Come and join the mass of hormones swirling around - there's room for plenty more!

Curlygirly · 08/02/2007 16:01

Thanks ejt! Phone hasn't rung all day and anyone I have phoned has either been out or too busy to chat. Feel like their lives must be more ineresting than mine today.

Feeling paranoid and hormonal. Lethal combo!

ejt1764 · 08/02/2007 16:07

join the club .... (the paranoid and hormonal club that is ...) my hormones are not making me snappy - they're making me puke and have to go to bed at 8.30!

Curlygirly · 08/02/2007 16:13

Have managed to avoid the puking part but wandering around looking 4 months pregnant. Already gone up a jeans size.

ejt1764 · 08/02/2007 16:20

Have gone into my 'comfier' clothes - I lost a lot of weight last year, and am very glad I didn't ebay all my big trousers!

Am finding clothes that are tight around my waist very puke-making. yuk!

MrsMcJnr · 08/02/2007 16:21

What a small world Ejt!

I'm feeling shattered this afternoon, really can't be bothered to do my work. Beginning to feel a bit queasy I think too. Funny how the paranoia spreads to all things .. I fin myself imagining that all my colleagues dislike me (well, I hope I am imagining it! )

manitz · 08/02/2007 16:23

Hi it's only cos my friend has newby boy and it seemed to all leak out of his nappy all the time. Generally scared of their bits having had two girls. Trying not to think too much about it in case it turns out I'm not. will know for sure tomorrow/monday.

ejt1764 · 08/02/2007 16:27

manitz - baby boys' weeing is like having a fire hose to control when let loose, and whn enclosed you have to make sure it's pointing down, or nappies will leak. My mum made that mistake at first (I'm one of 2 girls, my cousins are all girls), as she'd never changed a little boy's nappy!

now, if I were to have a dd, I'd be terrified of little girls' bits - doesn't the poo get stuck inside? how much do you wipe? at least with a boy it's all on show!

MrsMcJnr · 08/02/2007 16:34

I haven't got a clue either way - I have 2 small nephews and don't imagine my nappy changing is up to much i'm good at reading stories and bathing though! Get very excited when I think about what it will be like to have my own newly bathed baby to sniff

Curlygirly · 08/02/2007 16:36

I wouldn't know what to do if I have a girl this time.
I've already resigned myself to a lifetime of my toilet smelling of wee!

ejt1764 · 08/02/2007 17:57

Before I had ds, I had never changed a nappy ... and I managed - with a little help from the midwives!

The fact that mum had had years of experience with nappies (with me and my sister) made it all the funnier when she got it wrong with ds, and couldn't understand what the problem was ... she kept muttering about sub-standard nappies

KezzaG · 08/02/2007 18:28

evening all and hello to Manitz.

Reading this about boys wee has made me laugh. I was shocked when ds did his first sprinkler wee all of me and him. I also remember being in hospital and me and dh rinigng the buzzer for the midwife because ds had done a poo and we didnt know how to change a nappy. How , but she was fine and said all new parents did stuff like that. I'll never forget how stupid I felt!

I am feeling very pleased today as I have sore boobs and every morning my nose is blocked and when I blow it it is bloody. Gross I know but I had this throughout my pg with ds but not with my 2 mc so I am taking this as a good sign.

Did Lissie get to her scan today with all the snow??

tinytotmummy · 08/02/2007 18:42

LOL at boys wees!! We (well me really) often do a lot of hysterical screeching at my DS who still sits down to do a wee - first thing in the morning it goes everywhere! He sometimes comes home from nursery in a complete change of clothes having managed to get everything wet! Not yet taken the plunge with DD, was going to this week but she is poorly again (I think with another ear infection).

MrsM, sorry to hear of your experience in M and S, how rude!

Congrats to you Manitz

Sneaks · 08/02/2007 19:02

Evening girls.. well me and DP had a bit of a heart to heart and smoothed things over last night thankfully so all is well again (for now anyway LOL ) its just so hard because I cant speak to him face to face iykwim.
I'm feckin soooooooooooo tired today and been really sick this afternoon - everything is making me gag. I cant even get something out of the fridge without feelin sick from smelling the garlic bread in there!

StrangeTown · 08/02/2007 20:13

That's good news Sneaks - glad you're feeling better.

KezzaG · 08/02/2007 20:30

Well done Sneaks. You need to be together to have proper cuddles and chats really dont you.

I just saw lissies news, so sad for her.

imreadyforababy · 08/02/2007 21:37

HI

I'm a newbie to this thread, I got my bfp yeserday, i'm soo pleased.

I'm all ready feeling very sick and my boobs are agony but i'm not complaining.

This is my first child so its all very new to me, so please be ready for lots of questions.

Haven't worked out my due date yet thought it was best to leave that to doctors. Got my first appointment on 15th Feb just to see what happens next

I'm off to bed, really sleepy too.

Night to you all x

KezzaG · 09/02/2007 08:41

Congratulations Imready, Im so glad there are some first timers on here. I wish I had had MN when I was pg first time round.

Welcome to the rollercoaster!

WidgetWB · 09/02/2007 08:51

I'm in too! Due 4th Oct if its a viable pregnancy. Its been one huge mistake and balls up from beginning to end! The NHS have lost blood, the doctors have no idea about HCG levels and told me they were too high when infact they were too low so now having had the life scared out of me too many times I am being given another scan today at some time. This is number 3 for me and I'm in Hampshire. It started off with me taking the morning after pill coz number two is only 1 and number 1 is only 2 so a bit close and thought would wait longer. Because I took it, I then needed to check so stupidly had a scan privately at 4 weeks which ofcourse showed nothing but scared the life out of me which lead to HCG levels which are now too low so they are worried, hence scanning today. So will let you know if I can continue on this thread this afternoon. Congratulations to all.

KezzaG · 09/02/2007 09:08

Hi Widget, and congrats to you too. Looks like I am the only one around this morning!

What a worrying time for you, you just dont need the stress do you. Good luck this afternoon. If it all goes well you will have to add your stats to the list (its somewhere a hundred or so messages below)

I love to hear stories of people having 3 as that is what I want.

totallyfloaty35 · 09/02/2007 09:18

Congrats to you all,i was on the Due Oct 2006 and cant believe time has flown by so fast,my dd is almost 4months old now.Goodluck to you all and i hope you have happy healthy pg and babies

manitz · 09/02/2007 09:34

Hi thank you for your totally unreassuring comments re boys - never mind am just finding ways to be pleased if no. 3 is another girl - dh really wants a boy as he's feeling a bit outnumbered. HA ha spect it's a girl again.

Widget I hope you get what you want for the scan today.

I'm feelig a bit more + about my pg as I wasn't sure but today is the last possible day for my period so I'm pretty sure. I shall be spending yet more money on tests to double check. Hoping for a bfp (as opposed to the little wimpy p's I've had so far) as a lovely birthday pressie(Im 34 today)-(it's due on Dhs birthday) as Im a bit timebound by work. Would have to leave when dd goes to school anyway so great to leave with a bit of maternity pay. SO mercenary...

WidgetWB · 09/02/2007 10:48

...and so it now turns out that there may not be a scan today at all! Why are the NHS so intent on making me terrified adn then just mess me around?! Will let you know...

Taichimum · 09/02/2007 12:18

Have you guys heard what has happened to Lizzielou? There is a post from her husband under Pregnancy called 'Lissie - Ectopic Pregnancy'.
Poor thing

ejt1764 · 09/02/2007 12:23

taichi - it's just horrible ... what a bloody sh$tty thing to have happened!
