Yes, the Hunger hits me like a freight train.

Helgathehairy · 14/05/2016 17:44

I'm just back from the cinema with DH. I had a medium bag of popcorn and had to open the button on my jeans - thank god it was dark!
Weighed myself on Friday and I was only up about half a pound - which is crazy the amount I've been eating!

SouthDownsSunshine · 14/05/2016 18:00

Any news anew? Still thinking of you xx

Bigfam · 14/05/2016 18:04

Me too sunshine, really hope they haven't kept her worrying and waiting all this time...

Anewleaf · 14/05/2016 18:28

Hi all. I'm back at home now having got some sleep. All well with the baby in the right place nice strong heartbeat and bang on 7+1 too. All such a relief. Thanks soo much. Going to have a read up on all that I've missed. Flowers for you all xx

barkingtreefrog · 14/05/2016 18:30

Been out all day, still no news from anew?

I am the same on the eating all day until the evening, when I just don't want to and am not hungry anymore. I was on a course today and the food was all provided. I'd already had breakfast before I left the house, then there were lovely pastries in the morning, I had one on arrival and another during morning break. And an apple. And a cookie. Then lunch was amazing - and all laid out like a buffet so I had a bit of everything - potatoes, roasted veggies, pasta, chicken, mushroom pie, salad etc, plate all piled high, plus dessert. Then another cookie in the afternoon. And for the train home I went to the M&S food store and got an egg and cress sandwich, a bag of salt and malted vinegar crisps and a raspberry triffle. Feel like a total pig! It's like I do nothing but eat! I keep reading stuff about 'eating for two is a myth, you shouldn't be increasing your calorie intake' but if I keep eating I don't feel as sick....

I'm way too scared to buy maternity clothes (and I'm tight, so I'd rather not buy them at all if I can adapt and get away with it, particularly as I'll never be pregnant again) but I have bought three dresses in the Next Clearance (between £10-13 each, bargain!) which are tunic style or floaty, so they hide my bloated belly but are not 'maternity' so will just join my normal work clothes but will also accommodate a bump if everything goes well and I have one! Smile

Fantastic news anew

SouthDownsSunshine · 14/05/2016 18:42

Yay anew that's brilliant! I hope you get a good night's sleep tonight x

peanutbutter2409 · 14/05/2016 18:44

That's fantastic news Anew!

I had a scan today with my harmony test and the baby is now measuring 11+4 instead of 11....so growing well! We'll have the results by next Friday which I can't wait for! Was so amazing to see the baby wriggling around.Smile

I am feeling bloody awful today though. I was awake from 3am with what I thought was restless legs but turns out it may be SPD as my hip and groun on my left hand side are excruciatingly painful. I'm in agony and also have what feels like the start of a migraine, so have some ice cubes in a tea towel on my head and a hot water bottle between my legs - oh the glamour! The midwife today said that as I have hyper mobility it's likely to get worse so I'll need to get regular osteopath/chiropractor treatment for the SPD.
Hope everyone else is having more comfortable evenings!

leotwist · 14/05/2016 19:09

Glad it all working out well for you, Anew! And commiserations, peanutbutter2409; it sounds like you're having a miserable time of it. Flowers

Helgathehairy · 14/05/2016 19:40

Horray anew brilliant news

excitedmummytob · 14/05/2016 19:46

So relieved! Scan today and dated 11 weeks instead of expected 10w7D so we're happy here!171BPM heart rate and very lively legs! X

tisilisa · 14/05/2016 20:36

So pleased for you Anewleaf. I'm glad everything is ok.
I'm not feeling too bad today just super tired so DP has gone out for a while so I can chill and watch crappy tv 🤗
Does anyone else suffer with insatiable thirst? I'm drinking litres of water and peeing like crazy but I'm constantly thirsty. Is this normal? 😏

Bigfam · 14/05/2016 20:39

Brilliant anew, so happy for you.
What a lovely scan excited.

Dd3 (my youngest, still a baby 16months) has just projectile vomited all over my bed, I've had to change all the sheets, she's come over really sick, maybe it's her turn with the pox, are they usually sick? Sad

Bella1985 · 14/05/2016 21:18

tisilisa I'm with you on the thirst. And eventhough I'm drinking and peeing loads I still can't get my pee to be clear, I don't think I can physically drink more water!

Great news anew and excited Smile

Bella1985 · 14/05/2016 21:20

And great news peanut too! Can't keep up there's so many of us!

Helbelle75 · 14/05/2016 22:17

Lovely scan pics. I'm permanently thirsty as well. Hunger's not so bad now nausea is taking over!

leotwist · 14/05/2016 22:23

Me too, re drinking & peeing, Bella & tisilsa. Every 1-2 hrs, 24 hrs a day, & luminous yellow! Sorry, tmi. Drinking at least 3-4 litres a day so reckon colour due to my 1st trimester IVF meds. Overall, I reckon the relentlessness frequency is a good thing cos the ol' kidneys are getting a good flushing. Smile

peanutbutter2409 · 15/05/2016 02:50

Wide awake again....anyone have any suggestions for insomnia? Forgot to put a picture of my latest scan earlier, the little one that makes all of this craziness 100% worth it

More scan waiting and symptom analysis from the December 2016 babies!
bumbleclat · 15/05/2016 02:54

peanutbutter2409 Me too.
Scan is gorgeous, how amazing!
Im waking up loads which usually ends up with me committing at about 5am then going back to sleep so to hopefully curtail this Ive had a small bag of mini cheddar, a ginger root biscuit and a glass of fresh lime squeezed into water, Im amazed at how much this has knocked the nausea on the head.
Looks like Ill be watching outage videos all night.
(Doesn't help that I went to bed at 6pm)
What do you do to try and get back to sleep?

bumbleclat · 15/05/2016 02:54

vomiting not committing!

bumbleclat · 15/05/2016 02:55

YOUTUBE not outage!

DartmoorDoughnut · 15/05/2016 03:12

Been awake for 40mins, stupid insomnia! Hopefully just a once off ... DS sleeping next to me so no videos here!

Hope DD3 is ok bigfam Sad

Loving all the scan pics! Slightly jealous too though, still ages to wait

peanutbutter2409 · 15/05/2016 04:22

Magnesium helps me normally but I've forgotten to take it the past couple of nights - which could explain why I'm still awake!

Firsttimer16 · 15/05/2016 06:41

Ah great news anew and everyone else with your scans - they're amazing!! Well done. I have mine tomorrow - terrified/excited!

I am also incredibly thirsty all the time. Waking up at 5am on the dot desperate to pee, but also falling asleep at 9pm every night, so I feel like I've just shifted time zones!
I am also getting insatiable hunger, feel like I'm going to pass out, then after 2 bites of food I feel full and sick...then cycle begins again 30 mins later!
