Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
aprilmeadow · 27/01/2007 19:56

aprilmeadow · 27/01/2007 20:00

That was the one and only time I went skiing. Faired reasonably well as am tiny so low centre of gravity. Was starting (very slow) parallel turns by day 5 or 6, which instructor told me was good. No doubt I will be back on the nursery slope if I ever go again. Pic was taken at the top of Whistler mountain near Vancouver. GREAT place for a first timer as there are service roads all the way down the mountain, which become the easy runs in the winter. I hear there are few places a beginner can ski from the top of the mountain right down. Ooh and we could ski off the mountain down a little track to our house and people had made mini-jumps on the track. THAT was cool.

I presume I don't need to point out that I don't usually look like I did on my wedding day... That "look" was acheived with body wraps, glycolic face peel, fake tan, professional makeup and hair... It took DAYS! The "just got off a ski lift look" is more like how I usually appear!

twelveyeargap · 27/01/2007 20:16

GREAT pics FSF! You look brilliant. DH looks fab. Where was that?

BTW - had to laugh at your occupation on your profile - sorry! You're a SHAM instead of SAHM. Is that prophetic?

largeginandtonic · 27/01/2007 20:16

Bloody hell, took me ages to catch up with you all!

TYG and SOH you are both stunning! Look at you all smiley and pretty in your lovely wedding dresses, am very SOH your DH is soooo scrummy, lucky you! I think yours looks like David Arquette too TYG! Your dd is sooo pretty too.

SOH when dh is home im gonna get him to run you off a copy of Cassanova, mild with nuns. If nothing else you will PYSL form begining to end

LWatkins you can have physio for SPD, it might work quite well. Im sure the midwife explained there are ways you can get in and out of bed etc to make it easier and not aggravate the problem.

FSF i have SEEN you.......of course i thought you looked lovely so have no idea why on earth you would want a stand in for your photo....

I did got to the beach, marched them all the way to end and back. Stopped at the shop and got some coke, when we got home it was dark!

The twins dad has just phoned and he is going to take them to London tomorrow to see the Natural History Museum. He is picking them up in a mo so he can leave early. So i will be 2 down tomorrow...yipeeee. This one pays no money and flits in and out of the country but as he is nearly 50 now he is starting to settle down and be around for them a bit more. They have always been fine anyway, not affected by it all thank goodness!

They are all still up, just waiting for twins dad to arrive and then it will be peace and quiet i hope

I may go and dig out a photo of myself from somewhere, there are not many. I really, really hate having my photo taken.

Anyway calm thought for now.....

aprilmeadow · 27/01/2007 20:43

Just popped a picture of my ds on my profile page.

InTheseShoes · 27/01/2007 20:43

Evening all - came on to report that Jonah and I have finally met - I very bravely for me accosted her in Caffe Nero. Luckily, she didn't run a mile, and her DS is gorgeous too (Jonah, can I apologise for my completely random "Is he Jonah" - how to make friends and influence people...) It is amazing how real life can be infiltrated by the Internet - when I met DH in CN this morning, the first thing he said (whispered conspiratorially) was "I've had a good look and there's no one in a purple coat in here..." which made me laugh.

On the whole SPD thing, first of all massive commiserations to you, secondly, I was talking to a random woman at DS's swimming lesson yesterday, she is due in March and has it, and she has seen the obstetric physio and been given a sort of support thing that she says looks like a massive tubogrip, she's found it really helpful. Push for a referral to one, being pregnant is hard enough without all that!!

I am so knackered at the moment - I find the weekend harder in some ways because I can stop, so I do. I have bursts of energy when I go shopping or do housework or gasp socialise, but then I am absolutely exhausted. My bump has gone huge all of a sudden and the baby is really really active (although still breech .

