Hi,

I am 14 weeks and 3 days and stomach is flat. By the evening it's bloated but that's from I guess food and gas. Is there anyone else who has a flat stomach!

SunCrusHH · 31/07/2016 17:07

Almost 16 weeks here. No bump but feel fatter and no movements. Hurry up bump!!!

MagpieCursedTea · 02/08/2016 07:55

We've gone a bit quiet in here again! How's everyone doing? I've managed to catch another illness and I'm exhausted which isn't great, especially as I've got a busy day and I'm going away at the weekend. I just want to sleep!

magpie Sorry that you aren't feeling well. I'm also exhausted and have been experiencing migraines for the past few days. Wish I could stay in bed for a week. At least the sickness has now started to ease up.

Vixfacee me too! I'm 15+3 with my first and just look like I'm had a big meal in the afternoons! Still waiting to pop!

Next scan (20 weeks) is 6 September so seems like ages away, although I'm sure it will go quickly.

sj257 · 02/08/2016 18:40

Hi everyone I'm 16 weeks tomorrow, have started feeling the baby in the past few days 😊 it's my third. We are having a gender scan tomorrow, eek!

Daysies · 03/08/2016 07:16

Is it too late to join in here? I've been so terribly anxious about this pregnancy and having finally got to the stage where first scan and screenings have come back looking good. It would be nice to make some new mum to be friends! I am due on January 27th, nearly 15 weeks today.

EllieVeryBerry · 03/08/2016 07:49

Hi, I would love to join the Facebook group please! How can I please PM my email to be added? x

Mumchatting · 03/08/2016 09:13

I messaged admin a week ago and still haven't been added to the fb group. Probably the admin doesn't check mumsnet anymore and is not aware that there are so many new requests to join the group. Anyone else could add us please?

MagpieCursedTea · 03/08/2016 10:36

You could PM me your email address that you use for FB and I'll see if I can add you?

Welcome daysies!

Hello! I didn't know there was a Facebook group either, I would also love to join if possible.

MagpieCursedTea · 03/08/2016 17:26

No bother Daysies if you PM me the email address you use for FB I'll see if I can get you added.

The other antenatal threads are really busy and I am guessing now it is because you are mostly all on fb. I am not on fb!
Is there anyone else around who isnt on fb?

15 weeks today. Still no bump. I looked at the Feb thread and they are putting up bump pics!

hels18 · 04/08/2016 11:20

I'm still on this! It's a shame this thread seems to be much slower than the rest. I've been following the February thread too as if I'm late, my little one will be an early Feb babe.

I have a question about NCT/NHS classes for anyone that has done them before. As this is my first pregnancy, I would like to do classes, although not sure if the NCT ones are worth the £250... I could put that towards my new pram! I'm based in Kent and have had mixed feedback about both.

Also, does anyone have a Joolz pram? I am in love with the design and they seem great, but want to know if they are worth the price tag.

heybaby1 · 04/08/2016 11:25

@Vixxfacee I'm still here! I'm 15+3 and I'm still not really showing, like you, which is very frustrating - simply because I just want to feel it moving and surely you have to be bigger for that?! I did the FB request but no luck so far, so let's have fun on here instead :) I haven't really had any morning sickness so I keep forgetting it's in there, and wanting to eat CHORIZO and BRIE and delicious things like that - bring on the "first flutters!" I hope you're getting on well :)

Vixxfacee · 04/08/2016 11:26

Hi Hels, when are you due?
My midwife gave me information about antenatal classes in the local children's centre.

Vixxfacee · 04/08/2016 11:27

Hey baby,

Glad to see you are still here! How tall are you?
Have you got your 20 week scan date?
I am on medication for sickness! Being sick about once or twice a day now so that's something.

heybaby1 · 04/08/2016 11:47

@Vixxfacee - ah, I'm 1m80 - a tall one. Does that have something to do with it?! Are you tall too? Scan on 8th Sept when I'm 20+3 :) SO EXCITED! Sorry about the sickness, that sounds awful. Apparently seasickness wristbands make a difference - have you ever tried?! Hang on in there :)

Vixxfacee · 04/08/2016 11:56

I'm 5ft 8/9 so maybe having a long torso means you show later!? No idea. My scan is on the 12th September. Are you going to find out what you are having?
I tried everything and in the end the tablets helped alot!

hels18 · 04/08/2016 12:00

I'm due 23 Jan, and like heybaby really don't feel like I have a bump yet, just an unflattering bloat in the afternoons! Where is it hiding!?

