ejt1764 · 12/02/2007 12:11

I've seen my baby!

It's in the right place and its heart is beating.

I cried - dh cried - and the sonographer filled up too!!

oh, and apparently I've got beautiful ovaries - she did some pictures of them to put in her log book (I kid you not!)

I know there's a long way to go yet, but I feel like I could conquer the world (as long as I can take my sickbowl!)

ejt

KezzaG · 12/02/2007 12:56

christ I am seriously hormonal......ejt I have just cried at your scan news. Welldone, that is such good news.

thehairybabysmum · 12/02/2007 13:16

Thats fab ejt...v. exciting for you!!

Good to see lots more of us....and i've only been on holiday a week!! Congrats toyou all, especially those from the TTC Feb thread!

Really sorry to hear lissie's news though .

I think i'm 7-8 weeks now...this is the same time as i had a m/c in Nov so feeling a bit twitchy this week. I'm also full of a head cold which is pretty miserable with no remedies...i've been sniffing DS's baby olbas oil but cant even smell it most of the time!

I'm due a scan at thte hospital on 21st feb as when they were scanning me during m/c they think they saw some fibroids...this is a follow up scan and appt. for that. I'm thinking that if i go it will be an early scan of the baby if everything is ok. I'm assuming that it would just be ultrasound scan so would be ok to do this...does anyone know??

greedyforbabies · 12/02/2007 14:26

wow ejt! thats great! i have a scan next monday and i cant wait! when is your scan mrs?
i had a tiny bit of nausea this morning and my boobs are still really sore, but no other symptoms to speak of.

i have told a few people cos i figured i would tell them if something went wrong anyway, so why not tell them. also, i just wanted someone to get excited for me! my dh is still in denial and isn't at all excited which is so different to my other pgs. he wont be ble to come to my scan next week either which is a shame cos that might have got him more involved. oh well! i cant WAIT to tell my kids, but i want to get past 12 weeks first!

StrangeTown · 12/02/2007 15:28

Great news about your scan ejt - must be a big relief.

Not so good news from me. Had some bleeding and cramps today, doc thinks I am having a m/c.

Going for a scan tomorrow, but it is not looking good at all.
Sorry for such a cr*p post - don't really know what else to say.
Best wishes to everyone else
STx

thinking of you

WinniethePooh · 12/02/2007 16:07

ejt - I am crying for you. such brilliant news.

Strange Town - I hope you are wrong and you too see your little one tomorrow.

thehairybabysmum - I too am full of cold, all we can take is paracetemol. So that is what I am doing along with hot honey and lemon. Put lots of honey in a mug, add boiling water and a slice of lemon. I find this really helps me at night.

I hope everyone else is well.

jersey · 12/02/2007 19:44

Hi every one long time no posting as DS1 has had an ear infection and been up all night with him for the last few nights. ST sorry to hear your news and lissie as well. I have been reading the posts but haven't had time to post.

I also don't seem to have many symptons apart from tiredness and the odd slight feeling sick. Keep doing tests to make sure I'm still preg. Awaiting my first appointment with the midwife as we don't see the doctors here.

Wow Buffy 6!!!

Ejt glad your scan went ok.

Who was it wanted a new list? Well I'll start:

Jersey Due 12th October so far no symptons . Awaiting midwife to call.

Minshu · 12/02/2007 23:27

Sorry for jumping in on here, when this message is nothing to do with what it should be. Just wanted to say a huge congratulations and best of luck to MrsMcJnr.

DH and I have decided to go our separate ways and so (obviously) no more ttc. As I am 32 and he is nearly 40, we don't know if either of us will ever be in this situation again. It was something that someone on the positive for December or January boards said - something along the lines of "remember that it's DH's baby you want, not just a baby". Well, maybe I was being shallow and it was just the baby I wanted. Very sad about it, but it must be the right decision after several months of indecision and unpleasantness - wouldn't have been a good environment to bring a baby into. Feel much better now that some old concerns have been brought to the surface.

So pleased for you, MrsMc!!! Always very pleased to hear your voice of reason and optimism on the positive boards. Hope the job situation is going ok and that DH's back is recovering well.

Best of luck to you and everyone else on this thread. xx

ST - keep us posted with news about your scan. good luck.

Mumpbump · 13/02/2007 10:10

I might be joining you on this thread in the not too distant future. I just saw that you're starting a new list. When I was on the July antenatal thread (prior to a m/c), they had a separate statistics thread where everyone posted where they lived, their due date, what number child they were pg with and something about themselves. I don't know if it might be good to do something similar so the list doesn't get lost in all the messages... I don't want to start it because it might be tempting fate...

MrsMcJnr · 13/02/2007 12:17

That's lovely Ejt so pleased for you! how many weeks are you now?

Hi all, feel crap today, headache right between the eyes threatening to turn into a migraine ? anyone know what I should do to relieve it? MS is kicking in I think ? porridge certainly seems to help!

Thehairybabysmum ? hope you feel much better soon and that the nerves lessen as time goes on

Hi Greedy ? not sure about my scan. I am seeing GP on Monday and I?m hoping she?ll book me in for it then. Fingers crossed.

Winnie ? I think your EDD is same as mine (though I still don?t have an appointment with the MW! 07/10/07 sounds quite good doesn?t it!

Minshu ? it?s lovely to hear from you, and thank you for congrtaulationg me, DH and I are so, so happy. I hope it lasts but I do have a good feeling about it all. I am so sorry to hear your news. It must be so sad for you. 32 is still really young, you never know who you?ll meet and what will happen and I hope you get your baby with the perfect man one day soon.

Whoops ? know what you mean about the backache and coffee ? I was the same on Friday.

Hello Mumpbump ? hope you do join us soon I like your idea, I?ll see if anyone has done it. In the meantime, I?ll add myself to the list:

stats thread

MrsMcJnr · 13/02/2007 13:06

Congratulations Ejt!

greedyforbabies · 13/02/2007 13:37

i have my scan on monday mrs! it would be nice if you get yours soon too. i was having cramps and more bleeding yesterday so went into huge panic, but lots of lovely ladies on here have put my mind at rest, so i am trying to stay calm until my next scan! i did ANOTHER pg test yesterday (have you seen my photo in my profile page?) and ...........yes.........i am still pg!

J20BABY · 13/02/2007 13:40

erm greedy i think your pregnant! maybe just one more test to make sure

yes i have looked at your photo!

J20BABY · 13/02/2007 13:42

oops i have posted this message in the stats thread sorry try again...i've just been to the gp and he's booked me in for a scan tommorrow morning, bacause i've got pains and spotting. i'm not allowed to eat drink for 2 hours before and he thinks it will be an internal scan!! now i'm terrified! has anybody had one? does it hurt? i have panic attacks when i have a smear!

greedyforbabies · 13/02/2007 13:49

j20baby - dont panic! i had an internal scan last monday cos i have had quite a bit of bleeding and cramping. dont panic. not sure why you aren't allowed to eat or drink anything!? i have had 4 internal scans now (previous pgs and this one) and they are nothing to worry about! the worst bit is seeing the probe with a condom on! and then when they pull it out there tends to be a bit of suction and a horrible squelching noise...........but that could just be me of course!!!! it REALLY doesn't hurt or anything so dont worry