I can't believe how chatty this thread is, it's impossible to keep up, so I'll just say, hello everyone, hope you and your babies are well, and please will someone post the link to the Bounty cake

jessinwa · 27/01/2007 20:54

i haven't had a chance to read everything yet but i did glance at soh's post. thanks so much for being concerned about me. i am down at times but for the most part i feel pretty good. dh is in and out of town a lot so that adds to the stress level in the house and my moodiness.
i just got back from the three hour gluclose test. yuck. hopefully they will have my results on monday so i can move on. i won't be too sad if the results come back positive. i just want to know so that i can start the diet and hopefully feel a bit physically better.
fsf, my friends mark and lee live in london now and lee is from london, though i am not sure what area.
so, i haven't read all of the posts yet, as i said, but i really hope one of you has written to take me up on my free bag offer. if not, my feelings will be hurt. i want to make something for one of my online ladies.
hope you are all having a fine evening. i plan to spend my evening with my two men and some amazing pizza. i wonder if a four cheese pizza is on the gestational diabetes diet? ignorance is bliss...

largeginandtonic · 27/01/2007 21:04

Jess glad you are ok and im gonna start making up a box of goodies to send out to you! Ignorance is indeed bliss.....i opt for that tactic quite alot

I have just poted a piccie of me on my profile, obviously dh took it without me seeing or i would have had my back turned! My hair is of course mad curly normally so FSF will double take when she see's it, i manage to hide from all sorts of people when i do my hair...

In these shoes i will look for a bounty cake link for you. Very pleased to see you on here and lol at you meeting Jonah and your detective DH!!!

The baby is going nuts, it feels soooo massive. I have a head wedged under my ribs, it's been like that for a couple of weeks now. I had suspected this but yesterday i felt around and managed to move his head from side to side, very hard and unmistakable. Hope this one does not mess around being breech as Hugs did till he was about 38weeks. It hurts having a head under your ribs instead of a nice squishy bum.

Hugs asleep....>

Frenchsmallfry · 27/01/2007 21:10

TYG, at the sham thing! Do you know, it looked funny when I wrote it but I forgot to go back and work out why. lol at my self. Trust you to notice, see I told you I am nervous of writing on here. all you very interlectual people.

The ski pic's were 2005 in Les Arcs France. We are off again 2nd week of March, I can't wait, ds is old enough for ski school this year, no more clinging on to Mummy, not that he could this year. weyhey!!

lg&t glad you may have a quieter day tommorow with no dt's. Hope it's better than today for you and you are able to restore your super powers ready for Monday.

OP posts:
twelveyeargap · 27/01/2007 21:11

Oooh, you can do a thing with the pictures on your profile so only your mumsnet mates can see them. Have just added everyone on this thread, so I don't need to worry about random people seeing them now. CLever.

Frenchsmallfry · 27/01/2007 21:13

I did double take lg&t you are right, your curly hair is so lovely, Carrie from sex in the city!! Looks good straight too though.

OP posts:
twelveyeargap · 27/01/2007 21:15

It's YOOOOOO! Very lush hair indeed.

We'll have to bug you into posting a proper pic of your face one day.

Frenchsmallfry · 27/01/2007 21:19

do you rekon it's case sensitive TYG, bit of a task writing them all in exactly.

OP posts:
Frenchsmallfry · 27/01/2007 21:20

I've put you in mine TYG with a capital T at the beg, could you see if you can see mine or not please?

OP posts:
Frenchsmallfry · 27/01/2007 21:28

It's ok I've sussed how to do it, ignor me.

OP posts:
twelveyeargap · 27/01/2007 21:28

not case sensitive! I just tried your FSF and it's fine. If everyone can see mine, then it's def not case sensitive because I did all lower case.

Also, if you put a "wrong" or misspelt name in, you get an error message.

Frenchsmallfry · 27/01/2007 21:37

excellent, thanks tyg, that is as you say really clever!!

OP posts:
aprilmeadow · 27/01/2007 21:45

ooh i like that function. Just added you all.

aprilmeadow · 27/01/2007 21:46

missed casualty FSF, was watching Dancing on Ice and then PokerFace. Was it good?

twelveyeargap · 27/01/2007 21:51

I think I need some sort of therapy. I've been on here ALL day.

Off now. Have a good evening everyone. Lovely to see all your photos.

Frenchsmallfry · 27/01/2007 21:52

yes it was quite good. Although I was half watching and half on here. Nathan paid kelsey £2850 to keep quiet, but she had to sign a document he'd written admitting that she was a prostitute so he has something on her. hehe. Oh and Sereena said she'd marry him, Yukkkkkkkkkkkkkk!

OP posts:
Frenchsmallfry · 27/01/2007 21:53

Me too, night all. xxx

OP posts:
aprilmeadow · 27/01/2007 21:54
