Elle I used to use a chlorine neutralising shampoo when I swam a lot. It seemed to help.

Well my weekend has been pretty crap so far. My Granny passed away last night - not unexpected but it's still hard. Followed by waiting in all day on my own for my new washing machine to arrive only for it to come (DH is away working). It's now not coming until next Saturday when I'll have to wait in all day for it again. The first person I spoke to at customer service basically said I had made a mistake. He didn't last long and his manager immediately admitted it was their fault because they didn't place the order with their supplier. Currently sat at my Mum's on my own because she's on holiday using her washing machine.

AudreyBradshaw · 09/07/2016 18:31

I'm so sorry for your loss co5mo much love for you Flowers

Mileymoocow · 09/07/2016 18:52

Oh co5mo sorry to hear that. It's never easy, expected or not SadFlowers Hope you spend tomorrow looking after yourself and doing something nice.

IndiX · 09/07/2016 19:12

Cosmo I'm so sorry, sending lots of love FlowersChocolate

Pinklily1 · 09/07/2016 19:15

So sorry to hear about your Granny Cosmo Flowers It's always hard to lose a loved one.

Miley - sounds like you got some good pressies. I've found that i'm a bit swollen after DTD in pregnancy. I certainly wouldn't want to do it two days in a row, let alone twice in one day!! My OH is also obsessed with my boobs. They were a decent size before, but he seems very taken with the even bigger ones i have now Blush

Also hear everyone on the body meltdowns. I've not been near the scales in weeks but I feel like I'm getting bigger everywhere now, not just bump Hmm.

We've had our second NCT class today, which was less airy fairy than the first. Then we've been to Primark to stock up on granny pants (I went for one pack of full briefs and one pack of bikini knickers), and also got a black nightie which I'll use for birth if I don't end up having a water birth, or for afterwards.

Tomorrow we have another antenatal class, but at the hospital this time. Not sure there is anymore to learn, but its free so I thought we may as well go!

New - one week left at work is amazing! Are you looking forward to finishing? I've got 5 weeks left to go, due to finish at 37+3 but am considering if I can last another week and finish at 38+3 instead.

For coconut oil, do you just use the stuff you can get in jars in the supermarket? I'm going through Bio Oil likes its going out of fashion.

Mileymoocow · 09/07/2016 19:22

pink it's the cold pressed organic we use. I use it for everything, too. We even have a jar for the dog Blush glad it's not just me that's swollen afterwards!

Upon closer 2nd inspection, stretchmark turned out to be a scratch which has faded to nearly nothing... so my breakdown was totally unnecessary.

IndiX · 09/07/2016 19:25

Pink yeah I just use the same coconut oil as I would cook with, just the organic type in a jar.

Miley glad the stretch mark was a false alarm!

Mileymoocow · 09/07/2016 20:08

Thanks indi, I know they're going to be a necessary evil but I thought I'd have at least another few weeks blissfully unaware! I did take a photo when I felt better though, then noticed bloody cellulite on my arms! What the hell?! Anyway, 27 weeks today and feeling bloody enormous. My arse is growing in keeping with my bump... stability I guess.

How is everyone coping with shaving their legs?! It's training me to be a fine contortionist of nothing else.

Pinklily1 · 09/07/2016 20:24

I'm managing ok with the leg shaving Miley, although I do struggle with maintaining the lady bits Blush I can't see things anymore so it's a bit of a risky procedure!

I'm still just bending down as I usually would to pick things up etc, need to start bending at the knees instead!

Pinklily1 · 09/07/2016 20:25

Ps you look great in the photo Miley! Such a neat bump!

leoniethelioness · 09/07/2016 20:38

Co5mo Sorry to hear about your granny. Hope you are OK.

Miley I tried to shave my legs in the bath and I just can't do it. I can only manage if I am standing up in the shower. Your bump is very neat! I am only a week or so further along and I am already enormous. I blame this on my addiction to sugar and being 5'0" - there's nowhere for the baby to go any more but out. People are now confidently asking me what I am due!

IndiX · 09/07/2016 20:43

Cute bump Miley! I agree you're lovely and neat.
I'm ok shaving everything atm but as my sciatica/back pain is bad I prefer to do it in the bath. I do keep thinking what will I do when my bump is so big I can't reach?! I am SO hairy so I'm going to look like a gorilla if I leave it a few days

AudreyBradshaw · 09/07/2016 20:52

miley that's a lovely bump!

