.....and now I'm out. Had scan just now and its a miscarriage that hasn't happened yet. Entirely my fault because I took the morning after pill - will never take one of those again, but I was so worried that something was wrong, I am so pleased I know the score. Its a horrid thing, now i just have to wait for it to fall out, which hopefully it will, otherwise I have to have a D and C which I really really dont want. I have never had a general before but also, I would like nature to run its course. So good luck to all you girls who are still pregnant. I will pop into this thread when I get pregnant with my proper number three, which I am hoping will be a girl. Over and out.

WinniethePooh · 09/02/2007 14:31

So sorry to hear your news Widget.

I hope you manage to conceive N0 3 soon.

I have already posted on the the thread about Lissie's eptopoc.

whoopswithminiwhoopstinybump · 09/02/2007 14:37

Hello all,

Widget so sorry to hear that please let us know when you have good news

Yes I saw the news about LIssie was very sad to see that news and hope she is recovering with the help of her boys

manitz · 09/02/2007 14:44

I hadn't realised about lissielou. What terrible news. Hopefully if they are operating the ectopic hsouldn't cause damage.

Widget I'm sorry to hear your news but hope that when you want to you will have a good pregnancy.

Curlygirly · 09/02/2007 16:35

Happy birthday Manitz

WinniethePooh · 09/02/2007 17:00

manitz · 09/02/2007 17:45

Have good weekends.

MrsBee · 09/02/2007 20:27

Really sorry to hear your news WidgetWB. Wishing you lots of luck for a healthy pregnancy in the future.

Also to hear LissieLou's news. I have posted on her thread.

Seems like a dangerous game this pregnancy business am getting all worried now.

Generally feeling ok-ish, still finding the energy still to run around after DS. Have been feeling nauseaus all day though, keep salivating all the time. Can't remember how i felt last time - I did have nausea but I wasn't sick at all. I hope this time its the same. Did a pregnancy test again tonight just to make sure and it was a nice thick, thick blue line. So fingers crossed. DH came home from work with a 'pregnancy survival kit' which consisted of a big box of roses chocolates, 2 boxes of chocolate biscuits and a tin of tuna (ate a whole can the other day! may have a craving thing going on....)!

greedyforbabies · 09/02/2007 21:46

OMG! lissies news has really thrown me. i knew she was having bleeding and has had m/cs before, but i just kind of assumed this pg was going to be ok for her. it makes you realise how fragile and precious our little kidney beans are doesn't it?

greedyforbabies · 09/02/2007 21:59

just read back over some of this thread and i would like to contribute on boys and girls bits and nappy changing!!!!!
i have found that my ds used to wee everywhere as soon as his nappy was taken off, but it normally got me or the curtains so at least i didnt have to change his clothes. whereas when dd weed after taking her nappy off it just kind of pooled round her back and soaked through everything.

AND i would much rather change a boys pooey nappy than a girls. girls have too many folds, creases and crevices for poo to get into....yuk!

WinniethePooh · 10/02/2007 14:06

How is everyone today?

I have got a queasy tummy again, but an fine apart from that.

I hope you all have a good weekend.

yawningmonster · 10/02/2007 23:39

I am sorry I haven't read all of the thread but wanted to add to the hearts and thoughts going out to lissie.

I think I can join the thread had a very faint positive on day 9 after ovulation and a clearer line on day 10. Didn't have symptoms this early last time but am already have a bit of nausea.

This will be no. 2 if all goes well...so scared reading what can happen and at the same time so pleased for all who are having a good experience and have at last concieved their little ones...

all the best to everyone

MrsBee · 11/02/2007 08:33

Welcome to the thread yawning monster and congratulations! Its so sad to hear lissies news isnt it. I hope she is recovering well, physically at least.

We're planning on telling our families the news today! We told DS last night and he seemed quite excited. I think we're going to get DS to announce it to everyone, by announcing that he is going to be a big brother. Has everyone else told people yet? I feel really nervous about it! I think everyone is going to be worried about how we can afford it, even we don't know how it will work out, but you just manage don't you?

whoopswithminiwhoopstinybump · 11/02/2007 09:05

Congratulations yawningmonster!

