Ok finally managed to put up some pictures on my profile for you nosey lot! Will be taking them off soon though, cause some of them have other people in. Mind I've only made them available to the people on this thread so might just leave them on..... Something to ponder over today!
Was woken up at 4 by all the drunks getting back to their flats and can't get back to sleep, boo hoo. Not in too much pain atm which is nice. Midwife showed me how to get out of bed etc always keeping my knees together, very ladylike and proper. Not me at all!!! She didn't mention anything about physio though, maybe she's waiting to see if it gets worse before suggesting it.
She also had a feel of Lotte and I heard her heartbeat agin, i swear it sounds stranger every time, and all was good - cheered me right up!
Back on later, going to go make another bacon sarnie and watch some........black books

Frenchsmallfry · 28/01/2007 10:05

Lovely pic's LWatkins, how much older than you is your big sister? Having a spooky moment.

Off out for a walk with ds on his bike today, need to get out, nothing happens in France on a Sunday. There is a nice lake about half hour from here with a kids play area and nice paths all about it so going to kill a few hours there, other wise I'll sit on here all day and it is not helping my sore coxex (sp?]. Think my baby may arrive with a squashed head too if I stay here for too long.

Have a good Sunday all, lg&t hope you get a more peaceful day with no dt's.

Morning all, i woke after quite a good nights sleep to disaster

Jonah had got scissors from somewhere and hacked lumped out of his hair

HERE

I am devastated, cried for about an hour, dh had to calm me down. He looks awful, not sure what to do, am off to a big country park today for a picnic with my friend and her 2 boys. Will put a hat on him and decide what to do next.

What the hell is going on at the moment, feel like in target practice. Sorry more doom and gloom.

Shame really as had great dreams last night, random stuff but dh in all of it AND Krispy Kremes........oh sweet heaven. Shame i woke up really.

Have fun in bed with your bacon and black books Lwatkins and have fun at the lake FSF. See you all later xxx

twelveyeargap · 28/01/2007 10:49

You look gorgeous LWatkins!

LG&T Poor you! He still looks very cute. There was a thread yesterday Hair Disaster where someone's DD did
worse than this (IMO). Honestly, I understand why you're so upset, but it's not so bad. It will probably need to be shortened elsewhere so it's less obvious, but he's still a gorgeous little thing. He's not Samson!

Lwatkins · 28/01/2007 11:32

Oh Lg&t can totally undersatnd why your so about the hair incedent. My little sister watched a film called drop dead fred (starring rik Mayal) when she was about 3, and at her young and shall we say impressionable (sp) age copied everything the film did. This included cutting her hair, it was beautiful and quite long. My mum walked into her room to find her holding a big pair of scissors with her hair everywhere! This was the final incedent (of which there were many and all equally vile) and the film was destroyed within minutes!!! My sister was constantly mistaken for a boy unitl it grew back, and even now when we bring the subject up my mums face sobers. In her words 'still not funny yet!', despite it happening like, 10/11 years ago! It broke my mums heart.
FSF my sister is 5 years older than me, she'll be 25 in may just before the baby is born and i'll have turned 20! She's getting ready to go travelling round Australia and New Zealend for 2 months at the begining of Febuary, i'm gonna miss her so much but she said she'd send me a postcard with a kowala (sp) bear on it so
TYG, can i employ you on a regular basis for feel good comments, oooo i like you!!!!
Managed to get in a couple more hours sleep and have woken up unbelievably thirsty, which i'll regret as i'm peeing every 5 minutes as it is - minus the extra fluid build up! Bacon sarnie was soooo good, pondering what to have now. I feel like a mass eating machine atm!

ShowOfHands · 28/01/2007 12:47

Morning all! (actually it's probably afternoon, only just got up),

I'm loving seeing pictures of everybody although I must ask Lwatkins to refrain from posting any more pictures depicting how young and lovely looking she is. Bought DH Dylan Moran's most recent stand-up btw and it's as good as Monster! I feel a bit hag-like today. LG&T, your hair is fab although I think we need to see your face properly. AM, your ds is so cute. FSF you and DH look exceedingly cool. I haven't been skiing for ages- DH refuses to try it so we haven't been since we got married. What did you think I look like btw?

Had a horrendous night last night, probably of my own making. Mathilda barely moved yesterday and I was in a bit of a panic about it. I checked her heartbeat with my doppler at about 10pm and it was strong but she still hadn't moved for hours. We went to bed and I fell asleep until 2am when I woke up in another panic because usually I would have felt her move at least once in the night by that time. I got up, made tea, ate a digestive biscuit, brushed my teeth (no idea why, thought the vigorous movement might wake her), cleaned the bathroom and got myself into an increasingly worse state. By 4pm I was sitting slumped on the bathroom floor in floods of tears convinced that the worst had happened. DH appeared in the doorway saying that my crying had woken him. He tucked me up under a duvet (still on the bathroom floor) and went to get the phone to call the midwife. At this point Mathilda decided to wake up and do some back flips. Obviously we didn't call the midwife and she's been very active since, but I didn't get back to sleep until 7am and had terrible dreams.