Mileymoocow · 09/07/2016 21:10

I've been trying in the bath as that's where I tend to do most of my grooming! Will try the shower from now on. pink I can barely see mine either, out of sight out of mind and all that! Wink indi I'm the same, though bizarrely less hairy since getting pregnant Confused may have to bite the bullet and get waxed.

Anyone else got a linea nigra forming? Oh pointed it out, I couldn't see it so he took a picture and it's definitely starting! Also, thank you for the lovely bump comments. I think the photograph does me justice - I think I look a lot bigger IRL but my boobs are ridiculously big so my bump doesn't look as huge! Or maybe that's just my inner pessimist coming out again.

leoniethelioness · 09/07/2016 21:38

Nothing here, Miley, but my body hair is very ginger fair so it'd be hard to see.

Ordered curtains, rug and storage baskets for the nursery and a hilarious baby sleeping bag... Love to Swaddle Up. He is going to look so cute. Hopefully it'll last until he fits in his Grobag.

Sodasoda · 09/07/2016 21:52

Sorry to hear your news cosmo. My grandad died a couple of months ago. He'd been ill for a while but it's never easy.

Had a really productive day clearing out the flat. Boxed up lots of stuff and spruced up the nursery. Feel like we've got space to fit a baby now!

I'm becoming bigger and more uncomfortable at 30+3. DH had to paint my toe nails for me tonight!! He did a good job Shock

Great bump miley! Very neat. I also have a linea nigra - it came up pretty suddenly actually and is now very obvious.

I'm also less hairy since pregnancy! Unexpected bonus! I get legs and bikini line waxed so don't need to do the job myself thankfully.

I'm using loads of bio oil - I can't see any new stretch marks but the ones I had from puberty are more pronounced.

pink - how are you finding the all day NCT class? Is it a bit much? We're booked on for full day classes too and I'm a bit worried about it being a bit full on and tiring.

PotatosMum · 09/07/2016 23:48

Bunch yup, men are also often children lol.

You know you want to dye the nappy hoard Wink

New only one week left, exciting!!!

Irregular hope you feel better.

Miley lol at over-full ball bags. I wouldn't know with the swelling, my OH is terribly deprived. Blush

I hope you've recovered from your body wobble. I've had a few of those and I'm terrified of what my body will look like post pregnancy but we will all get at least some semblance of normality back and we can support each other losing the baby weight Flowers
I just read the update about it being a scratch lol, earlier I looked down and was horrified to see a stretch mark on my right boob but it's ok... Turned out to be cherry yoghurt Blush my boobs catch all sorts of food bits these days, sometimes I take my bra off and a confetti of crumbs hit the floor! Confused

Can't reach my legs to shave them any more but by this point it's the least of my worries. I'm at the, can't even put socks on without help stage Sad

Elle when I used to swim a lot I think I used Pantene beautiful ends which seemed to help my hair a lot.

Indi I speed read your post and when I got to the bottom I must have jumped a few words as all I got was latter, DH and squirty cream Shock

Co5mo sorry to hear about your granny. Take it easy Flowers

So, in the end we took the kids for a short walk today. It nearly killed me but it got them out the flat. OH pointed out to the kids that one of them was born at 35 weeks so it's possible the baby will be with us soon. Teenager was horrified lol. Poor thing is a bit conflicted about the idea of another sister, he can imagine how it will effect him to have another claim on his dad's time and money now. DSD doesn't have much of a imagination so is fine about it now but I think she's going to get a heck of a shock when she's not the baby of the family anymore Confused

Mileymoocow · 10/07/2016 07:31

potato hopefully she won't suffer the dreaded middle child syndrome!! My brother did and he was a bloody nightmare Shock my mum always said he never fully recovered from the announcement of her pregnancy with me haha! It really is quite amazing to think how soon we're all going to be parents, especially after being together through TTC and helping each other through the joys hell that is 9 months of carrying a child. So glad I found you all when I did or I do think my breakdowns would have been a lot more often and a lot more severe Blush

Boring Sunday for me - walk the dog and do absolutely nothing until it's time to walk the dog again. Repeat for final walk after OH goes to work tonight. Oddly looking forward to being a lazy git! Anyone got any nice plans? If I was more confident the sun would stay out I'd wash stuff for baby's hospital bag, I can't wait to see teeny tiny clothes on the line

BunchOfBobs · 10/07/2016 07:44

Morning all.

So sorry for your loss co5mo Flowers

Another big coconut oil fan here, I use it for everything and plan on using it for the baby too.

Pink you want the cold pressed organic stuff, so it can be expensive. Anything that's cheap has been processed so not as good. Cheapest place I've found for cold pressed is Amazon.