I too was shocked to hear what had happened to Lissie and have found it hard to post on here the last few days

MrsBee - we told dd & ds and they do seem to be telling everyone! My Mum didn't think we should have told them but they would have only kept on jumping on me! I think most of my family knows now! There are only 2 people at work that don't know but they don't need to at the moment although they are the 2 that stress me out the most!

I still haven't had that many pregnancy symptoms which does worry me I am seeing the doctor on Wednesday so may see if I can get a scan to check everything is ok as I don't know if I could wait another 5 weeks

ejt1764 · 11/02/2007 18:14

Hi yawning monster - congratulations and welcome ...

We've told a few people - through necessity rather than anything else - I am leader for our Sunday School, and cancelled last Sunday as I felt too crappy to move ... then our rector phoned to check I was ok, so I told him (need all the help I can get), then had to tell one of the other mums so that she could take over from me for today ...

As a result of that, we told our neighbours / closest friends yesterday - they had guessed already!

We have our scan tomorrow - at 10.30. It's going to be interesting as that's peak time for puking for me.

I'll let you know how we get on ... here's praying to see a heartbeat!

ejt

MrsBee · 11/02/2007 19:10

good luck for your scan tomorrow ejt. hope everything is ok and you can see the little prawn swimming about in there!

well, we told our families today. my parents seemed the most surprised, perhaps because we see them the most and they hadn't even guessed? we got ds to tell them all by announcing that he was to be a big brother. quite exciting! I'm not very good at keeping secrets, especially happy ones, so I'm glad the people closest to us know now. Not sure what to do about work, although I'm going out to dinner with my closest colleague, who is also my kind-of boss, and I think she will guess when I don't drink.....

Curlygirly · 11/02/2007 20:31

Congratulations yawningmonster and good luck for tomorrows scan ejt.

Told some relatives on my side this weekend. Responses ranged from shock to 'are you mad?' One relative was very annoying cos she reckoned she knew ages ago and was dancing round shouting 'I knew it'. Why do some people have to steal my moment for themselves?

yawningmonster · 12/02/2007 00:27

hope all was well with the scan ejt.

with telling people how far along are you all?

i am due on 24th October a month to the day after ds turns 3.

It is still extremely early for us and am too scared to jinx things by telling people though I do have some nausea and sore boobs so hopefully that is a good sign.

whoopswithminiwhoopstinybump · 12/02/2007 06:49

Good luck with your scan today ejt
Yawningmonster I am about 7 weeks I find it hard to keep quiet also ds & dd know so like Mrsbee they have a habit of telling people!
Curlygirly I told my uncle on saturday he told me that we were sleeping too close together

yawningmonster · 12/02/2007 06:59

I forgot about the time delay between here and there, Monday is almost over for us...ejt I have been waiting for news and totally blanked that it has been land of nod hours over there!!

It is hard to keep quiet isn't it whoops but that is why I am finding mn great, I can blab all I like to you lot and don't mind the very few people who I know in real life that are here knowing for the benefit of having people to talk to about it all, dh is next to useless until he starts actually feeling the baby then he starts getting excited.

MrsJohnCusack · 12/02/2007 07:08

yawningmonster just saw your name pop up on this thread in active convos - congratulations!

yawningmonster · 12/02/2007 07:12

thank you, it is very early days but cross fingers, toes and any other crossable body parts...

KezzaG · 12/02/2007 10:18

I havent been on here for a couple of days as I have been feeling unwell, and I feel like I have lost track of it! Could all the new comers add their stats to the list so people like me with the memory of a goldfish can keep up

I have had aching joints, coughing, upset stomach, extreme tiredness etc etc. I know that this is probably just early pg plus a nasty dose of whatever winter bug is going round but my paranioa has reached new heights. Please tell me lots of stories of bugs and flu completely unrelated to pg just to reassure me.

I cannot get my first ante natal appointment with dr until 26th Feb. It seems like so long away!

ejt, you have your scan in about 10 minutes, I hope it went well.

buffythenappyslayer · 12/02/2007 10:38
