Good luck neha, you have a plan and you get to meet your son tomorrow. It's so strange how different hospitals have different policies my consultant is happy for me to get to 40wks as long as my bile remains normal but not more than 40wks. I've not have a single BH or anything and I'm 38wk tomorrow. Don't think my son has any plan to make an early appearance lol. inside sorry about the BP but glad ur doctor is looking after you & will try and give you another week or 2. A friend had her little one at 32wks and was 5lb and after a few weeks in hospital she came home and is doing great, so Fx everything will be well for you if baby has to come soon.

ILovePies · 15/05/2016 21:01

Thinking of you inside Flowers

nehagarg glad you've managed to come to a decision, I think you've made the right one! I have heard ELCS recovery time isn't too long, you also don't need to put your body through anymore stress! Certainly sounds like it doesn't want to be forced into labour! Good luck for tomorrow, will be thinking of you & can't wait to see pictures of your precious bundle Flowers

I seem to be having a lot of false starts, getting some very intense painful contractions for about an hour then they subside :(

ILovePies · 15/05/2016 21:06

Good luck to you too madrigal can't believe so many babies will be arriving soon! Feels slightly surreal!

iamdivergent · 15/05/2016 21:26

I've not really had any more BH in a few weeks, hoping they start again soon as they help get the body ready for labour.

Fx for tomorrow neha

emma85x · 15/05/2016 21:29

nehagarg Good luck for tomorrow I'll be thinking of you!!

I'm currently in hospital and can hear newborns!! All very exciting. Story to follow....

I was a tad concerned that I hadn't felt baby that much. However, I have an anterior placenta and have never really felt that much. But I was getting a bit concerned. I called maternity triage and came in this afternoon to get checked out fully thinking they'd say 'all fine' They put me on a monitor and were concerned baby was consistently at around 140 and they weren't seeing a range. Lazy apparently? They were concerned which shocked me. They asked me to lie on my side and baby's heartbeat went up to 168 - Way too high. So I'm staying in overnight for monitoring, another heartbeat monitoring at 10pm and a scan in the morning. So did not expect this. Feeling relieved that it's being looked into. Thankfully hospital bag went in the car this morning. Maybe it was my subconscious maternal instinct kicking in?!

Torfhinn · 15/05/2016 22:00

Oh emma, that's scary, so glad you went in to be checked... definitely maternal instinct! So glad you're being looked after and fx everything is on with baby.

Torfhinn · 15/05/2016 22:01

*ok with baby

wigelspigels · 15/05/2016 22:33

Nehagarg* a wee one tomorrow Grin
All these babies arriving, can't believe how quick time has flown

dollydaydream84 · 15/05/2016 22:58

Hope you get on ok Emma, good that you went in. Hope you get a bit of sleep xx

Good luck nehgarg xxx

Osirus · 15/05/2016 23:49

Good luck tomorrow neha. I can't believe how close we all are to seeing our babies! The last 8 months have flown by.

chillipopcorn1 · 16/05/2016 00:11

Fingers crossed for you Emma that must have been a shock. Good on you for following instincts and getting checked out.

Neha I think you've made the right choice. How exciting! Inside I will be having my ELCS on wed-Friday this week as well. Going to decide on date and time with the doctor this morning. I will be 36 weeks on Wednesday and he says he's happy from then on (he also said that 34 weeks is the 'magic number' for early babies and that is a key milestone). Last weights were estimated at 2.7kg so almost 6lb each which I would be delighted with!

Re:piles. Yuck! I've escaped stretch marks so far but have a few piles. Haven't used any cream on them as they don't hurt (but made my bikini wax a bit awkward!) and apparently they almost always disappear after birth??

So there will possibly be an extra three babies on this thread by Friday ShockGrin

MindfulBear · 16/05/2016 01:55

Just wanted to add that my mum had 4 CS due to PE. Kids born at:32w, 34, 36 & 34w.

All strong, independent and in good jobs now (age 30+). We all have national honours in sports too.

The longest cooked is actually the one who had most health problems growing up & slight educational needs - not that anyone Would notice in grown up life of course!

However my mum has not got over the fact she didn't experience natural birth, despite the fact she was very very ill with PE on 3 of those occasions.

So good luck with the consultant conversations guys.

Neha can You try reflexology if you have time? I hear good things but again only if the body is ready.

MindfulBear · 16/05/2016 02:01

Sorry chilli my piles did reduce after last time but disappear.... Sadly no!!!

GP recommended leaving them until I finished having kids but I wish I had not followed her advice. This time I'm having them treated. 4 years of my life blighted by those buggers!!!

insideout · 16/05/2016 04:02

Good luck tomorrow nehagarg

Hope all is ok emma , sometimes 'mothers intuition' is best.

