Evening all. I've finally got my booking in appointment in the morning yay! I'm 9+1 so still over 3 weeks til my scan.
I have to put the big 2 kids in breakfast club tomorrow at 8am so I can make it to hospital for 9. They think it's because of my migraines. Can't wait til the scan so I can tell them the truth!! We just want to be able to tell them together and dh is thankfully home for the scan

Yay weechops I've got my booking in appointment on Wednesday! 9+1 today too. Haven't had my scan date yet so hoping MW will book it after wednesday! It's very exciting seeing everyone's scan pics!

Quick update, my emergency scan showed a very bouncy happy baby, so relieved. Dated 12 weeks. Proper scan on Thursday, can't wait.

I have my scan and consultant appointment tomorrow... The letter said this might take several hours

I dont know if that's a local thing (haven't been to this hospital before) or a twin thing, but it seems like a long time to me! Fingers crossed I'll be able to see two happy babies swimming around tomorrow...

Urgh, I typed a really long post about testing etc and then my phone crashed and I lost it all! Bugger!

Anyway, great scan news Rosie, any news from Azure?

I'm having all the tests because as I understand it, t13 or t18 carry a greater risk of the pg ending in miscarriage, so I'm hoping that a clear result will help a tiny bit with my anxiety. If we are high risk I wouldn't act on it, I'd just be more prepared for the worst (which for me would be losing it).
We should get out harmony results in a couple of days.

Scan today went okay, measuring 11+3 which is correct for dates. 12 week scan next Wednesday when they'll do bloods as well.
I think if anything can make this feel real it will be walking into that maternity unit for a 12 week scan (the epu I've been going to is in the main hospital building). I spent years walking past that door to go round the back to the infertility clinic, having to pass pg women with large bumps stood outside smoking while I was doing everything possible to get pg and having no luck. The counselling after the miscarriages was in the same building, walking past the maternity unit with beaming couples leaving with new babies. It would be nice to have some pleasant memories of my own associated with it, rather than what it has stood for so far!!

One wiggly baby accounted for! DH managed to get out of work, it was amazing to see the little peanut together for the first time. All looks good and the doc had no concerns over bleeding. As a bonus, I'm actually measuring five days ahead so 12 weeks tomorrow! The official edd will be amended at the dating scan next week though.
I'm still a bit shellshocked that there is a baby in there...

We've moved into our new home and I can finally think about preparing for this baby. :) I need to register with the local gp and get a booking in appointment etc. I've had two home births but I'm not keen this time so I need to figure out my options. I haven't had that private scan I was considering, but symptoms still seem very strong and even though spotting is on and off, it's mostly off. I am going to remain confident that all is well.

With everything going on in my life recently, it's been hard to get excited about baby. So I've bought a few slings to put aside for when he/she is born. I'm a bit of an addict.

I'm so excited seeing all these beautiful scans, it's definitely making it all feel more real!

I had my 9 week input scan yesterday (I guess this is a Belgian thing?). After 5 episodes of bleeding I was quite nervous but all was well and we got to see our wriggly baby and hear the heartbeat for the first time. They think I'm actually 10w+1, I am totally in love
My 12 week scan will be on 2nd June so not too long to wait!

Hope anyone getting scans this week has a wonderful experience too

So I've been given my 12 scan date as 7th June but after my early scan my dates got moved back by 6 days. So I will be 11 w5 is this going to be to early to have the 12 week scan. I've seen you can have it between 11-13 but wanted to check before I look to see if I can moved it. Any advise would be great?

Hannah, I think that's fine for a dating scan, but if you want the nuchal I was told you have to be 11+6 to 13+6. But I'm not in the UK, so the rules might be different. My dates changed by six days between my early scan and my dating scan! The early scans aren't particularly reliable for dating.

barking, congratulations on the scan! Is this the furthest you've got with a pregnancy? When I was pregnant with DS (after 4 years fertility problems and miscarriage), I felt the same, all my worries were focused on miscarriage and anything else was a side issue. I really hope it works out for you this time.

This time my worries are different, after getting pregnant easily I just have this sense that it can never be this easy for us and there will have to be some complication for the baby or me to make up for it. Like we were lucky to get DS and should have just been satisfied with that. Which I know isn't logical, because of course some people do just get lucky. Maybe most people.

When does sickness end? I'm 12.2 today and just thrown up my breakfast after a second of eating it!

12 weeks today and I've got my maternity jeans out. Should have done this weeks ago like the rest of you comfortable ladies!

theaks with my 1st two I was sick until about 16-20 weeks. It would tail off then I'd think that's it gone, and then it would come back!! But apparently for most it'll go soon after 12 weeks

For the Nuchal I think they do have quite a strict time frame, because I had to move mind back due to being on holiday and she had to double check that those few days difference would still be okay. So probably best thing call and check hannah
For just a dating scan I think they're quite flexible because a friend of mine didn't get hers Til 15 weeks!! (I would not cope waiting that long!!! )

Can't remember who posted about moving house but we've just moved too! I don't know what it is but the house S.M.E.L.L.S - I think dust from being shut for months over winter before we moved in. The LG floor/basement is where the kitchen, dining and utility room (and a future play room!!) .. So quite essential to everyday life.. it's so bad that I can't even go there! My mum suggested I thoroughly wash the floors and run a disinfectant over everything... Any other suggestions? I bought some candles from Sainsburys that smelled nice in the shop but gross in the house 😷 Don't want to be gagging in my own home
