Yep, same here. And I normally never crave sugary stuff (savoury is my weakness).

I've had some ice cream and a Double Decker chocolate bar today. And I want more!

PotatosMum · 23/06/2016 21:35

Soda yay! On the good 28 week scan... Except for the big head bit... That sounds "ouch" Confused

Nev 6 days without a poop Shock you need fig rolls!

Ever believe it or not boring is good. The alternative is morning sickness, bursting into tears randomly and a distinct lack of the ability to poop! Don't worry though, soon you'll be in the second trimester and then you'll have getting fat and inappropriate wind to entertain yourself with Grin

Aww... Miley it's totally understandable that you're really upset about that... Men are a bit thick though and don't realise that the correct reaction is to appreciate you told him he could go and then not do it Hmm

Indi I would quite happily bathe in sugar at the moment. You are not alone!

The other day I informed OH that while I'm on maternity leave I'll try to do all the cooking and cleaning... Today he informed me that there is absolutely no way I will... Because I'm lazy... He's probably right on both counts but am I still allowed to be huffy about it? (He acknowledges that he is also lazy... This is not good for our general ability to get stuff done Confused)

OP posts:
leoniethelioness · 23/06/2016 21:57

I've had all the sugar today too...

shelbTa · 23/06/2016 22:18

I cannot get enough sugar.

leoniethelioness · 23/06/2016 22:22

I've eaten two chocolate bars (one was small...), some chocolate biscuits and had a fizzy drink 😯😐😕

My meals are fine but I can't stop snacking on sugary things. I've tried fruit but it just doesn't cut it...

I'm going to get gestational diabetes, aren't I?!

Trying to stay up to watch referendum coverage but I'm really going to struggle to make it beyond half ten...

PotatosMum · 23/06/2016 22:33

Leonie I've pretty much lived on chocolate and cake for the past couple of months and my diabetes test was fine. I wouldn't worry Wink

ever honestly, boring is better. I've had the most boring of pregnancies so far, and I feel really lucky. Literally, other than the last couple of days where I've had heartburn/indigestion, I've had nowt. I'm 18+2 and only just getting a bump, getting emotional outbursts and chomping down rennie but thats it.

nev proper black licorice, I've got a little bag of licorice wands (the proper bassets ones) and they've been my go-to response to constipation.

PotatosMum · 24/06/2016 04:03

stark you're such a brag with your boring pregnancy WinkGrin also I can't believe you're 18+ weeks already Shock

OH has woken me up because he was so excited that vote leave is on 51% and now I can't get back to sleep Confused

Morning all,

Had a down day yesterday that started with me bawling my eyes out. Stupid insensitive DH's- miley I'm with you on that one. I also second the spa vote!

Currently hating the state of vote but I guess we shouldn't get into Politics on here. I hope everyone is well.

shelbTa · 24/06/2016 06:05

Morning

Glad someone else is up bunch! What were you upset about yesterday? Cake

Yeah worrying result. I'm having an (probably) irrational stress about how it will affect the sector I work in / my job.

I've got weird burning groin pain this morning - that's aside from burning loin pain from lack of being shagged.

X

IndiX · 24/06/2016 06:43

Morning ladies,
Very shocked and scared for Beanie's future this morning, you're right though bunch I guess mumsnet isn't the place for politics.

Shelb I have the same loin pain (lack of sex pain) haven't seen DH for 2 weeks and he'll be getting pounced on tomorrow when I see him.

BunchOfBobs · 24/06/2016 07:19

Shelb, indi, you've hit the nail on the head right there. It's the lack of being shagged- that and general feeling unwanted and unattractive. The only contact I was getting was to touch the bump. DH has been great at fetching and carrying for me etc but if I'm complaining about back ache etc I have to ask for him to rub it. I flipped out after he said "ugh" when I told him my nips were leaking.
The constant "ugh" at what my body is doing or pointing out I have a beard etc has just worn me down. I did once have a sense of humour but when he wont come near me
And my hormones are mental I just had had enough. He got a huge email explaining how he has made me feel -once I had stopped crying enough to write it. Hopefully he'll now be better. He hasn't stopped cuddling me since.

I know it's mainly because I'm in a lot of pain and he hates to see/hear that and doesn't want to add to it but as I've told him, let me be the judge of what will hurt.

So my morning of bawling just drained me. I read everyone's posts but had no energy to post myself. A day in the sun helped though.

I have an accountant meeting today to find out my bill for the years work. I'm dreading it. We're also off to pick up a spin bike. We recently bought a suspension trainer and I'm in full on exercise jealousy mode of DH. At least I'll have new toys to play with once healed post birth.