Lovely bump Miley. I'm feeling like I have to give up on leg shaving now. Last attempt I swear nearly killed me!!

Potato you're very correct, the due has been ordered Blush

Lol at the scratch and cherry yoghurt discoveries.

Miley my plan for the day is to have a nice lazy morning with my friend watching the last 4 episodes of our tv binge session then watch the Wimbledon final. I have been wanting to jump DH all weekend but really should wait until my friend is out the house. Not sure when will be best but bedtime is out as I'm comatose as soon as I hit the pillow.

I really need to send DH to the shop to pick up the next veg item for my weekly photos.

Pinklily1 · 10/07/2016 08:01

Soda, the full day NCT here is 10am - 4pm. It's a long day and both OH and I are really tired when we get home, but it doesn't feel too long whilst you are actually doing it if that makes sense? I'd rather do a few long days than lots of shorter night sessions. We've met some lovely people so I'm really glad we've done them for that more than anything. One thing I would say - there has been an assumption on the part of the teacher from the outset that everyone is going to breastfeed, which has irritated me. I'm going to try to but to be honest don't mind either way, I won't be gutted if I have to formula feed, and I think it's a bit presumptuous of them to assume without asking people their plans.

We have another antenatal class today (a hospital one), for 4 hours and I'm kind of regretting signing up for that - I just want a lazy day and to watch Wimbledon!

I tried on my granny pants last night - they are HUGE! I'm a size 10 normally and got a 14-16 to be sure they will fit at the end. I could put them on and pack all my hospital stuff in them and there'd still be room Grin

Bunch, I'd probably wait for your friend to leave before having your wicked way with OH!

Mileymoocow · 10/07/2016 09:18

I agree with pink, if you're that up for it I'd definitely wait bunch!

pink I find a lot of places just presume that everyone wants to breastfeed. I'm the same as you - I do want to, but I also know that it's not always possible so don't want to be made to feel like a bad mother if I have to give up and formula feed!

I've put the first wash of baby clothes in with the detergent sample I got at mothercare and true to bloody form it's started raining Angry not a big deal, they can go on the clothes horse but I want to see them hanging on the line! Less than 10 weeks until I start maternity leave and I'm probably going to have everything done way before then, so I'll have to do the dreaded meal prep. The baby wipes we have (think they're asda) say they're suitable from birth. Is anyone using wipes straight away? I know they recommend cotton wool and water which is fine but if they're suitable for newborns then I don't see any reason why not.

IndiX · 10/07/2016 09:29

Yeah pink maybe wait until your friend goes if you want a proper session. I find sneaky sex a bit frustrating Blush
I've tried to jump DH this morning before he goes to work all day, he then said he only has 10 mins so i didn't really see the point! I'm the same though, I prefer morning/afternoon DTD, as soon as I get in bed I feel exhausted.

What washing detergents are you all using for the baby clothes/blankets? I should start doing mine soon but I need to make space I think.
Today I have no real plans, I may go to b&q and buy some packing boxes and have a good sort out of my clothes/jackets that I'm not going to wear until I'm slim again sob, and make a start of clearing stuff in the nursery for when DH starts building it next week.
Miley my mum got us loads of the aldi baby wipes so I think they should be fine. I've seen the 100% water wipes that I wanted to get but they are SO expensive.
Potato no squirty cream was wasted on DH haha, just save that for my hot chocolateGrin

leoniethelioness · 10/07/2016 09:36

I've got two packs of Water Wipes to get me started but I want to use Cheeky Wipes then. My friend swears by them. I need to order them this month.

Mileymoocow · 10/07/2016 09:54

I know morrisons do some called little big - pure as water, too. God I feel awful for being a disposable user haha, all you ladies seem to be sorted with washable nappies and wipes. I love the idea but I have no idea if I'll have any time at all to wash nappies and wipes.

indi it's best to put them out of sight, I kept trying on my normal clothes and it's ridiculous how quickly you outgrow them Sad no point getting stressed over it so I put all of mine in the spare bedroom wardrobe. I haven't got a coat that fits me at the moment so am walking the dog in OHs coats, but even they're getting a tad snug Blush

IndiX · 10/07/2016 10:08

Yeah Miley my wardrobe is too full atm so anything size 10 is going in the box. At least when I'm hopefully back to pre baby weight it'll feel like Xmas opening all the boxes back up.
I might have a look at the morrisons water wipes, I feel bad too being a disposable mum but I am very good at recycling rubbish in to the different bins so I do try to be a bit eco friendlySmile
