oh my god this thread moves quickly!
had my scan today and everything looked normal for the 5+4wks that i am! i was hoping they would be able to see a heartbeat and reassure me more, but i guess i will have to wait until my next scan for that (hopefully) which is in 2 weeks time.

hope all you sicky women are managing to keep some food down.

whoopswithminiwhoopstinybump · 05/02/2007 19:31

Fab news greedy!

greedyforbabies · 05/02/2007 19:32

mrs bee - my midwife didnt see me till 16 wks last time! now that felt like an eternity! i was practically halfway through! every area is different isnt it? if you ring them tomorrow you will prob be late anyway by the time you get an appt. (if your surgery is anything like mine!)

J20BABY · 05/02/2007 19:32

mrsbee, i went to the gp 2 days after i found out and he asked him if i'd took my pg test with me! i said no, so he took a sample of wee, and said he'd refer me to the hospital, and he'd see me at 16 weeks. so i say go whenever you get chance

greedyforbabies · 05/02/2007 19:32

aaaahhhh! thanks whoops!

MrsMcJnr · 05/02/2007 20:19

Greedy posted for you on the other thread - what can I say hon? I am just so delighted for you x

Mrs Bee, I went to see my GP when I was 4 weeks and she told me to put in a sample today (5+1) and call for the results tomorrow. If they are positive (if... they will be won't they girls? ) then I am to book an appointment then with the midwife. I am seeing GP again at 7 weeks to be referred for an early scan as I had bleeding before getting my result. I did get the impression that she thought I was there too early last week.

Can anyone tell me where you get the form you need to get your dental check ups free? I have an appointment next week.

whoopswithminiwhoopstinybump · 05/02/2007 21:23

MrsMc - I went to the dentist last week they didn't need to see anything just asked my due date

lissielou · 05/02/2007 22:15

tinytotmummy · 05/02/2007 23:03

calling in just before I go to bed... would have been on earlier but dd decided to wake up at 9pm and has only just gone back to sleep. She decided she hadn't watched enough tv today, and needed to catch up

lol lissie, I ordered maternity clothes over the weekend. My belly is fat to start with though, so I just look porkier!! Who eat all the pies...

greedy, sooo pleased your scan went well

tinytotmummy · 05/02/2007 23:05

forgot to ask, with the dentist thing, is that just if you're NHS, or can you get free check ups if you're private as well?

lissielou · 06/02/2007 08:51

just nhs checks.

feel ill again today and the mood swings are coming along nicely

OP posts:
whoopswithminiwhoopstinybump · 06/02/2007 09:10

Lissie - dh told me this morning I looked about 8 months pg

MrsMcJnr · 06/02/2007 09:31

Hello at those looking pg!! Re private dentists, there is some element free/reduced I think, ask them (nothing to lose!) Nervous about my test results - crazy I know but I can't help it. How am I going to work today!?

lissielou · 06/02/2007 09:57

bleedings started again. theyve bought my scan forward to thurs morning now. so angry. its my own fault for ordering maternity clothes. should really know better by now

OP posts:
tinytotmummy · 06/02/2007 10:23

you ok lissie? I'm sure things will be fine. Long wait till thursday when you're worried

whoopswithminiwhoopstinybump · 06/02/2007 10:24

Oh no Lissie - sit down and rest
Mrs Mc - dh was refering to my layers of fat rather than looking pregnant!
Good luck with your results but of course it will be positive!!

lissielou · 06/02/2007 10:24

its not much, but its still there

OP posts:
whoopswithminiwhoopstinybump · 06/02/2007 10:26

lissie if it is just when you wipe I wouldn't worry too much I had that quite a lot with ds & dd

greedyforbabies · 06/02/2007 13:12

lissie sorry to hear that. i am still spotting so we can spot together!

mrs - when you see the midwife you will fill in all your forms and get your nhs exemption card a few weeks after that. it lasts until a year after birth! good hey! (it used to at least!) just tell them at the dentist you are pg and you havent got your card yet cos its early days. i am sure it will be fine.

cant believe some of you have a bump already! WOW! not sure if i am jealous or not!

ejt1764 · 06/02/2007 15:38

Hi ladies,

Greedy - really good news about the scan - here's hoping the next 2 weeks don't drag too much.

Mrs Bee - I saw my GP as soon as possible after I knew - and booked to see the midwife the week after. Ther reason was that I wanted a referral to the EPAU - which I got because of my history ... I was referred to as 'anxious' (felt like saying 'no sh$t, sherlock!')

Have done as told by everybody today - stayed in bed late, sat and watched crap tv, didn't do anyhting strenuous like sitting up to type messages on the computer - and am now feeling paranoid as I don't feel as crappy as I did yesterday. All sorts of wierd and wonderful things are going through my head - that's what watching daytime tv does to you!

Never mind - only 6 days til my scan - but only 3 days until I'm at the same date as the 1st time I mc ...

see you later,

ejt

Sneaks · 06/02/2007 16:19

I am so tired today that the fact that I havent been able to rest at all due to the pressure of being a lone parent to a 3year old have nearly sent me over the edge.
I am craving sleep here.I'm white as a ghost..havent really felt sick at all today and managed to eat a good lunch and just had a cup of ovaltine and a bicky there to try and boost my energy.
Lissie I hope that everything will be ok for you.
I can't help being really really anxious all the time myself. hormones aren't helping i guess.
I wish this week would just be over and done with.. and the next one.. and the next one..

MrsMcJnr · 06/02/2007 16:45

Lissie, hope you are ok hon and you too Sneaks, hope you feel better soon. Just popping on quickly to tell you that my GP's surgery have lost my test or test results or both ........ggrgggggggggrrrrrrr . They have done this to me before for a different test too. I gave the receptionist hell (she deserved it, she was being really condiscending). She told me to try again tomorrow feel sick and none of it is due to being pregnant! I'm at work at the mo but I'll come back for a catch up later!

lissielou · 06/02/2007 18:53

still bleeding, no heavier no lighter. dh is being worse than useless, hes practically saying that im enjoying the drama. and just beacause some women get morning sickness it doesnt mean i have to. im so so pissed off with him, just when i need him he lets me down ...... AGAIN.

OP posts:
Curlygirly · 06/02/2007 19:17

oh lissie, sending you a big hug.

When I said to dh I wasn't looking forward to getting all fat again, he said at least when I am fat, I don't moan about being cold! Cheek.

jersey · 06/02/2007 19:25

Re midwife appointments, last time and this I just rang to be put on the midwifes list. She will make an appointment for when I am 8 weeks. Not once have I had to take a test I was told all three times that there wasn't point in re testing as the tests we use are the same as theirs.

They seem to just take your word for it.

Good luck to those having early scans.