Form an orderly queue now if you wish to slap me for being so stupid.

DH is very full of himself this morning after reading that a couple of you said he was ok looking. He thinks he's hideous! I'm biased, but clearly I think he's lovely.

Anyway, I must go and eat something and have some stern words with the bump about not scaring me like that.

ShowOfHands · 28/01/2007 12:50

My goodness, just seen Hugs' hair. The naughty little boy. And you poor thing LG&T. My brother cut my hair when I was little and my Mum almost had a coronary. It will grow back and very quickly but you must be so devastated. Those curls! Get it evened up a bit, hide all scissors and it'll have grown back by summer.

Have a big, sleep-deprived ((((((hug))))))

Creena · 28/01/2007 15:03

SOH - I know exactly how you feel. I noticed that bobba was very quiet this week and not moving about at usual times. I put it down to the fact that I've been really busy at work - travelling around and in and out of meetings all day long - and maybe this had quieted bobba down a little or I might have just not noticed it as much, being preoccupied with work and all. I started to get worried by Friday as things still seemed too quiet in there but, by Friday afternoon, it all 'kicked off' again. Bobba has been making up for lost time ever since!

I can't seem to see any of these photos you're all refering to at all! Is it another club within the May club and you have to be given access or something? Oh well - guess I'll have to use my imagination and guess what the photos looked like!

Frenchsmallfry · 28/01/2007 15:14

lg&t, oh poor you, Hugs I can't believe what you have done to your beautiful curls. I would have been the same, it would devestate me too if either of mine ever do it. Does his hair grow fast?

SOH, We had an English teacher at school and I had a vision you were like her. Tall, slim, shoulder length dark tight curly 80's hair, she had big rimmed glasses on which she wore on the end of her nose. She was quite a nice lady, VERY stern and you NEVER got one over on her, she knew exactly what we were all doing all the time. Why I thought you'd look like her when you are younger than me, I have no idea. It wasn't a bad image I assure you, just different. Not many Librarians are gorgeous.

LW, your big sister is not who I thought it might be, they look alike but this girl will be the same age as me and her surname was Watkins, she was head girl at our senior school.

AM hope you and J are Ok, is dh finishing that painting?

Well, we had a nice walk at the lake, but my bump really ached by the time we got back to the car, anyone else suffering like that, you ladies on your feet all day? Or are you used to it and it's just that normally I don't move further than the desk - kitchen - loo - desk - loo - sofa - kitchen - loo -bed, get the gist.

notsolilKel · 28/01/2007 15:15

Just catching up on some profiles - LW love your shorter haircut!! And on the subject, LG&T, maybe this is insensitive but TBH I don't think Hugs' hair looks that bad, really!! Sort of cool, actually

Frenchsmallfry · 28/01/2007 15:17

Creena, you are definatey on my list, are you clicking on the see pictures bit at the very bottom of the profile page? Do you get a message when you try to view them if you are?

Hello all!
Have just made home-made spaghetti bolgnase (sp) from scratch and it's sooooo good, even if i do say so myself! Trying to type and eat it on the other hand - not so good and very messy! Whooops!
Don't know what's wrong with me, i have just cleaned the entire kitchen and living area. And i don't mean just a polish and a bit of hoovering - i mean CLEANED! It looks all brand new as if nobody has lived in it. Walked into the kitchen earlier, and it was so vile. Now i'm not perfect and i can be messy, but i'm a very very clean person and i cant stand dirt, especially other peoples! And maybe it's just me but being pregnant, the thought of preparing and cooking a meal in such a minging kitchen and then eating the food, well it makes me physically cringe! So i cleaned it all, and it's spotless. It wasn't my mess or my dirt but was so looking forward to my spag bog tonight, and i like cooking, that i just had to do it. Just you watch mind, i'll be on here 9am tommorrow telling you all how some bugger has messed it all up! Flippin students!

largeginandtonic · 28/01/2007 16:35

Hello all, feeling calmer. Walked round the lovely country park, fab for kiddies and adults. Took a little while to get there but worth it. Bump does ache a bit now though FSF, not used to 2 such big walks in 2 days! Am soooo unfit at the moment.

Am going to take Jonah (not Hugs) to see the hairdresser after school tomorrow to see what she can do, am still upset but nothing i can do about it. He said he wanted to look like a Dude.... whatever that is?!

