Maybe you can plan a trip there with the baby, Miley? I'm eyeing up the cruises they do around there... (although we want to go with my parents next year and my mum won't fly so it'll be the Canaries or Med from Southampton if we can afford it).

Ahhhh prosecco. Can you drink when you're breastfeeding? I'm looking forward to a few at Christmas.

shelbTa · 26/06/2016 10:47

Stark - we've got the chameleon X

PotatosMum · 26/06/2016 10:47

Indi thanks Smile I have suggested to OH that DSS needs a bit of positive reinforcement that his place is secure. I'm going to attempt to do this too, hormones permitting but they do turn us into nutcases don't they?!

Soda would you normally be angry if he did this, if so then start hoovering Wink if not, then I'd assume it's the pregnancy hormones making you more sensitive than you would normally be.

Elle Amazon is your friend. They have lots of pregnancy/bolster pillows on there. I think mine was about £25 and is great.

Stark DSSs reaction to being told I was pregnant was exactly the same. Except he said ok then started talking about some trainers he wanted Hmm

I love my consatto, no experience with the other ones.

Miley let him cancel. He'd probably feel horrible while out there anyway because regardless of whether you want him to go or not he'll feel like he's abandons you when you need him.

Leonie i believe you can have a glass when BFing. By xmas I hope to be able to express too so that I can have a few!

PotatosMum · 26/06/2016 11:23

I'm so glad I'm bottle feeding. As much wine (or anything else) as I like Grin

Nevlet · 26/06/2016 11:26

My stretch marks on my bump are horrendous today they are huge and red and angry looking Sad

StarkyTheDirewolf · 26/06/2016 11:31

I've read a few things saying the alcohol percentage which is transmitted through breastmilk is very small, same amount as it would be if you drank orange juice or something but that most advocate the pump and dump. Because what medical person is going to say "yeah, sure, get wasted and feed your baby!" Grin and a few articles which suggest that it's more dangerous to drink and breastfeed because of the risk or suffocating baby, not being fully coherent, falling asleep while feeding etc. You're more likely to be absolutely exhausted with a baby so drinking plus being exhausted plus breastfeeding is a recipe for disaster. If I make sense?

I'll definitely be having a few glasses of wine over Christmas etc!

Feefeefs · 26/06/2016 12:19

Elle Argos have them they're awesome that's what I have. www.argos.co.uk/m/static/Product/partNumber/3768789.htm?_$ja=tsid:59156%7Ccid:596683589%7Cagid:28645056325%7Ctid:pla-184224162565%7Ccrid:96088059565%7Cnw:g%7Crnd:17231627600175097736%7Cdvc:m%7Cadp:1o1&gclid=CIyo9snHxc0CFRITGwod5TEH9A

£8.99! Does the job.

Soda DH did similar about three weeks ago and was very guilty in the morning and understood why I was so annoyed, has not done it since and in fact has not had more than two drinks together since. Perhaps if your DH shows similar remorse it's an easy conversation otherwise I think it's reasonable to calmly explain why his behaviour upset you especially considering how much your sleep was effected.

I will also have wine when breastfeeding, think it's all about timing z

Feefeefs · 26/06/2016 12:25

Also just told DH about your story soda and as he said (without prompting!) maybe you are more sensitive because you're pregnant but that doesn't take your feelings any less valid.

Nevlet · 26/06/2016 12:30

Have spent last hour sorting baby clothes... Have text both DM and MIL to please not buy anymore especialy in 0-3 as he has a ridiculous amount!

Newmrs22 · 26/06/2016 15:40

Argh I've missed loads again!

New, 32+5 with a vanilla wriggler.

Manic couple of weeks! I've spent most of today sleeping/lying down trying to recover. Think I need to take it a bit easier, I've not even had time for mums net. Really struggling with appetite, hormonal outbursts, insomnia and heart burn! This pregnancy lark is not fun.

I've had 3 NCT classes now. Really enjoying them, although it is clearly biased towards natural, non medicated birth. I don't mind that but I think some more balance might be more useful.

