Hello I'm new here, hope it's not too late to join.

EDD is 18th January and I'm having another daughter (daughter no.1 is 3 years old).

Surf25 · 06/09/2016 16:13

Welcome lady and congrats on expecting dd2! Hi ducky I am 21 weeks and also huge and heavy, also far bigger than I ever was at similar or later stages than with singletons, am also expecting twins. I actually can't imagine how big I am going to get!!!

MagpieCursedTea · 06/09/2016 17:09

Ducky I also have issues with feeling swollen there Blush I don't remember it last time around either. This pregnancy is very different from my first in general.

Lady welcome and congratulations!

I've not had a great day, everything got on top of me and I ended up a crying mess. I felt so bad as it was all in front of DS and he seemed worried. I had to call my Mam to come help me as I was in such a state. Feeling pretty guilty and useless now.

Had a scan this morning and found out we're having a boy :) Everything looked perfect and healthy which is definitely a relief!

Sorry to hear some of you are having a rubbish time :(

Duckyneedsaclean · 06/09/2016 18:54

Ah Magpie, it happens to all of us at some point. Don't worry about it too much. Good reason for some chocolate & a rom com, get it all out of your system.. That's what I do anyway!

Hi Surf, it is very worrying.. The impending enormous bump. Do Not Google image search twin bump. I can tell you that for nothing.

Ladybunnyfluff · 07/09/2016 12:39

I'm a bit jealous of everyone with a bump, a combination of a tubby belly and a tiny belly means there is really nothing to see.

I posted on the main pregnancy board but is anyone on here expecting a tiny person? My baby is measuring on the 8th centile at 20.5 weeks.

Ladybunnyfluff · 07/09/2016 12:41

Above should read "tubby belly and tiny baby" sorry!

Vixxfacee · 07/09/2016 12:49

I wonder if anyone else is experiencing stomach pains.
It's on right side and I've had it since yesterday! Constant ache like a stitch and worse when I move.

LucySB123 · 07/09/2016 16:03

I didn't get any centile measurements at my 21wk scan. I get a bar with a dot for each measurement (e.g. FL, AC, BPD...) to indicate where DC2 is on the average range. Seems like around the center for most. I am not sure they are completely accurate, with DD1 she was measuring 50thcentile up to 35/6 weeks and delivered at 37 weeks at 8thcentile?

No stomach pains but lots of back pain, everytime i get up from lying from my back. I only have a small bump so far (although it should weigh about the 9 pounds that I've put on) so I am not sure why it's causing such pain.

Kittykitty05 · 07/09/2016 16:22

vixx def sounds like round ligament pain, very normal for a belly stretching from normal to watermelon size!

Ladybunnyfluff · 07/09/2016 17:42

I didn't get a written centile either Lucy, I asked the sonographer because most measurements were on or next to the dot on the line.

You are right though they can be inaccurate.

hopingandwaiting · 07/09/2016 21:01

No centile chart here. Bump has grown massive today and is very achy - I think it's because I've been on my feet all day.

vixx It could be round ligament passion, or, more embarrassingly, it could be your bowels. I was having a bit of trouble in that area and getting lots of right sided pain, especially when stood up. Spoke to the midwife who said there is a big loop of intestine on that side that can get irritated. I found pregnancy yoga 10 mins a day and prunes helped with the problem!

manhowdy · 07/09/2016 21:39

Another place marker!

Due 16th Jan 2017 and my bump is HUGE already. This is my third - I have a 19 year old boy and a 6 year old girl. Found out today this baby is a girl, despite being convinced it was a boy and calling her Eric for weeks Grin

Kittykitty05 · 07/09/2016 21:47

manhowdy that's funny, maybe she's an Erica! I have a 13 year old son and 8 year old daughter so also having a third with a gap!

MagpieCursedTea · 07/09/2016 23:19

Manhowdy My Mam had to be stopped by my much more sensible Dad from calling me Scottie as she'd been so convinced I was a boy she called me Scott throughout pregnancy. Erica would work a lot better than Scottie though!

Hey Vixx Yeah I am on Cyclizine and yeah was still sick on it but not as much as all the others. I am really bad at remembering to take them so I still have some vomiting. I do have a bump but because I was already plus-sized I think I just look a bit fatter, it doesn't look like a baby bump yet.

Had our 20 week scan today, all fine. Baby was awkward again and laying with its back to us so took a while to get all the measurements and checks done.

sj257 · 10/09/2016 19:05

Hi everyone, due 18th Jan, baby number 3, a boy. I have an 8 year old and a nearly 10 year old! I am getting fanny daggers, feel swollen down there, don't remember this the other times! Also feet and hands swelling. Ugh! Was in hospital bank holiday weekend with kidney stones. Mother nature is definitely making sure this is my last pregnancy 😂

MagpieCursedTea · 10/09/2016 21:13

Muffintops glad the scan went well!

Sj I'm getting a lot of things this pregnancy that I don't remember from last time. Not sure if they're new or if I've just blocked out a bunch of unpleasant stuff!

Vixxfacee · 13/09/2016 17:04

Hi everyone and welcome to the new comers!

I had my scan yesterday at 20.4 weeks. Baby looks healthy and is a boy! He weighs 13 oz and was not in the mood to pose. He was squeezed into a small space and I had to go and eat and a drink.
Finally feeling movements now (kicks and punches rather than flutters) but think that's because of anterior placenta.

MagpieCursedTea · 13/09/2016 18:27

Hi Kellz! good to see you in here!

Vixx glad all went well with the scan!

Yay for all the lovely scan news.

I suddenly have a bump Hmm

Vixxfacee · 13/09/2016 19:45

Has it come out of the blue suddenly?

Janubub · 13/09/2016 20:08

Yes! Looked like myself before, if a little chubby. Over the last few days, a hard, not-too-big but visible bump has arrived. I'm surprised. DH more so!