I have had really terrible sickness for the last 2 weeks, but it is definitely easing and apart from headaches this week, don't feel very pregnant any more!

I've got all the info about the NHS & NCT classes, but just unsure of which to choose yet. Apparently spaces go very quickly for the NCT classes so have reserved a space just in case I go down that route.

MagpieCursedTea · 04/08/2016 14:43

I did NCT classes the last time around (long story but my midwife told us that the NHS classes weren't running anymore then they changed their minds but we'd already booked NCT). I also went to NHS classes with my friend the year before so have experienced both. The NCT classes are more in depth and sociable. No one at the NHS classes spoke to each other. I also had a friend I met at NCT who did NHS before and she said the same, they tried to chat to people but no one seemed interested. I think NCT is great for building a support network in those early days, it's expensive though! NHS classes are good for basic information though, especially on your local services.
Depending on where you live, there may be other organisations who do antenatal. I'm thinking of looking for a hypnobirthing antenatal class this time.

Tabitha78 · 04/08/2016 20:20

I'm still around! Hasn't been much to say - I have a podgy stomach now at 15+2, so the days of normal clothes are numbered! Thought I'd escaped sickness but just been sick in the pub car park on the way out for dinner - so that was the end of date night! DP now making me toast and butter!

We're looking at nct and nhs - will probably go with nct, just waiting for DP to decide what he wants!

hopingandwaiting · 04/08/2016 20:55

I'm still around! 15+4 and just started getting a tiny bump in my lower abdomen. Have always got bloated towards the end of the day that's made me look 6months gone, but I had quite a bit of stretching and pulling pains over the weekend and felt like I'd done 200 sit ups, and on Monday morning I had a tiny little bulge - must have been having a growing spurt! I think I've been very lucky to get away with no sickness, just nausea that's stopped in the last couple of weeks. Have had a few headaches recently though, and some serious trouble sleeping - I seem to be awake for 2 hours after getting up for my 4am pee! A bit of backache too, and some wind 💨 Grin

Have my 16 week midwife appointment next week, then a holiday then my 20 week scan on 6th September. We're definitely gonna find out the sex, though we've had a few people try and persuade us otherwise!

Surf25 · 04/08/2016 21:00

Hi all, I'm still here too. 16+2 now with my wee ID twins Grin had another scan this week which was lovely and dh's first chance to see them moving and wriggling! Consultant says if all goes well they'll aim to deliver at 36 weeks so they'll be here by Christmas!
Am similar to a couple of you in that am tell 5ft 11in or so. Still in normal clothes but showing earlier than with previous pregnancies...probably because there are two of them! Need to look out my maternity clothes. I found Next's longer length trousers and so on ok and not too expensive.
Still feeling quite sick but a definite improvement as the weeks go by. I am not on the facebook group either so it's nice to have somewhere to chat with others!
I did NHS antenatal class with dd1 and it was a bit rubbish to be honest. Just my experience though, didn't help that it folded after no-one else turned up for the second meeting and then I had dd1 anyway!!
Friends have had good experiences of NCT and NHS though. Maybe you could speak to someone locally about how they found the classes near to you as there may be quite a variation certainly in NHS provision across the country? I know what you mean about putting the cash towards a pram! Also, might depend on how many other mums/pregnant ladies you already know? I didn't need social contact from antenatal classes but it's a lifeline for a lot of folk who maybe don't know others who are expecting or are on maternity leave.

Sorry for mammoth post! Blush

hels18 · 05/08/2016 10:12

hopingandwaiting we are 20 week scan buddies! Although we aren't finding out the gender, however much we both want to. I've always wanted that big reveal and my husband to tell me what we have Smile (probably living in a birthing dream world but hey, got to try with the first!)

I have a few other pregnant/mum friends, but mostly through work or uni, so not many in my area. I think we are just going to go for the NHS classes now as I'm sure I'll meet other people through pregnancy yoga and baby classes when the baby is here.

Jodie1982 · 05/08/2016 14:08

I'm 17wks today it's going so quick!!
Still not on fb group. I've noticed EvansAndThePrince has been on other threads, probably too busy to deal with all the requests to join the fb group. Think I'll just stay on here. Really looking pregnant now, no breathing in holds the bump in. 😁
Absolutely suffering with my back problems. Very frustrated and depressed with it all, dreading later on when bump is heavier 😣
Glad everyone is doing well.
