Bless you biking i really hope your rest is helping with the pain!
Iam oh how annoying, will your DH need to be there too or will it be okay for her to talk to you alone?

iamdivergent · 19/05/2016 15:54

She can talk to alone, she wanted to make sure that DH is up for a home birth and I'm not going ahead without his say so lol but he is really keen probably more so than me she said that she can come back out and talk to him nearer the time if needs be. I just need this baby to stay cooking for another 10 days then I'll be able to get the home birth provided there is mw cover Grin

GrubbyWindows · 19/05/2016 16:12

Argh divergent what a pain!! You def need DH for the home birth talk- ours involved my DP getting detailed instructions on what to do if everything kicks off super quick and the baby arrives before the midwife! A bit alarming, but everything else was super reassuring and lovely. Great that she can pop back , phew!

Ladies - I've hit 35 weeks and suddenly, despite no constipation, I've got the most painful piles..... What can I do?! Help me please :)

iamdivergent · 20/05/2016 06:44

Drs? Or maybe just see pharmacist at Boots? I've never had them so can't really advise, sorry.

Good luck for today chilli Flowers and hope you're OK insideout and not too bored in hospital.

bikingintherain · 20/05/2016 07:49

mindful, using the cream from the pharmacist works wonders. Definitely worth investing in some.

MollieRos · 20/05/2016 08:42

Hello all. Emmeline and Iris arrived this morning. They were much smaller than anticipated at 4lb6 and 5lbs and were whisked off to intensive care. It's been a very traumatic day and I'm very woozy from the epidural. I've only been able to see them once. Emme is doing well - off the oxygen and just being monitored. Iris is now on 25% oxygen. It's really really hard not seeing them. And a shock that their lungs were so undeveloped despite steroid injections weeks ago. Emme is ready to feed but they won't let me express so she is having some formula tonight which I feel really upset by. The doctor told me that I was actually 4cm dilated in surgery and that I had probably gone into labour last night without knowing. That helps me not to feel as guilty as they were on their way anyway. Tomorrow morning we will be able to have skin to skin so just counting down the hours to see them again now.

mrsmugoo · 20/05/2016 10:48

laughingGnomette · 20/05/2016 11:29

Aww chilli huge congratulations on the arrival of your girls. I'm so sorry you are going through such a stressful time and haven't spent much time with them. It must be so frustrating and worrying. Sending lots of virtual hugs your way. I hope you are recovering well from your c-section. Xx

GrubbyWindows · 20/05/2016 11:34

Oh chilli huge congratulations and I'm so sorry to hear it's tough going!!
Such gorgeous names, and it sounds like they are doing so well!
Very hard to deal with all the info and things not going how you would like when you are also dealing with the surgery and the anesthetics- it sounds like you are already being an amazing mum.
Remember you can always ask for more info, on why they don't want you to express yet for instance, even if someone has already tried to explain. You can't be expected to take everything in at once! If you are worried by them not having skin to skin, some hospitals will let the dad do it if you can't yet. But I'm sure they are in super good hands- and doing so so well!!
Massive congratulations! Gestating twins this far along is amazing!!! You are absolutely not failing them- you are being incredible already!

wigelspigels · 20/05/2016 11:39

Awww chilli congratulations - hopefully the time flies for the skin to skin cuddles. Lovely names, look after yourself

Torfhinn · 20/05/2016 12:03

Congratulations chilli on the arrival of your daughters. I'm so sorry its been traumatic, but they'll both be in your arms soon. Sending wishes for a speedy recovery for all the of you Flowers

MollieRos · 20/05/2016 12:09

Congratulations chilli, and what beautiful names for your little girls. Sorry you've had such a difficult time, it must be really hard for you. I'd second talking to them again about expressing, just to find out the reasons- there's no reason for you to feel upset or guilty, and it might help you to feel a bit happier about things if you know the reasoning maybe? They're in excellent hands and I hope time goes quickly for you till you can have some cuddles Flowers

bikingintherain · 20/05/2016 12:25

Congratulations Chilli! I know it's been said before but amazing names. I always thinking naming twins must be difficult but they are perfect.

Hopefully Iris will be off the oxygen very soon. And I hope the wait to see them again doesn't feel too long. Well done again, such an achievement to carry twins.
