*stubbleturnips don't worry ive put on a stone also x

becciandbump · 20/05/2016 17:50

fiddllesticks amazing how big the arms and legs are compared to the buds of limbs we saw on our 8 week scan makes u realise how quickly baby is growing I can t wait for ours in 2 weeks x

Helgathehairy · 20/05/2016 17:52

I'm feeling REALLY rough today. It's been raining all day so DD couldn't go on her slide, mum cancelled seeing us today (slightly relieved as haven't told her I'm pregnant and would have to pretend I felt fine but it would have made DD happy), went to Tesco as we have no milk but left and forgot the milk. DH is gone paint balling (he goes out very rarely so totally don't mind) but evening tends to be pretty bad for me so DD is eating pizza watching cartoons and I'm counting down to bedtime. Which will also be rough as DH usually does it so she'll act up for me.

Sorry just needed a rant.

StubbleTurnips · 20/05/2016 19:30

Thanks Flowers , still a bit gutted but I'm sure I'll get over it

fiddle I had a sonographer do the same last time 'body habitus' too, as well as huffing and puffing at my shape chub. She was told in no uncertain terms that I'm sure she's scanned fatter people without issue, and thinner ones with more issue depending on the bodies. DH was Shock at me but I couldn't be dealing with it.

swancourt · 20/05/2016 19:44

Hi ladies, just checking in to keep up!

Good luck raisin, have everything crossed for you.

Great scan pic fiddlesticks! Mine from a week ago is just two blobs - the yolk sac and the baby. Even on the screen you could only tell one from the other by the flickering heartbeat.

Felt sick all day yesterday, and so so so so shattered, and winced every time a child/husband hugged me. Today I don't feel sick, am ordering in a Thai with glee, and need to keep prodding my boobs to remind me they're still there. Roll on more nausea tomorrow when I'm at DD1's school fair, manning the barbecue :D

lilydaisyrose · 20/05/2016 20:21

Flying visit from a busy busy Lily! It's mental here with a imminent work deadline for my business and 2 x parties this weekend for my son's birthday. Big Indian for tea with peshwari naan (I was so hungry!) so feel a bit more ready to face everything! Hope everyone is well and I'll catch up wih you all soon.

TipBoov · 20/05/2016 20:24

I'm worrying about weight gain... I haven't weighed myself since pre-pregnancy, and the midwife recorded my weight in kgs so it doesn't mean much to me as I always go by stones and lbs!!

Its tough because my appetite comes and goes so I have been eating rubbish - lots of carbs. Also a takeaway has just been delivered, I just really fancied some samosas!

How is everyone else's food consumption going? I figure I can eat a lot more healthily in a few weeks when the nausea subsides.

DartmoorDoughnut · 20/05/2016 20:29

I've put in half a stone already, but I was a stone over weight in any case so really I've put on a stone and a half ... Bmi was 28 at booking in. Need to get a grip but feeling shattered and running around after a toddler all day means I reach for the carbs AND the sugar ... Basically I reckon I'm fucked Grin

OrianaBanana · 20/05/2016 20:29

I eat what I can very frequently as if I don't then the nausea rolls back. Even so sometimes I feel nauseous when I eat. My sister (who's never been pregnant) told me off for not eating enough veg so I ate a carrot Grin

OrianaBanana · 20/05/2016 20:30

I fancy a lot of orange juice unfortunately which my stomach is not happy with Sad

SouthDownsSunshine · 20/05/2016 21:15

I've put on a lot - it feels like a stone as I've not exercised so muscle has turned to flab. Still feeling sick if I don't eat, but my nausea has subsided from constant hell to constant low levels with occasional peaks. Having to deal with a sick dd is not helping.

