Stopped getting notifications again grrr. Reassuring seeing the shopping is just starting for some still. I have bought, and made, some clothes and blankets so far and, tried to get my head round travel systems, found some nice nursery furniture but argued with my oh about nurserys. (He doesn't want one whilst I wonder where he purposes to put her and all her stuff).
Been at pregnancy yoga tonight and struggling to breath lol don't think i'm cut out for it but hoping it helps.
Ducky that is a good looking bump.

Vixxfacee · 27/09/2016 12:36

I want to do some kind of pregnancy yoga or pilates but there are none in my area. Closest is 7 miles away.

Sickness has come back again. I have been on medication for hg since week 8 which has helped but still sick occasionally and queasy every evening. But started being sick alot this week!

My bump has gone down today. I don't even look pregnant!

MagpieCursedTea · 27/09/2016 14:35

I quite fancied doing pregnancy yoga this time but none of the classes I could find were at convenient times for me. I'm tempted to try an online video but worried about hurting myself!

Duckyneedsaclean · 27/09/2016 16:44

Ha Magpie, me too. I had images of me stuck in a bizarre tangled heap on the living room floor.

Hanbeth84 · 27/09/2016 17:07

The yoga is ok. Not strenuous and mostly just breathing tecniques to help the birthing process and soothe the mind. She also reads mantra and staments whilst we're relaxing such as: everyone in the labour suite is there out of love for you and your baby. And, that body knows what it is doing. Trust it to do it. I joined to make friends as much as anything but not working so far. Apparantly they have monthly meetups for coffee etc so we'll see.
Sorry to hear about the sickness Vixx. Hope it eases of again soon, must be so draining.

Vixxfacee · 27/09/2016 17:21

Hanbeth it is horrible! Over 4 months now.

Hmm all those mantras who probably make me laugh. I wanted to join to either make new friends or do exercise.

Is anyone exercising? I can barely keep eyes open at work and by the time I get home I am ready for bed!

MagpieCursedTea · 27/09/2016 18:19

The amount of tossing and turning I do to get comfortable in bed is my current exercise regime. It's quite strenuous and I'm always exhausted.

I did some YouTube pregnancy yoga videos for a while. Only about 10 mins long and the lady herself is quite heavily pregnant. I don't exercise normally, but found that these weren't too strenuous. It's PREGNANCY YOGA: EPISODE 1 (and of course, episodes 2,3 etc) by Tonic on YouTube if you wanna try it out.

peonylover22 · 27/09/2016 19:51

I'm still exercising at 25 weeks! I do 3-4 classes a week, 2 prenatal and the others normal with a few adaptations. No running any more though. I've heard that the yoga bellies DVD is good but I haven't tried it myself. Those mantras would make me burst out laughing!

Janubub · 27/09/2016 21:10

24w and still exercising. Trying for 30 minutes 4-5 times a week, all cardio now. Don't have the patience for yoga.

Vixxfacee · 27/09/2016 22:10

I am impressed!

hels18 · 28/09/2016 11:07

I finally have a place at pregnancy yoga! Start at the end of October, as there is a huge waiting list as it seems to be only weekend class in my whole area. So excited to go! Other than about a 20 minute walk each way to work as part of my commute and weekend activities, I'm not really doing much exercise now.

My craving this week is definitely chocolate. Plain chocolate, like Galaxy or Cadburys, which is strange as was never really a big fan of it before! Up until this point I had been craving really cold things like fruit ice lollies, ice cubes and ice cold drinks. I still want cold things, but no ice lollies! Anyone else got any cravings that they wouldn't normally be tempted by?

hels18 · 29/09/2016 16:04

How does anyone do any work when baby kicks!? I'm sat at my desk post lunch and baby is very active. I just want to lay down and enjoy feeling it having a party in my belly, but I have to try and concentrate.... it's very distracting!
It also does this late at night but I am often so tired I don't really get to enjoy it before falling asleep.

Vixxfacee · 29/09/2016 17:28

Hels I wish my baby would kick more.
He hasn't moved for 2 days. I went to the day assessment today and his heartbeat was fine but for some reason he's either not moving or I can't feel it. Stressful day!

Kellz92 · 29/09/2016 19:44

Hi ladies, hope you're all well xx

hels18 · 30/09/2016 09:28

Sorry you are stressed Vixx, hopefully if heartbeat is strong it means he might be having a lazy few days.

When are we supposed to start monitoring movement and kicks?

Vixxfacee · 30/09/2016 09:59

Hi Kelz

Hels from what I read we should start monitoring at 28 weeks as the baby will have a regular pattern of movement.

I got 3 small kicks this morning and I've had a niggly pain in my back/bum so hoping the baby has changed positions and that's why I'm not feeling him. Midwife did say he is head up and facing my back!

Vixxfacee · 30/09/2016 09:59

Hels how often do you get movement?

Duckyneedsaclean · 30/09/2016 10:05

he is head up and facing my back!

That would make him harder to feel! Don't feel silly going back if you're still worried though.

I can't feel mine until I lie down, now. I think maybe they're too squashed when I'm upright? But if I'm busy all day I do start to worry!

Vixxfacee · 30/09/2016 10:09

I have an anterior placenta as well so that's contributing. It's really more stressful than I ever imagined.

Ducky I would have thought you would feel your babies more because there are 2 days them! Do they feel low down or high up? They are probably all squashed together which is so sweet.

hels18 · 30/09/2016 11:40

I'm feeling movement mostly in the afternoons after lunch and evenings after dinner when I am sitting still or lying down. I'm usually rushing around the rest of the day so it's either not awake or I just don't feel it. I'm 24 weeks tomorrow so it seems to be more regular than it was a couple of weeks ago.

If I feel lots of movement and then none for a while, I guess it has just changed positions and I give my belly and hips a good wriggle and do some very unattractive yoga moves to see if I can get it to shift again!

MagpieCursedTea · 01/10/2016 15:34

I've noticed movements have started to feel different. I can't quite describe it but I'm putting it down to reduced space. I had a 4D scan today (which was so amazing!) so it was good to know he's doing alright in there. He's still breech though, trying not to worry as he has loads of time to turn but DS was head down at this point. I've got my first growth scan on Wednesday, hoping he's growing as expected!
For anyone worrying about movements, I always think it's worth getting checked out, even if you've been before, it's better to get reassurance rather than worry!
I think the kick counting guidelines have changed now haven't they? It used to be counting a certain number of kicks (10?) in a space of time. Now it's just looking for any changes in pattern. Is that right?

OP posts:
Duckyneedsaclean · 01/10/2016 15:50

Yes, they don't recommended counting anymore, just being aware of any change/reduction.

I think the thinking was if you got to your 10 for the day you might have a false sense of security?

MagpieCursedTea · 01/10/2016 17:37

Yeah that sounds about right.
I tend to worry when baby isn't moving even if he's been really active before that. He clearly needs to sleep at some point but I find the quietness difficult!

OP posts:
Hanbeth84 · 01/10/2016 18:00

That is exactly how I feel Magpie! I have to tell myself she has to sleep to get big and strong and prepare for the growth spurt that apparantly starts now. Some movements feel like maybe she's turning over in her sleep even; like a gentle nudge but not sure.