Mileymoocow · 24/06/2016 07:27

Another one over here worried about the future of my job probably unnecessarily

But, it is what it is and we did what we thought best and I'm off with stark to stock up on potatoes and vodka!

leoniethelioness · 24/06/2016 07:37

Worried that all the laws will change will I'm on maternity leave... Someone tell me to get a grip, please.

leoniethelioness · 24/06/2016 07:37

*While! I am in such a state of despair that I can't string a sentence together.

LisaTheSimpson · 24/06/2016 08:04

Another one completely gutted over here. I still can't really believe it.

Anyway, yes....back to the preggo business!

Bunch, that sounds so draining, I'm so sorry you've been feeling like that. Hopefully, it sounds like writing everything down for your DH has been really cathartic (for both of you), and fingers crossed it brings you together and closer.

Feefeefs · 24/06/2016 08:06

At least he won't expect it potatoesWink

Yeah DH was almost in tears, and I got the lovely "I'm sorry everyone hates you" this morning. Very worried now about house buying? Although I guess most people have probably woken up in negative equity. Almost certainly means another independence referendum too. Who knows.

BunchOfBobs · 24/06/2016 08:23

Feefs at least you don't have to be ashamed of Scotland as they voted in. Complete not surprised you'd have another independance referendum. Can I come be Scottish? My DH family are all Scottish.
Wales on the other hand voted leave and yet this country is run on EU hand outs. Both DH and my industry now buggered. I said to DH this morning "How does Canada sound?", I was born there so it's an easy escape.
Anyhoo no point speculating until we know what it all means. It'll take about 2 years to actually leave they're saying.

Knew I should have bought dollars before going to sleep!!

Lisa I certainly felt better writing it all down and thankfully he doesn't seem to feel to shit about it- I was really worried I'd have dragged him down with me. After a morning of snuggles for the first time in ages (pillow fortress had to be dismantled) I'm feeling a lot better. I blame the hormones, one minute I'm really down in the dumps the next I'm so excited I'm on a high.

BunchOfBobs · 24/06/2016 08:31

May have just used stronger words than I should have with the "ashamed" comment. I mean no offence to anyone who voted out. Blame the hormones for my emotive language.

shelbTa · 24/06/2016 08:42

Aww I totally hear ya bunch - it's really hard loosing that side of the relationship, I've been feeling it too so take comfort that it's not just you. Glad that your oh reacted so well to the email though. I'm thinking, after bump has gone and we go back to looking a resemblance of what we did before it will go back to normal at bit in that respect? Is it our first major sacrifice as a mother? Cake

X

PotatosMum · 24/06/2016 09:24

As far as the vote is concerned, I think most people will be surprised at how little things will change once the knee jerk reaction has subsided.

Bunch I'm sorry you've had such a rubbish time but I'm glad you've sorted it out now.

So, I'm sat here on my last day of work, I don't have much to do and I'm only marginally awake because OH was up all night watching the referendum coverage Hmm we've got the kids this weekend which is always tiring. I can't wait until we have the house and they will both have their own rooms!

OP posts:
Mileymoocow · 24/06/2016 09:47

bunch I completely missed your post. I'd give you a great big bear hug if I could may be difficult with 2 baby bumps in the way but I'm glad to hear your DH has got his act together and shown you some affection Flowers

potato hope your last day flies over, sounds completely pointless you being there. Definitely a day for sorting your desk out and deleting old emails Wink

LisaTheSimpson · 24/06/2016 10:43

Congrats on the last day, Potato! Take it easy and leave early, yeah? Wink

IndiX · 24/06/2016 11:20

Potato hope you have a great not doing much, slacking wherever you can and doing some online shopping last day.

Oh bunch I'm glad you're feeling better, sometimes men just need to be told and it's always better to say/write how you're feeling to get it off your chest.

My back is starting to hurt again now, it used to be really bad around the 12-15 week mark and settled for a bit but it's back with a vengeance. Also getting cramp-like feeling near pubic bone, think it's just everything stretching but it's not the most comfortable.

In a a bit of a sombre/blah mood today after the results this morning. Can't do anything now though, just see what happens

Mileymoocow · 24/06/2016 11:41

indi not a lot has been done at my office today either. I work for a big pharmaceutical company and we export around 65% of our product to the EU so everyone is speculating! I'm trying to remain calm but I will admit it's a little worrying. Especially as OH works for a french oil company Hmm

Anyway! Just got my approval for maternity leave start date of 30th September which is all very exciting! I'm taking 2 weeks holiday before hand though so will be off from 16th September til end of June 2017!
