than being sick

Hope you all have a good day

lissielou · 05/02/2007 10:13

scans next week but going to see doc today. started to change ds's nappy today and started throwing up. dh think this is convienient ha!

OP posts:
Sneaks · 05/02/2007 10:34

Hey Lissie thanks for replying to me .. I was really worried. . have googled it for ages and cant find much on it but it seems that unless discharge is bright red or in clots then I've nothing to worry about. Please god anyway.
The fact that i seem to have a constant ache in my inner bits (which is quite possible my bowels either cos I;m a tad constipated) is worrying as well.
Anyway the discharge only happened once last night when I was going to the loo for a ummmm ... well you know ... not a wee

Symptoms: I feel ok today .. a bit queasy constipated and tired with sore boobs!

OOOH Its like a diary

lissielou · 05/02/2007 10:36

i really dont think its anything to worry about, when do you see mw/gp?

OP posts:
ejt1764 · 05/02/2007 10:42

lissie - sorry, thought your scan was today - I've got one next week too - on Monday.

Have just been to doc - she's confirmed what I thought - I've got hyperemesis again, but this time it's compounded by low blood pressure which is why I'm so dizzy when I try to do anything. She's signed me off for a week. Mind you this is good news in a way, as I didn't have this with either of the pregnancies that ended in mc - only with ds. Here's to hoping anyway.

off to try and eat something ...