We spoke to NCT lady about alcohol and breastfeeding and she said she doesn't condone it, but one is alright. She seems massively over cautious about everything, so I'm taking that to mean 2 glasses is fine Grin if you time it right

BunchOfBobs · 26/06/2016 16:39

I plan on having a glass or two when breastfeeding. I was given brandy in my bottle with milk when teething (and turned out fine Confused)so I certainly won't be giving anything that strong in my milk after two glasses.

Nev moisturise moisturise moisturise. Supposedly it helps with the itch and use bio oil or superdrugs own version restorative oil to help take the angry look away . They'll soon fade to silvery and they're trophies of what an amazing thing your body is doing.

Soda I second what others have said, it depends on whether it would normally annoy you. I've had the chat with DH that from 37 weeks he can't have more than one drink incase we need to get to hospital. Apparently he was expecting it, which shocked me.

Anyone else who has had nipple leaks suffering from nipple daggers?! They really hurt sometimes and are permanently alert. You can see them through my padded maternity bra!

PotatosMum · 26/06/2016 16:42

nev don't look at the stretch marks, they sense your horror and multiply!!!

Kids have gone back to their mum early so OH and I are curled up on the sofa together Smile were both happy to play on our phones and be antisocial but we like to do it together Confused

OP posts:
shelbTa · 26/06/2016 16:59

Potato - sounds like me and my oh!

Bunch - got my first nip leak today (bleurgh). No nip daggers but I am getting fanny daggers and period pain.

Do you need to mention period pain to midwife or anything?

I'm looking forward to the day when we can all have our first tipple and think back to these conversations!

X

Feefeefs · 26/06/2016 17:07

Put on my favourite jeans today and they fit perfectly! Have been avoiding them for weeks because I thought I wouldn't get them past my knees! It really is all boobs and "bump"(belly!) but I actually do look today like a have a bit of a bump

BunchOfBobs · 26/06/2016 17:17

Shelb no harm in mentioning it at your next appointment but unless it's really bothering you I wouldn't be calling as I associate it with all the stretching going on. Fanny daggers are the best aren't they?! Wink

Feefs I see a bump Grin

shelbTa · 26/06/2016 17:30

Definite bump feef, exciting!!

shelbTa · 26/06/2016 17:52

The breast feeding army on MN would probably string me up but - just gave the girls a squeeze and they are like water pistols....it's made me feel a bit sick and dare I say it, repulsed. Not sure I'm into that side of things yet!!

X

BunchOfBobs · 26/06/2016 17:53

Shelb I squeeze mine daily, and pick out the dried bits Blush I had some orange liquid come out the other day..... I'm sure it's supposed to be yellow or clear at this point.

shelbTa · 26/06/2016 17:55

Mine is yellow. I can't handle this. Told OH, that was weird.

X

shelbTa · 26/06/2016 17:56

Bunch - arent you meant to express and save the early stuff by freezing? Sure my friend did that.

BunchOfBobs · 26/06/2016 18:17

Shelb, all I've read says no expressing until breastfeeding is established, around 6 weeks. Expressing before baby here can induce contractions so I wouldn't do it before then. I haven't even bought nay expressing paraphernalia, I'm waiting to see if I'll need it.

Gah DH and I still bouncing names around. Another old one I loved has popped up. Why can't DH just choose two he likes and then I can stop thinking of more to mull over!!

PotatosMum · 26/06/2016 18:56

Shelb I'm looking forward to the day when we can all have our first tipple, get hammered after one glass because we've all been t total for so long and then come on here to post... It will be hysterical WinkGrin

Lol, at breast pistols!!!!

I'm absolutely starving but OH is being a boy this weekend... Where's my useful OH who does all the cooking when I need him?

OP posts:
Mileymoocow · 26/06/2016 19:26

God I can't wait for my first boon explosion. Oddly enough I had dried yellow discharge on my nipped before I even tested positive for baby!

I've had dramatically reduced movements today as in only felt baby this morning when I woke up. How long until I'm not classed as over reacting and I have every right to a massive panic attack? OH has suggested a bath as that usually works...nothing. I'm worried because my niece ran for a hug today and unintentionally headbutted my gut.

BunchOfBobs · 26/06/2016 19:29

Miley have an ice cold glass of water, lie on your left side. If still no movements after 30mins to 1 hour call your midwife. Don't have a full blown panic attack but best to be safe XFlowers
