The problem with stats is that if you're in the 1% that doesn't have a successful pg, it is irrelevant that the other 99% of people do. I don't think I will really relax until week 14 or so as I had a late m/c, but the stats are helping me to try to stay positive...

Very quiet on this thread (and MN actually) today...

Verso · 26/02/2007 17:31

Thanks for the link Whoops I don't know if we can afford to go and dp gives me a look if I so much as mention paying for a scan after a disasterous thing with dd2 and a 3d scan!!

I want to know though. I need to get mentally prepared and as no-one seems to want to talk to me from the midwives I might as well do it myself!!!

J20BABY · 26/02/2007 20:17

Hi ladies

it seems we're all going through it at the moment!

had a crap day, very sickie, and been at work and college, anyone feeling fluey too?

got more stomach pains, so i rung the epu and they've told me to go in tommorrow, didn't think thet'd be too concerned, but they where really nice.

think i need an early night, hope your all ok, best wishes to you all x

whoopsee · 27/02/2007 06:26

Zephyrcat I'm the same I am getting so many people winding me up about the possibility of it being twins that I'd like to have a scan to be able to put them straight! I think Alex would have something to say about me paying for it too even if I borrowed the money from parents! (dare I ask what happened with the 3d?!)
J20 - hope things go ok at the EPU today
Beanie2bump good luck with your scan today
Hi to everyone and hope you're feeling ok

WinniethePooh · 27/02/2007 08:06

Good morning everyone.

Good luck to those of you with scans today. I hope you get to hear/see what you want.

I was ill ln the way to school yesterday as there was something on the pavement (looked lkike the innards of something). Just one look at it and I was wretching.

Thankfully it was gone by the time I went to collect DD from school at 3.20.

zephyrcat · 27/02/2007 09:59

We'll have to think of something to tell them Whoops so we can go lol

When we went for the 3d scan it was a nightmare! They said that she was lying in an awkward position so couldn't see properly (although I saw her face on the screen)they made us stay there the whole day walking about to try and turn her and tried about 3 times to scan before giving up. We were meant to get photos, a dvd etc etc but we got nothing - not even just a scan picture and then refused to give us any money back(£200)They just said 'these thnings happen and we can't guarantee that we can do it'. I eventually got the money back after lots of letters and calls but I don't think dp would ever let me do it again!

Hillbilly · 27/02/2007 10:02

Hi everyone!
Took a lond time to catch up after not being in here for the weekend.

Hang on in there MrsMcJr, your scan is this Wednesday right?

I am still waiting to see if I am booked in at chosen hospital (Queen Charlotte's). Sent the letter off last Monday and with both prevoious pg's IO had heard in a few days. So I can't even request an early scan until I know what hospital I'm going to. I don't know if this is just a London thing but it's bloody irritating. Scuse me.

Gemmamc - re the exercise, I doin a lot of running but stooped as soon as I got the bfp. Was worried as last pg ended in mc last summer and just don't want to do anything to jeopodise this one. I have started swimming a couple of times a week and resumed yoga too.
Good luck B2B with your scan today.

Congrats to Hairybabymum and Taichimum on your positive scans.

MrsMcJnr · 27/02/2007 10:46

Hello all, glad to hear things are going well with you all . Thank you all for thinking of me, the scan is next Weds 7/3, just in case you wondered why I hadn't checked in tomorrow. Take care and hope to be chatting with you all again soon. Today is my sickest, teariest yet - typical!

Mumpbump · 27/02/2007 11:05

Morning all! Hope all is well with B2B and J20baby and that there is good news...

Feeling knackered and nauseous today. I can't even go to get anything to eat to try to fend it off... Must remember to bring snacks in with me!

I just bought a second-hand Bugaboo Frog. I think I am going to cart no. 2 around in a sling (as I did with ds), but don't like the idea that ds will then be stuck in a buggy, facing away from me and so unable to see me. I couldn't find any other buggies where the babies can face either forwards or backwards which is a real gap in the market! Even second-hand, it's a real luxury for us at the moment, but I hope it will be prove its worth in time...

Verso · 27/02/2007 12:44

The Loola Bebe Confort and Quinny Buzz both let you turn the seat around (I had a Quinny for that reason from about 6 months last time). I'm jealous of your Bugaboo though - been thinking we might get one for the early stages as it's narrower than the Quinny - for shops etc - but still quite cool .

(I had a Graco travel system last time - given to me - very practical but soooooo ugly!)

Will have to sell the Quinny on Ebay though to even begin to afford it!

Mumpbump · 27/02/2007 12:58

Bummer! Should research more thoroughly... I wasn't that keen on a bugaboo because everyone has them around where I live, but it is coming with a carrycot so I am hoping that it will benefit both babies!!

J20BABY · 27/02/2007 18:15

hi everyone, hope your all well, i went for my scan today, and they're saying i'm 9 weeks tommorrow and due on the 3rd Oct now, which is weird, since i went for a scan 2 weeks ago, and they said i was less than 6 weeks, so the baby has grown 3 weeks worth in 2 weeks!

i've put a picture of my scan on my profile thingy if anyone wants a nosy.

the only thing is now i don't get to have my 12 week scan, so i don't get another pic till my 20 week one i'm so greedy

anyway aside from that, i've still got bad sickness, but i've worked out if i snack throughout the day, like crisps and mini eggs, it helps make me feel better, although its every 5 minutes, so i'm kind of grazing, like a cow, i'll look like one by Oct!

hope everyone else is ok x x

WinniethePooh · 27/02/2007 18:21

Fantastic news J2OBaby.

J20BABY · 27/02/2007 18:39

whoopsee · 27/02/2007 18:43

zephyrcat · 27/02/2007 18:46

Fab news J2Obaby!!!

Sorry I disappeared earlier whoops...dp came in!

J20BABY · 27/02/2007 18:50

well i've been 'grazing' all day, and then made a big tea, and got in trouble from my dd for leaving most of it! oh how the tables have turned!

zephyrcat · 27/02/2007 18:50

Gorgeous little pic!!!!

J20BABY · 27/02/2007 18:57

thank you

cant wait to see yours! never seen a twin scan before!

J20BABY · 27/02/2007 19:36

Did i say something wrong?

mandler · 27/02/2007 20:18

Evening all. Haven't been here for a few days, had guests and their three kiddies staying. Learned a lot, mainly that cowering in a corner doesn't make them any quieter! Backache almost gone which is good news. How are you all feeling today?
