A home for all of us enjoying the surreality of the first trimester. We're sick as dogs, exhausted to the core, our boobs hurt, we've developed superhuman senses of smell and we're shirking all alcoholic bevvies with a variety of lame excuses...

...we're preggers and over the moon! Join us if you're due in February 2017 and fancy wisdom for the weirdness, support for any sadness, and a safe place where you can get excited about what the future holds, before you go public!

Third thread already (we're a chatty bunch!) Second thread here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2662110-Due-in-February-2017-thread-2?

haz I've been eating cheese and oat milk with coco pops that seems to cure it, I obviously needed calcium. Also been eating diary and wheat free cornettos. Seems to have calmed down now.

The morning sickness is coming and going now but it can happen at random!

Dreamingoutloud7 · 05/07/2016 21:16

Just had a big cry, need to pack for our trip tomorrow and I feel so nauseous and exhausted that I just lay there and cried instead, feel much better about it now, amazing what a good cry can do isn't it? Blush

GinIsIn · 05/07/2016 21:20

Thanks Phoebe! I'm 8+6 going by first day of LMP but 7+2 according to both measurements and when I had a positive opk so that seems fine.

Has anyone else had middle of the night morning sickness? I keep getting woken up by nausea at about 3am - HATING IT.

gumbootsandjandals · 05/07/2016 21:40

Fenella I have 24/7 nausea. If I wake up in the night it is very difficult to get back to sleep.

I am currently lying in bed willing myself not to vomit omelette and chips...

McBaby · 05/07/2016 21:40

I'm out started bleeding today and the baby had not grown passed 4 weeks I should be 10 weeks.

gumbootsandjandals · 05/07/2016 21:43

Sorry to hear that McBaby Flowers

louiseplusditi · 05/07/2016 22:03

What do you mean mcbaby?

Fenella - I had it last night! I kept waking up feeling so hot and sick!

PhoebeGeebee · 05/07/2016 22:04

So so sorry to hear that McBaby

FriendlyGhost · 05/07/2016 22:05

So sorry McBaby. I hope you've got plenty of support.
I had middle of the night nausea last night. Dd woke up for feeds at midnight and 4am and it took me ages to get back to sleep because I felt so rough. I need her to sleep through tonight but she's done this about 4 times ever and not for weeks Sad

Hazandduck · 05/07/2016 22:27

mcbaby I'm so sorry and thinking of you :( xxx

GinandJazzHands · 05/07/2016 22:28

mcbaby so very sorry to hear that, look after yourself Flowers
007 that's great news, must be a relief
haz I do love Hugo too!
Feeling the nausea again here. It eased off earlier but feeling vomilicious right now. Still waiting on those vitamin b6 tablets in the post!

Hazandduck · 05/07/2016 22:31

I get late night sickness if I stay up too late, I have always suffered with it though even when not pregnant I think it is the point I am hungriest because your digestive system is working away getting rid of your dinner...because of this I keep food next to my bed always haha. Last night nothing really helped though. I ended up playing candy crush on the iPad to distract myself and watching Alan Partridge until I dozed off! Poor OH has to just blot my restlessness out! Tonight he has baked cookies to cure my craving and my god they were good. Mmm one was bigger than my head haha. I've had the weird dreams not disturbing, I am clearly watching too much GoT, Jaime Lannister came round in full suit of armour to sort out our rodent problem in my dream the other night!

Hazandduck · 05/07/2016 22:31

Oh gin I'm waiting for my b6 tablets too! Bloody Amazon xx

LondonGirl83 · 05/07/2016 22:39

Sorry McBaby-- I hope you have lots of RL support as I know how tough it is.

Jojoclaire · 05/07/2016 22:52

I've been having weird dreams/nightmares too. One scary one featuring a work colleague the other night, it freaked me out, I couldn't look at him the following day!

I'm 9+5 today and am pleased (fingers crossed) to say the nausea seems to be subsiding. We were at a festival all wknd and I was fine, even with the nasty stall food, I managed not to have any wretching or worse. I nearly fainted on the train this morning Hmm but ate a smallish salad lunch, snacks and managed a decent portion of lasagne for dinner. Possible light at end of tunnel??

So sorry by the way mcbaby you must be bereft, I hope you have people around you offering support Flowers

Blueskies80 · 05/07/2016 23:00

So sorry to hear that mcbaby... That is such sad news, look after yourself. xxxx

I have been very tried this evening and had some red blood when I wiped.
I am tired of this now and want to be through this stage, 10 plus 3 today. I woke last night an was awake for hours and then had a day of work then kids pick up, dh is working. Am exhausted and feeling faint a lot but at least the nausea and extreme sense of smell seems to be subsiding.

Witch91 · 05/07/2016 23:16

To the person up thread craving ice cream but is lactose intolerant - have you tried frozen banana ice cream?

You blend a frozen banana with a tbsp of smooth peanut butter, a tbsp of honey, and cocoa powder to taste. Whiz it all up together and after a while it will go smooth and texture like ice cream. It tastes surprisingly good and you can't taste the PB (if that's not your thing!) it just tastes like choc ice cream!! Might just take the edge off your craving.

Last couple of weeks I could not seem to get enough salt, and did not want sweet things which isn't like me at all. Fortunately for my heart, that seems to have settled down now!!

Dreamingoutloud7 · 06/07/2016 06:20

So sorry mcbaby I hope you have people looking after you.

witch that's exactly what I'm like at the moment, I'm eating hula hoops by the bucket load and the thought of chocolate makes me gag!

H007 · 06/07/2016 06:38

So sorry McBaby

TheresaMarie55 · 06/07/2016 07:11

So sorry to hear that mcbaby, thoughts are with you x

I've only skimmed through but caught bits of the conversations. We have a girls name that we will definitely use if this one is another pink one Smile . we have a list of about five boys names we both like but aren't sure on any yet.

I found out the sex with both the girls. Hubby didn't really want to so I promised if we had another we would have a surprise so I'll keep my promise. We're getting one of the cosatto giggle 2 travel systems and theres lots of unisex options there and the cot I want is also unisex. We have only saved clothes from 9-12 months so would need new either way. Doing the room a pixie green colour to so that's unisex. I won't buy a lot if unisex clothes though as I will dress them I'm very girly clothes if a girl and have never shopped for boys stuff so will likely go mad if its a boy lol x

Evergreen17 · 06/07/2016 07:13

H007 fantastic news about the job!!!! SmileSmileFlowersFlowers good things will happen to us all here!' Flowers

Scarydinosaurs · 06/07/2016 07:30

mcbaby I'm so sorry Flowers

Still in hospital, but have had a better night, just waiting for my next lot of steroids now! One of the hardest things about being here is not having my kitchen with snack choices to reach for when I get cravings! I'm limited to a few crappy biscuits in my drawer 😂

I have one absolute certain boy name to use, and a list of girl's names- but one in particular that I think we'll go with.

Is anyone else considering a water birth? I didn't with my first two, but did find the bath a massive pain reliever...so contemplating booking in for a water birth this time! That is, if I'm allowed...I'm sure I can smile sweetly and get one Grin

Funtimelem · 06/07/2016 07:33

That sounds great I have seen that around but not tried it yet. I already have coconut milk ice cream and non diary cornettos - neither of which I can face!

Dreams have been
Mental!

Also I'm really sorry to hear that mcbaby, there are support groups on here too, which might help youxxx

Evergreen17 · 06/07/2016 07:52
