I think it depends where you go, Aye. The one I had at 8 weeks was £80 but I've seen then for around £50. I'm going to have another at 16 weeks I think - you're right, the wait is just too long!

Weighed myself this morning and I've lost 2lb since Monday's scan weighing... I'm definitely eating less and better now I feel less nauseous so I guess that's why. Overall I've put on 4lb so far!

JoMalones · 21/05/2016 10:48

Hello. Sorry I've been awol. At our scan we found out I have already put on a whooping 2 stone!Blush I've been sick most days but if I feel nauseous then I eat and it goes away so 6 meals a day and no exercise has quickly added up! No wonder my due date keeps moving forward!

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 21/05/2016 10:51

I had put on 2.5 lb when I was taken ill at 13w exactly. Now at 14+6 I'm 8.5 lb down on pre preg, 11lb down on 2 weeks ago. Have managed to eat enough to just about maintain for 3 days now so hopefully we're turning around a bit. Not that I couldn't have done with losing it beforehand so no too worried about that aspect (plenty of other stuff to worry about instead now Sad).

smellsofelderberries · 21/05/2016 10:55

I was up 2kgs at my 12 week scan. I still think that's because I went from working 10 hours a day, walking at least 5 miles a day, to sitting around at home most days trying to curb my nausea with carbs. I'm surprised I've not gained more, and I'm hoping the weight gain slows down a bit now that I'm working more and my appetite seems to have diminished.

coppergrey · 21/05/2016 11:30

Hope you're ok, LittleGrey x

almondbutter · 21/05/2016 11:39

need well done on your fundraiser, though it can't have been easy. I hope you enjoyed your curry x

Bollyroo · 21/05/2016 11:49

I'm 15wks tomorrow and still 2kg down on pre-preggo weight. I've asked both my GP and midwife and they said there's nothing to worry about until much later in the pregnancy.

In an effort to spark my appetite, we had a cheese fondue for lunch and have both been sitting in a gooey stupor for the last few hours. Soo tasty.

DH and I are heading overseas for work this week and I'm quite concerned that I won't be able to stay awake for a whole day. I usually work from home so have had the luxury of napping on and off. Does anyone have any tips for staying awake in front of clients?!

almondbutter · 21/05/2016 12:10

I generally don't weigh myself because I don't find it psychologically helpful and what's heavy for me at 5'10'' is different from an average heavy, so it's not useful when I hear friends of 5'4'' talking about what they consider 'fat'. However on the useful metric of DH's opinion and the practical measure that is my clothes, I haven't put on much at all. Everything except bras still fits and I think I have lost some off my waist and put a little onto my tummy, but otherwise not much change. Will find out for sure at midwife next week.

Beelzebubble · 21/05/2016 14:26

I've put on approximately 8 million stone

AyeAmarok · 21/05/2016 16:58

Thanks copper and Fedup, I'm glad it's less than 100, I thought it might be 300 and had a feeling I was going to end up doing it anyway in desperation! Will definitely look into it.

I have put on 1.5kg and am 15 weeks. My Waist/stomach is at least 2 inches bigger.

almondbutter · 21/05/2016 17:02

We have friends coming over this evening, a couple of DH's good mates. They're lovely and she is pregnant, due late November. I am lying in bed and have been all day. All I have kept down is half a bottle of chocolate milk, everything else has come right back up. An evening looking at food and talking to people seems like climbing Everest. I'd have asked DH to cancel but our social lives have been screwed by my puking and he's so excited about seeing them and doing something nice.

FuzzyOwl · 21/05/2016 17:32

Hope you find you end up enjoying tonight almond.

I am tucked up in bed with the cat. Such a rocknroll lifestyle!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Bought my first Maternity clothes today.

A maxi dress from H&M.

Starting to feel a bit real!

RuskBaby · 21/05/2016 18:09

I'm down 3.5kg but sickness has definitely lessened so will start gaining soon I think!

We had a lovely meal in Christchurch then broke down on a roundabout just before the motorway on the way home, had to push the car off to the side of the road in the pouring rain. It's been an eventful day for us.

Jamjar12 · 21/05/2016 18:11

Hope you feel better soon Almond, it's so shitty isn't it? :(

I've been out for lunch with a friend today and returned home with the intention of tidying my house. However, I seem to have got stuck to the sofa! Oops. I did buy a nice dress for a garden birthday party tomorrow though that is going to show off my bump a bit which is exciting.

I'm about a stone lighter than I was pre pregnancy but I'm currently 2 days with puking (sounds like AA!) so it might start going back on. I found this online (I've rounded up/down close numbers so it's not totally accurate)

Approximate explanation for pregnancy weight gain; Apparently baby is 8lb, placenta is 1.5lb, amniotic fluid is 2lb, womb grows 2lb, blood and fluid increase 5lb, boobs 1lb, generally healthy fat gain 9lb

Just in case y'all needed to feel better about weight gain- there's science behind it!!!

Jamjar12 · 21/05/2016 18:12

*2 days without puking

FuzzyOwl · 21/05/2016 18:13

I remember that last time I gave birth and was home within 36 hours. I weighed myself expecting to have lost a significant amount of the 2.5 stone I put on and found I had lost one single solitary pound!

fuzzy you do swell after giving birth though don't you? Pictures of me in the few days after DD was born I've got a really round face.

So tired today. Had a nap before dinner but seriously considering going to bed soon.

needanewjob · 21/05/2016 19:11

Thanks almond it was hard but positive. It really helps me to manage my grief if I'm able to do something constructive for the hospital.

Fedupithink · 21/05/2016 19:23

That's really positive Need

Sorry to those of you feeling rubbish. I am so very tired today. Went out for dinner last night and didn't get home until 11 and its knocked me for six.

Beelzebubble · 21/05/2016 21:53

Need you're wonderful for doing that. I can't even begin to imagine your pain x

needanewjob · 21/05/2016 23:04

Thanks fed beelze she was my eldest and died very suddenly when she was seven. She would have been 9 this year. we all miss her so much. This will be our rainbow baby we hope x

FuzzyOwl · 21/05/2016 23:35

So sorry to hear about your DD need and I think raising money was a lovely idea.

smellsofelderberries · 22/05/2016 00:15

need, I can't even imagine. I'm so sorry, and what a wonderful thing to do for the hospital.

DH and I had a Harrods gift card so we've bought our first things for the baby. He got really into it, which was sweet, and we had a quick look at the Bugaboo Donkey and he quite liked it so I think we'll end up with that after the move. We ended up having a bit chat about names over supper and I think we have our boys name (we've had the girl options for a while). I'm really pleased, and I hope we get to use it!

CakeAndChocolate · 22/05/2016 09:03

need there are no words. My heart goes out to you, your family and of course your DD. I think it's wonderfully generous of you to raise money in her name
