A home for all of us enjoying the surreality of the first trimester. We're sick as dogs, exhausted to the core, our boobs hurt, we've developed superhuman senses of smell and we're shirking all alcoholic bevvies with a variety of lame excuses...

...we're preggers and over the moon! Join us if you're due in February 2017 and fancy wisdom for the weirdness, support for any sadness, and a safe place where you can get excited about what the future holds, before you go public!

Third thread already (we're a chatty bunch!) Second thread here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2662110-Due-in-February-2017-thread-2?

Yes friendly I've tried searching and its not showing up, so I mustn't be in it! Very strange- I've tried on my phone and the computer. Will get DH to have a look at it tomorrow, maybe I'm doing something wrong, although there just seems to be 1 link to click then it brings me to that page.

Think I'm coming down with a cold, DS and DD are both in bed, coughing really bad so it will be a long night. Just got into bed to try and get some sleep while I can, but the kids playing in the street are literally screaming and screeching at the top of their voices right outside my house, pissing me right off! Can't say anything though as its not even 8.30 Confused

Hazandduck · 01/07/2016 20:38

Thanks ginandjazz I have ordered some too! Worth a try! X

BohemianRaspberry · 01/07/2016 20:40

Hello ladies, may I join in?

I'm 6+4 (due around 20th Feb) with much wanted dc number 2 after quite a few months trying. Ds is 2.5.

Sorry to be joining on the back of sad news xxx

Hazandduck · 01/07/2016 20:45

Welcome bohemian I am 6+1 today according to my early scan, could be a bit further, so we could well be due date buddies! Congratulations. It's heartbreaking to see so much loss, but this group is a great support for everyone going through the worry of the first trimester X

Evergreen17 · 01/07/2016 20:48

Gumboots thanks for the tip!! Grin
Welcome bohemian Smile

I have my epu scan booked for the 11th July. It seems ages away!

The good news is that I've had no more spotting since Sunday and had normal pregnancy symptoms since, I've got pretty close to throwing up but never managing it. I'm still getting light cramps but the dr seems to think they could just as much be my endometriosis.

The GP seem hesitant to book me in with a midwife until they seem the heartbeat and know the pregnancy is viable. I'm trying to take it has having symptoms as a good thing. They are stronger than on Sunday too. Naturally I'm panicking about my mild sickness tonight even though it's been rough today.

Today's news has been heartbreaking. Take care ladies. Flowers

Welcome bohemian

LondonGirl83 · 01/07/2016 21:44

so sorry for all the losses and welcome to the newbies!

My nausea is kicking my ass tonight... My cervix is sore too- anyone else?

My early scan is tomorrow at 12:30pm.

I got my booking in appointment confirmed today for July 25th and my 12 week scan is August 10th.

BohemianRaspberry · 01/07/2016 21:45

I'm also one of the bigger girls so fully expecting tutting and warnings over my weight when I check in. :(

jpclarke · 01/07/2016 21:53

So sorry to hear about the pain that some of you are going through, my thoughts are with you Flowers

TheresaMarie55 · 01/07/2016 22:21

Hi everyone, just caught up and checking in. I'm not on Facebook so will be sticking on here. Will most likely be on in the evenings once the little ones are in bed.

So sorry to hear about your losses ladies, I can't eben imagine how hard this is for you and I'm sending my love and best wishes. Flowers

I'm 9 weeks today and feeling OK, nausea only really happening when I'm I'm the car (passenger I don't drive) and I am shattered by 5pm no matter what I've done. I do tend to do at least 3 hours worth of walking each day though. I'm definitely having certain cravings, salt and vinegar rice cakes and Pringles, silver skin picked and branston/sweet pickle. Trying to avoid the Pringles though as I'm watching the calories still! Don't want to gain a silly amount like I did with my second daughter. I won't be having a scan until after 13 weeks unless they can scan me on a Saturday which I don't think they do here. We are having work done in the bathroom that takes two weeks, its happening in my 11th and 12th week of pregnancy, finishes the day before I turn 13 weeks. Can't postpone it either so will just have to go with it x

JDawg007 · 01/07/2016 22:38

Hello!

This is my first post, so please bear with me 😊 I'm 8 weeks today and I have my booking in appointment on Tuesday. I've really enjoyed reading everyone's contributions and so I wanted to join in. Nothing much to add, but I just wanted to say hello!

I have been absolutely shattered today though. I've had a really long week at work (starting 9am finishing after midnight, three days in a row) and so I couldn't make it to the office today. I had to work from home and I enjoyed two mammoth naps!

It's nice to meet you all. I look forward to sharing this experience with you 😀

SkyLucy · 01/07/2016 23:12

Hi bohemian! Welcome jdawg - when do you think you're due? Is it your first?

On the way home from a slap-up meal with friends in town - three pg ladies and their DHs and me...pretty sure they guessed, even though my DH abstained from the booze too to support my cover story...iron-willed considering their was a champagne button!!

Bleeding has stopped and I've no pain, so I'm hoping it was a strange blip. Goodness only knows though. Che sera, sera.

Hello!

Isn't the drink deception tricky! Especially if you usually like to indulge...particularly with bubbles on offer!

I'm pretty certain I'm due 10/02 and it's my first time preggo! I feel the same as most people on this thread it seems. In a constant stream of looking for symptoms, then hating the symptoms, then wanting the symptoms, for their reassurance...!! And all without talking to my best friends who have some experience in all this. So this site has been such a helpful resource for keeping calm and trying to remind myself to roll with it. I just try and remind myself to stay hopeful all will work out ok.

