I know there's already a thread up for early Jan babies but couldn't see one for the rest of Jan (probably as I'm jumping the gun a bit here!).

This is my first proper pregnancy and I'm a planner by nature so I need some kind of place to talk about this so I don't drive my DP mad!

Bit about me:
I'm 28
This is baby number one
EDD 6th Jan.

Anyone else want to join me?

I'm completely neurotic today...just saying....

hels18 · 02/06/2016 15:37

Was feeling totally fine yesterday, no symptoms at all. Had a little moment of smugness that maybe I was reaching the 'glowy' phase. Then a moment of dread and a 'am I even pregnant' thought.
Then this morning, a strong wave of nausea hit me just as I was due to leave for work on public transport and knocked me out for an hour. Arrived at work late, sweaty and feeling gross!

Moral of the story - will never feel smug again!

MagpieCursedTea · 02/06/2016 15:38

Hels that sounds quite similar to my morning. I was feeling better for a while and thought I was through the worst of it, then started to worry and now I'm back to feeling shite. Can't win!

gingerlou84 · 02/06/2016 16:10

Hello, please can I join too? My first is due around January 25, which will be about a week before our first wedding anniversary! Everything happened rather fast (we waited 3 months before ttc, but then it seemed to happen first time, which was rather a surprise!). So far I haven't had many symptoms - a bit of nausea in the last couple of days. Irrationally hoping to be off my food a bit more, since I totally lost motivation post wedding and have put on quite a bit of weight in the last few months!

broodykg · 02/06/2016 16:32

So yesterday and today especially I have suddenly started feeling sick but as in the hungry sick kind of feeling, even though I have no interest in food. Anyone else the same?

Tabitha78 · 02/06/2016 17:30

My trousers are definitely feeling tight, despite me losing 3lbs since finding out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago! I feel for all of you with nausea. It hasn't hit me yet (and hope it holds off til after I go away for work next week!) but I'm not that bothered about food and have to remind myself to eat - very unusual for me!

Welcome to the newbies!

littlek86 · 02/06/2016 17:38

tabitha I think we have the same due date? No massive symptoms for me yet either...tiny bit nauseous but it comes and goes! Waiting for them to kick in. Are you doing another CB digi this weekend to see if it's gone up?

Tabitha78 · 02/06/2016 18:28

I'm 5+5 so if you are too littlek then yes we are! I'm not going to do another CB digi as I had a scan yesterday which showed beanie and its little heart beat. We'd already booked a private scan for next thurs as we were going to check things were progressing before telling parents, so probably won't test again. I completely get why you would though. I really didn't quite believe I was pregnant til I actually saw it!

littlek86 · 02/06/2016 18:45

How come you had a scan so early? That's amazing to see so soon on. Must out your mind at rest a lot x yes I am 5+5 too

Tabitha78 · 02/06/2016 18:59

I was having abdominal pains so out of hours Dr referred me to EPU to check for etopic. Fortunately beanie is in the right place and they think the pain was from the ovulation cyst

Tabitha78 · 02/06/2016 19:03

This is what it looks like at the mo - little blob, yolk sac and then the big oval is the pregnancy sac.

Hi everyone!
I'm new to Mumsnet (and already obsessed with the random forum topics - where has this site been all my life?!)
I'm 9+1 due 4th Jan... First pregnancy. Recently mostly obsessed with foods of the beige variety, sick of feeling nauseated and fatigued, and dying to tell people I'm up the duff (urgh... Still 3 weeks to wait). Shock

Yoyogini · 02/06/2016 20:55

astro - haha... I resorted to the elastic band today! Thought I was being original... Turns out to be a tried and tested method though so so much for that. I feel a bit premature buying a bunch of maternity trousers at 9 weeks in case I jinx it

Wintersummerwintersummer · 02/06/2016 20:58

Hello! I'm due dc2 on 24.01. Feeling much more sick than with my DD. Been wearing motion sickness bands for the last couple of days and they have really helped. Then and the buttery toasted banana Soreen I have been wolfing- it's the only thing I can stomach!!!