Something amazing happened this evening my blood pressure was registering at 132/80 which is great Unfortunately both my roommates have the identical reading so call me cynical and all that....

new midwife on tonight and she hasn't inspired confidence in any of us especially as she said there is nothing much wrong with me. After my 'perfect' bp reading I told her that as there was nothing wrong I might as well go home and could she please get the duty dr to start discharge papers- her face was a picture ( disclaimer I am actually behaving and doing exactly what I am told but this midwife clearly knows best having not read my notes). Never mind see the consultant tomorrow again so should know more....

PoppetPants · 16/05/2016 07:06

Good luck Neha and hope everything is OK Emma. Inside, impressive stuff that someone who hasn't read your notes seems to have such strong opinions! Also nice to see that being in a room with two other ladies has caused your BP to magically synchronise Wink

Not much going on her, got our final antenatal session tomorrow and the midwife in the afternoon at 37+5. The choices midwife wants me to have a sweep at 38, 39, 40 and 41 weeks. Kind of hoping I get my first tomorrow so I don't have to wait til Thursday when I am officially 38 weeks. I am so bloody impatient to meet this baby and get my body back!

bikingintherain · 16/05/2016 07:15

I hope things have gone ok overnight emma.

I'm also getting a little impatient and tomorrow I am officially full term. Based on previous experience though it could be another 5 weeks. But I really should pack that hospital bag.....

Having been unsure I am now going on maternity leave at the end of this week. I'll be almost 38 weeks but I'm so tired I think even this week might feel like a slog.

mrsmugoo · 16/05/2016 07:36

Good luck today nehagarg!

I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow - term! Better pack the hospital bag!

Whole day with my toddler today with no group to break the day up because the HV is coming over to do his 27 month check - it's going to be a long day!

cautiousoptimist1 · 16/05/2016 07:57

Good luck today nehagarg, we will all be thinking of you.

Can't believe babies are arriving!

emma and inside hope everything is ok for you both.

2 weeks left at work for me, had a solid 6 hours sleep last night for the first time in months and I feel shattered today! Hospital bag is half packed - DH was panicking about needing it at the wedding we went to over the weekend so I have some basics in a bag but it now needs doing properly and I should probably wash the baby clothes and towels I've bought.

Snowflake16 · 16/05/2016 09:44

Good luck today nehagarg I bet you can't wait to see you little boy.
I'm 38 weeks tomorrow, these last few weeks are dragging, I can't wait for my girl to come.

Eastend2015 · 16/05/2016 09:58

Good luck Nehagarg!!

GrubbyWindows · 16/05/2016 10:57

Good luck all the hospital bound ladies!
emma I hope things have settled down overnight. inside I am going to concentrate on your good BP trading and ignore the dodge operator- optimism!!!

Eeep chili so exciting to get your date today- and the double babies!!!

neha i just realised... You might have a baby by now woohoo!!! Two more days for madrigal too!!!

laughingGnomette · 16/05/2016 11:22

Hugs to everyone in hospital at the moment. Very exciting about all of these babies about to arrive though Smile.

chili - that is a fab weight for twins, well done you. And no stretch marks? Icing on the cake :)

It's my last week of commuting into Central London and then maternity leave for a year - woohoo!! I've checked my diary and have three antenatal appointments already next week and will have a number of prospective childcare visits so it's not looking to relaxing for me so far. Oh well, at least I'll be freeee!!! Grin

MadrigalElectromotive · 16/05/2016 11:22

Good luck today neha!

Looks like there might be a little bevy of early babies by the end of the week!

emma Hope all was ok overnight and you aren't too anxious. Hope the scan gives good reassurance.

chilli How exciting that you will be having your babies this week too - if you have them on Wednesday then our little ones will share a birthday. Smile

inside I hope your random good blood pressure result wasn't a fluke and is instead a sign that it is all settling down. Good luck with the consultant later on.

nehagarg · 16/05/2016 12:48

Tha ks for the thoughts everyone. Sat in hospital waiting for labour ward to have an empty slot. I am starving! Poor DH just had his lunch with his head sticking out of the window to minimise the food smell for me. Lol

Anaesthetist has just been and said it could be in the next hour or so barring any emergencies. Fingers crossed

inside really hope that reading was a sign of your BP stabilising.

Good luck with the scan emma

I am a little worried about the ELCS too Madrigal. It is major surgery after all but remembering that its routine helps. Smile Best of luck eith yours on wednesday! You must be very excited to meet your little one. I know I am. Smile
