This thread is making me ridiculously broody! I have a Jan 2014 baby, can't believe there's now a Jan 2017 thread!

Congratulations to all and Flowersto anyone still suffering with sickness and those suffering with HG, I've been there and it's bloody awful! Cyclizine was a lifesaver during my PG!

hopingandwaiting · 19/07/2016 10:56

Scan went marvellously!! A little wriggler with a good strong heartbeat Grin Such relief and so pleased to be able to tell people (though I've been rubbish at keeping it a secret so far!)

GingerIdiot · 19/07/2016 11:15

Congrats hopingandwaiting!!

Tabitha78 · 19/07/2016 11:57

Great news hoping !

Glitterball86 · 19/07/2016 12:14

'Twas all ok, due 24th January and ironically scan was done by same lady who scanned me numerous times with ds last year, still doesn't feel real can't wait to start telling people now!!

peonylover22 · 19/07/2016 12:42

Congratulations Glitter and Hoping. Hope everybody is doing okay in this heat - I'm just relieved not to be in final trimester during this heatwave!

GingerIdiot · 19/07/2016 12:52

Are you all in the Facebook group? We were just saying that ... at least we're 3-4 months and not 9!!

Jodie1982 · 19/07/2016 13:41

I'm not in the group. Is it really really private?

GingerIdiot · 19/07/2016 14:07

Yep! Only those that are in the group can see what you're saying.

MagpieCursedTea · 19/07/2016 14:22

Jodie it's secret group so it doesn't even show up that you're in the group and can't be searched for, it's very secure.

Glitter and hoping great news on the scans!

I'm not dealing well with the heat but I'm a northerner and I never do!

Glitterball86 · 19/07/2016 16:53

How do we join the group?

DarkLikeVader · 19/07/2016 17:02

I'm dealing quite well with the heat today after nearly fainting three times in Saturday- I've decamped to the paddling pool 🙂

Great scan news glitter and hoping. If someone could say how to join the group that'd be great - we told the rest of the family at the weekend so it's starting to feel a bit more real - 16 weeks tomorrow!

MagpieCursedTea · 19/07/2016 17:14

If you want to join the Facebook group, send a PM to EvansAndThePrince, she admins the group.

I've PM'd EvansAndThePrince to request to join fb group.

hels18 · 20/07/2016 07:25

I had my official scan on my birthday, so was lovely to see the little wriggler again! It was a cheeky little thing and kept turning around to show us it's back and bottom, but we did get some pics of it face down!

Unfortunately this week (13+4) has brought on some really bad sickness and has affected me every time I eat. I've been trying plain foods, little and often, but the only thing that I can really hold down is water, juice (I'm juicing my own veggies and fruit so getting some nutrients) and lemon sorbet. I currently haven't held any solid food down since Saturday lunch so am hoping I can see the doctor today. Don't think it's the heat as I was fine on holiday a couple of weeks ago. Just as I thought I was starting to feel better! I can't get to work as I'm so tired and worried I'll be ill on the train, and I certainly won't be much use when I'm there :(

hels18 · 20/07/2016 07:27

Oh, and the headaches! Rubbish.

CarrotVan · 20/07/2016 09:30

Hels18 the nausea has just kicked in for me too at 13 weeks. I'm eating little and often to keep it at bay but as a result I'm putting on weight quicker than I'd like.

I'm really starting to show now and it's getting harder to disguise - especially in the hot weather.

Jodie1982 · 20/07/2016 11:38

The headaches are poop. I'm getting a horrendous one almost daily.

My children know I'm expecting now (apart from 14yr old DD she won't be happy, she lives with her Dad, dreading telling her) They cried with happiness. I was so scared that they would be upset another Sibling is coming.

Today is cooler yay! Hope you ladies enjoy the cooler air.

Tabitha78 · 20/07/2016 17:02

I'm getting bad headaches daily too. Fed up and affecting work. Not sure what to do about it, the only thing that used to work was codeine but can't take that now

DarkLikeVader · 20/07/2016 17:44

Tabitha - my neurologist & GP have both told me its ok to take codeine in pregnancy as long as it's not less than 24 hours before birth (how the hell you'd know in the last month when that would be I don't know so I stopped taking it nearer the end of my last pregnancy!).

Tabitha78 · 20/07/2016 19:09

That's interesting Dark, my midwife told be not too. If headaches continue I'll head to the gp.

peonylover22 · 21/07/2016 09:16

I've sent Evans a PM.

My mother (who has 4 children and worked as a midwife in her 20s) keeps asking when next scan is (not til 20 weeks) and agitating for private scan if midwife doesn't check baby's heartbeat at 16 week appointment next week. I know she is just excited for first grandchild but her anxiety is winding me up and making me worry when I was previously feeling pretty relaxed!

EvansAndThePrince · 21/07/2016 11:09

Hi everyone, just a reminder that if you want to join the Facebook group I need your email address. If you've asked and haven't received a request to join through email, send me another PM and I'll try again.

DarkLikeVader · 21/07/2016 14:12

Thanks for adding me Evans!

I went for my 16 wk appointment this morning and got to hear the heartbeat!

Tabitha78 · 21/07/2016 17:58

I'm going to stay on here rather than Facebook until I tell work later in August, so hope a few of you are sticking around!