ScottishSnowflake · 02/07/2016 05:14

Hi Bohemian and JDawg! Welcome to the group. JDawg, you're due same day as me Smile

So sorry to hear HighHopes, Masweet, Flying and Myname. Flowers

I'm 8+1 today and nausea kicked in about 4 days ago. Only way for me to stop it is to constantly graze - diet went out the window unfortunately. Why baby wants salt and vinegar crops with cheese I don't know Confused tried the alcohol free wine in tescos last night - I rather liked it! Will take some when I tell my family tomorrow ...

Hopeful83 · 02/07/2016 06:50

So sorry to hear sad news for some people Flowers

Anyone else with a toddler struggling? Up at 4.45 am today (always up at 5). Haven't slept later than 5.30 for at least 4 months. Zzzz

FriendlyGhost · 02/07/2016 07:18

Welcome Bohemian and Jdawg Smile
Hopeful I'm really struggling with early mornings too. My toddler wakes for at least one feed during the night and then is an early riser. 6am today. The tiredness exacerbates the nausea so I feel worse after a bad night. I knew what I was getting myself in for but it doesn't make it any easier!

twocatsandatoddler · 02/07/2016 07:18

Hopeful 4:45? Ouch! Mine is really unpredictable - can be anything from 5:45 to 7:30, but usually around 6-6:30. We count it as a lie-in these days if the time he wakes up starts with a 7!

DH and I are up at 6am all week for work so I don't like hogging all the lie-ins at the weekend as he needs his sleep too, so we're taking it in turns as usual but it means I'm often in bed at 9pm at the weekends to compensate for the extra pregnancy tiredness! Thankfully I'm less tired this time than last time though so just about coping.

themightymoosh · 02/07/2016 07:22

Sorry to be checking in and seeing such sad news. Thinking of you all and hope you are getting some TLC from everyone Flowers

I was allocated to do some heavy lifting at work in the week but someone told someone told someone and I got allocated to do something else. So I suppose that cat's out of the bag Hmm although my line manager isn't aware yet. I feel like a bit of a fraud as I'm still doing all my horsey jobs (not been riding though, I'm absolutely cream crackered after work). It has been nice in that the office have been feeding me. I have no appetite at all but I feel better if I eat something; a bit of a vicious circle. Could also do with a couple of mangoes.

Quite sure my boobs are bigger because I keep catching my nipples when I open and close doors. A most scientific explanation. Note, I am wearing clothes.

6+6 today. Midwife in two and a bit weeks. Sent a request to join the FB group but like many others I feel happier posting here until reaching that magical 12 week point. People ask me if I'm pleased to be pregnant but it's very hard to be pleased when you're in this limbo, isn't it? So we just keep plodding on.

theremarkablerocket · 02/07/2016 07:49

Hi all, mind if I join in?

I found out I'm pregnant with my second on Weds after randomly testing (just stopped breastfeeding so periods were still MIA), went in for an early scan on Thurs morning and saw a heartbeat, and a wee blob measuring 6+1. So I'm due on Feb 22nd.

They also spotted an ectropian on my cervix which accounted for the bit of spotting I'd had, but since the scan I've been bleeding pretty much continuously. Not that heavily, but it's bright red blood so is terrifying me. I spoke to a nurse at the EPU who said it's likely the ectropian will be causing it, so I'm just hanging on for Monday when I can go back to the walk-in EPU.

Bit of a rollercoaster to go from not pregnant to 6 weeks to fearing the worst in the space of three days!

Anyway, nice to meet you all and so sorry for those who've had horrible news.

GinandJazzHands · 02/07/2016 08:08

Morning all! spin thinking of you for your scan today and hoping hard for twin 1. london hope your scan goes well today too lovely, let us know how you get on! Welcome all newbies!! I'm 6+4 today, been properly nauseous all week but had a late ish Chinese last night and a slightly later night. Feeling significantly less sick this morning, but rather than counting my blessings I'm sat here worrying it's not a good sign. Now even I know this is stupid; could someone give me a virtual slap please? Grin

GinandJazzHands · 02/07/2016 08:11

rocket wow that is an emotional rollercoaster. I was pretty useless the weekend I found out I was pg, we'd been trying for over six months but it seemed to take a while to sink in. Can't imagine what you are going through but the scan sounds really positive and you've a known reason for the bleeding; way more easier said than done but I'd try to relax; we've had tons of bleeders on here with healthy little embryos. Flowers

theremarkablerocket · 02/07/2016 08:39

Thanks Gin, am doing my best to think positively and quite enjoying making my DH do all the chasing and carrying of our one year old DS (seems to make the bleeding worse).

Definitely wouldn't worry about the sickness easing off - mine came and went constantly with DS (none this time - never thought I'd miss it!). Try and enjoy the respite!

Evergreen17 · 02/07/2016 08:45

London good luck with scan Smile

Welcome JDaw Smile

Welcome rocket Smile It sounds like the bleeding might be nothing to worry about but I hope you get answers soon Smile

I am 7+3 and always tired Sad

Readyfortwo · 02/07/2016 09:09

Hello all, struggling to keep up but sad to hear all the bad news. Welcome to the newbies. I'm 9+6 today & the nausea seems to be abating. Was at Paultons Park all day yesterday & did more steps than I've managed in weeks. Felt tired at the end of the day but not nearly as wiped out as I've been up to now, got lots of pains around my tummy this morning tho, could be stretching but more likely I've just overdone it a bit lifting/carrying my DS. Ah well, it's nice to start feeling a bit more normal again....even if I have had to relent & start wearing maternity jeans already (spent all of Thursday at work with my top button undone having thought my skinny jeans were still ok when I put them on.

I told a few people at work this week in advance of a company work trip next week. No idea how I'm going to handle that one/what I'm going to wear. Pretty sure most people will work it out, but at 10weeks I'd like to keep as many people out of the loop as possible!