Spoke to my boss and I'm going back on Tuesday, if all is well with the scan Monday. I'm looking forward to it, I'm working from home next week so no long commute.

bumbleclat · 20/05/2016 21:20

Im the same, have to eat regularly to ward off the nausea.
In bed now when does this all get less tiring? (Im week 9)

becciandbump · 20/05/2016 21:32

bumblecat I spoke to my midwife as my exhaustion feels severe and she just said it will ease in the second trimester im really hoping so as im feeling low in mood being so tired all the time. I'm week 10 x

bumbleclat · 21/05/2016 04:26

I'm hoping so too becci I can't believe all this investment that the body does into growing these babies and we're not out of the proverbial-woods yet.

bumbleclat · 21/05/2016 04:46

I'm also wondering g why there's never any food in my sick? (TMI) I feel like I'm constantly grazing but whenever I throw up its always just bright yellow watery liquid.
Apologies.

barkingtreefrog · 21/05/2016 06:22

raisin that's really unfair of your mum! Hmm Hope she's behaving herself now.

I'm away for the weekend at a 40th birthday party. Kept being passed glasses of bubbly, which I tried to pass to others, but one person said 'no, that's yours' and when I said it was fine, I'd already got one, someone else shouted 'you liar, you keep giving yours away, you've not had any!' Erm, thanks. Was trying not to draw attention to that.

I put some lemonade in a wine glass and hoped that covered me.....

I haven't put on any weight according to the scales, but I've got more of a stomach than I've ever had in my life. Which is particularly attractive as it has multiple red needle marks and bruises on it from all the injections!!

To all those feeling drained it might be worth checking iron levels if you haven't perked up in the second tri, try and eat iron rich foods if you can stomach them for now and see if that helps?

TinySalmon · 21/05/2016 07:22

Me too bumblecat! Even if I had eaten an hour ago or so, nothing comes back. To be fair I've only been properly sick twice. Most of the time I'm gagging (attractive!).

Bigfam · 21/05/2016 07:26

I hate bringing food up, much rather it was the lovely yellow stuff Grin

Gah, why does dd3 wake up so early, she's been climbing all over me since half 5.

lilydaisyrose · 21/05/2016 07:45

It's gagging and liquid here too.

Hannahcarp27 · 21/05/2016 07:53

Had my booking in appointment on Thursday all went well and midwife was lovely thank god. Only problem is doctor had not referred me to the hospital so no scan appointment has been scheduled for me so decided to have a private one this morning to check all is ok. I'm super scared really hoping all is ok.

Have been finding it hard to create new reasons not to drink. Have big work drinks next week and have told of couple of people I'm on antibiotics and it's too embarrassing to say why. Am hoping they will spread the word that probably all think I have some strange disease now but oh well!!

We have also found out recently that 4 of our friends are having babies around the same 4 months which will be amazing!! Will let you all know how scan goes later Smile

babyinthacorner · 21/05/2016 07:55

Hello ladies, just thought I'd say to everyone suffering from sickness/nausea that I'm feeling like I've turned a bit of a corner - I'm 11+6. The nausea has gone from all day to just evenings over the past couple of weeks, and I'd been having to lie down after our evening meal, heavy breathing as I felt so bad.
However, last night I was able to eat dinner and stay up for about an hour afterwards as I felt OK! Still absolutely exhausted but not that awful sick feeling I've been having. Add that to the fact that I feel pretty much back to normal from morning - afternoon, I'm quite excited about life again!
I know everyone's different - and my nausea didn't stop til about week 17 last time, but just thought I'd give you a happy story! Fingers crossed you all start feeling better soon!

SaintExupery · 21/05/2016 09:13

Had my booking in with midwife yesterday which was a nice milestone we've not reached before. Had to laugh when I read my notes afterwards though - so many mistakes! DH was with me and at one point he looked at her screen to check the spelling of his his name and said, 'Er, does it say there that we're Muslim?' She was like 'Oh yes, look, that's next to None, that's what I meant to put.' Hmm

Hugs to everyone gaining weight and feeling bad for it. I've put on half a stone and am quite petite so it really shows.

Now have an agonising 12-day wait till my scan (I'll be 13w). Loving all the great pics and sending positive vibes to raisin. Good luck today Hannah!