Is anyone else driving themselves to distraction worrying about MC? My big fear is a missed MC. I found this website which shows MC stats by day and it was really reassuring. Not scaremongering- trying yo do the opposite. I hope we all have sticky beans!

sunnypeony · 02/06/2016 21:08

Think I'm 7 weeks now, nausea is awful and I'm freezing the whole time- anyone else cold? Also having trouble sleeping which isn't like me at all!

Yoyogini · 02/06/2016 21:28

sunny i get cold and hot at night in turns. I have problem sleeping but mostly because it's hard to get comfy with a bloated tum and sore jugs... And then there's the getting up to pee every few hours. Sigh. All practice for the baby I guess.

wintersummer Soreen? Oh dear you've triggered a new craving. I keep having recurring nightmares about mcing... Hoping they'll go away after 12 weeks when rings are a bit more definite!

MagpieCursedTea · 02/06/2016 21:35

Sunny I suffered terribly with hot flashes when I was pregnant with DS but this time around I just can't stay warm. I'm freezing all the time!

Winter welcome! I'm worrying a lot too. I've got my scan in a couple of weeks and I'm terrified about what could go wrong. I've also been on that website a lot! It is quite comforting.

Yoyogini welcome! I know what you mean about not wanting to jinx it by buying anything. I'd quite like some bump bands but will wait a couple of weeks I think.

I've been getting what I think is pelvic pain? It's like the area around my pubic bone aches. It seems a bit early for spd/pgp though? I had some hip pain in my last pregnancy but nothing like this, anyone know what it is? Anything I can do for it?

Yoyogini · 02/06/2016 21:50

Hi magpie Grin
I've been getting dull aches around my hips that come and go. I found a nice bath helps... Although I can't have it as scalding hot as I would like to. Also lying down... Doing a lot of that lately.

MagpieCursedTea · 02/06/2016 21:53

A bath sounds amazing but last time I had one it set off my nausea really badly and I was quite dizzy. So many symptoms to worry about! Taking that as a good sign though (at least that's what I tell myself to get through it).

Yoyogini · 02/06/2016 21:57

Urgh I know. I cycle between 'I feel pants; I want to feel normal again' and 'I feel fine; what's wrong?!'. Rinse and repeat.

MagpieCursedTea · 02/06/2016 21:59

Me too! I get the impression that's a pretty universal first trimester experience!

Summer9 · 03/06/2016 09:23

Rel - How you doing now?

Sunny - Yes to feeling cold! But I don't know if that's down to pregnancy or the fact I'm getting my hubby and sons bug! Got a sore throat now so think I'm getting it.

I'm 7 weeks today and nausea has kicked in the past week (earlier than last time!) Doing my head in as not much I can do to get rid of it.

Insomnia isn't affecting me as I tend to be with LO or the dog as he kindly woke me up at 5am this morning by licking my face and whining as he wanted to go out (he never does this so that was a shock to the system)

How's everyone this morning? X

Astro86 · 03/06/2016 11:57

Today i progressed from just nausea to proper morning sickness Envy

MilkyMamma · 03/06/2016 13:01

I'm the same with the coldness, I've been shivering like I've got a fever and goosebumps all the time.

Today is not a good day, about an hour ago I nearly threw up at my desk. No one knows and I'm finding it harder to hide by the day. I'm only 6 weeks today.

Feeling so anxious at the moment. My first MC was a MMC I found out at 11+3, I can't shake the feeling it's going to happen again. I'm going to look at that website, thanks for the link, Winter I've ordered a CBD to see if I get a 3+ today. I don't know what I'll do if it doesn't say it. I POAS yesterday and it was lighter.

MilkyMamma · 03/06/2016 13:12

Also meant to say, at 6 weeks I'm already getting clicky hips! I had PGP last time and it started getting sore at about 8 weeks.