SOH im sure that will be the first of many panics, dont worry and never ignore them. Mummies are usually right about their babies. Obviously more often than not we are like crazed neurotics....

Am having lovely cup of tea and jammy dodgers, still thinking about KK's from my dream last night.

ShowOfHands · 28/01/2007 16:36

Oh God that brings back nightmares Lwatkins! I used to clean our shared kitchen every Sunday. It took hours and was such an enormous task and by Wednesday it would look like a rubbish dump again. Nobody emptied the bin, the floor was perpetually sticky, there would be rotting food and dirty plates everywhere. One night a drunken flatmate stuck every shoe he could find to the wall with superglue. Oh it was horrific.

And there was one shower and two toilets for 11 of us. Not nice.

FSF, very amusing the image you had of me. I suppose you would think that. On paper I am a prudish, bookish academic librarian who likes photography and folk music. Even I forget I'm only 26!

ShowOfHands · 28/01/2007 16:37

DH has eaten two pieces of bounty cake this morning, all while mumbling 'ooh look what Internet Lady sent me'. Cheeky bugger.

ShowOfHands · 28/01/2007 16:39

Sorry about the posting frenzy. Lwatkins, forgot to say that my midwife gave me a phone number so that I could self refer to an obstetric physio. Could you ask if your hospital has a similar facility to see if you can get some SPD help?

ShowOfHands · 28/01/2007 17:47

Just for tonight I have added another photo to my profile which you may find amusing considering you all seem to think I am some kind of pornographic librarian.

If you look very carefully you can spot my dog collar and whip!

It was a student endeavour... I'm grown up now...

aprilmeadow · 28/01/2007 17:56

J has got his temperature back today, but is still far better than Friday.

Dh hasnt completed the painting as he had rehearsals today for his part in the panto as the MUTE gorilla [hmmm]

Had MIL over for lunch as it is dh's birthday tomorrow.

Not really done much else other than buy a lampshade for both kiddies rooms. £26 EACH from M&P. The only palce i could find nice ones for kids.

SOH, sorry to hear that Mathilda gave you a scare last night, i hope that she continues to kick away at your insides to keep you from worrying. BTW very glamourous new piccie!

ShowOfHands · 28/01/2007 18:03

ROFL at mute gorilla. So not one of those loquacious gorillas then...

largeginandtonic · 28/01/2007 18:34

OOOOO nice photo SOH!!!!! Magazine you ran, sounds glamorous.....

Also ROFL at Loquacious gorilla, ive had a conversation with many in my time i will have you know, then again my main source of conversation is people with an average age of 5 and the occasional pot plant.....

Have squash and sweet potato roasting in the oven for my tea, what shall i have with it?

Frenchsmallfry · 28/01/2007 18:41

AM sorry to hear J has his temparature back and LO VERY L at C's mute gorilla. He's going to kill you for mentioning that one. hehe

Picture looks fab SOH, you do have dark hair, see it wasn't all in my imagination, Looks alot lighter in your wedding photo's. Glad Mathilda showed you wrong in the end last night. See, they are sent to try us and lead us into sheer panic before they even arrive. She is just preparing you for the rest of your life.

Just had roast dinner, beef and yorkies, didn't have much as was saving room for dessert............... Spotted dick!!!!!!! Yumm my absolute favorite with sugar and butter on top- anyone dares to mention custard with it and I may scream

Looking forward to top gear tonight- anyone else a fan??? Think? Richard Hammond is back, [droole emotion]

OP posts:
ShowOfHands · 28/01/2007 18:43

Not glamorous at all, hard work but good fun. Thought the photograph would amuse you!

Loquacious gorillas, hmm, yes I think I've met a few when out past a certain hour. The sort you have to slip down the food chain in order to communicate with.

Sweet potato and squash, yummy. Wot no spinach though? I'm having chicken, spicy rice and veg. And last piece of bounty cake to finish.

God, did you know I'm having a baby? Sometimes it hits me...

Frenchsmallfry · 28/01/2007 18:44

What are you suggesting lg&t? Thought we were all friends.

OP posts:
ShowOfHands · 28/01/2007 18:47

Spotted dick is divine. As is bread and butter pudding made by DH but has to be with custard I'm afraid. In fact just custard on its own. Can you have custard with bounty cake? I wonder...

My hair was dark then, my hair has been a lot of colours. I used to be very, very blonde until I started dyeing it and now it is brown. And I wear specs. Your image wasn't completely wrong.

Didn't know Top Gear was back on tonight. Do love Richard Hammond in a sort of short way.

Frenchsmallfry · 28/01/2007 18:49

PMSL at the "sort of short way" hehe

yes 8pm, just checked and he is back on with fotage of his accident too.
