I know there's already a thread up for early Jan babies but couldn't see one for the rest of Jan (probably as I'm jumping the gun a bit here!).

This is my first proper pregnancy and I'm a planner by nature so I need some kind of place to talk about this so I don't drive my DP mad!

Bit about me:
I'm 28
This is baby number one
EDD 6th Jan.

Anyone else want to join me?

Signorita I agree! I was actually surprised by how much everything has moved over to FB. The TTC group I was on has an FB but we mostly chat on the MN thread and put the odd thing on the FB group.

Cinderella glad you're feeling better!

Babylime congratulations!

I've been getting all sorts of pains the last few days. I think it's normal for me at this stage but it still makes me feel nervous. The pulling pains are the worst I think, I guess it's just everything stretching though which must be a good sign.
I had my photo taken yesterday and maybe it was the angle/how I was standing but I looked pregnant! I'm only 8 weeks!

Hi ladies. 7 weeks now and have been having lots of uncomfortable cramping since yesterday, feels worse when my bladder is full. No spotting or anything. This is my 6th baby, and quite new to this cramping. Anybody else so uncomfortable?

ginabena8686 · 29/05/2016 19:17

Hi ladies
Very recently found out I am pregnant- doesn't quite feel real yet. Been trying for 2 years and have recently been referred to fertility specialist after having tests but it now seems that may not be necessary. When working out the dates I think we're due on 24th Jan, our first baby. Would love to be welcomed into fb group for further advice, help and support. X

Hi everyone! I'm 29 and due with my first on 18th Jan - my first venture onto mumsnet, so I thought I'd join in! Lovely to e-meet you all Smile I seem to have textbook symptoms according to the Mumsnet Pregnancy Calendar www.mumsnet.com/pregnancy/calendar/7-weeks-pregnant which makes me feel better - scary to look ahead and see what's to come though! Confused

ChickadeeChick · 30/05/2016 07:59

Feeling really in-pregnant this morning, am 7 weeks now. Anyone else losing symptoms? I'm still getting up to wee in the night so that's promising.

MagpieCursedTea · 30/05/2016 09:56

Congratulations heybaby!

I've not started losing symptoms yet but I have had days when they're not as strong as others.

GwendolineLacey · 30/05/2016 10:29

Congrats to all the new preggos :)

I'm not having many symptoms yet, sore/sensitive boobs, drastic knackeredness and a feeling this morning like I'd hit the Hendricks and tonic hard last night. But no puking as of yet. Although only barely 6 weeks gone so that's probably just over the horizon.

Finding myself intensely wanting to talk to friends/my sister about this. DP is fab and can talk to him about anything and any part of this and he's very excited but the urge to grab one of my friends and tell them (way too early as it is) is strong. Hold it together, woman.

littlek86 · 30/05/2016 19:14

Hey everyone,

Thought I would join....I am 5+2!

Just been reading everyone's comments and it is incredibly reassuring...WE ARE ALL THE SAME!

Suffered a miscarriage around this time last year in Sept, but this pregnancy the tests are very strong and have been getting stronger. Waiting until Sat to do a CB digit and hoping to see 3+

Due 28th January if we are lucky enough to keep this one.

Hello to everyone xxx

MagpieCursedTea · 30/05/2016 19:17

Congratulations littlek! Very sorry to hear about your miscarriage, hopefully this one will be a sticky bean. It's very reassuring to hear others going through all the same stuff thought isn't it? Especially in those early weeks where there aren't always many people to talk to about it in real life.

littlek86 · 30/05/2016 19:21

God yes! It is SO comforting just to dip and and know everyone is in the same boat!

What was everyone symptoms like at 5 weeks? Do they ramp up at 6 weeks?

EvansAndThePrince · 30/05/2016 19:39

Hello new ladies! Pm me with your email address to be invited to Facebook Smile

littlek86 · 30/05/2016 19:41

Do you mean there is a group chat on Facebook?

Tabitha78 · 30/05/2016 20:27

Welcome little - we have the same due date Smile. I'm definitely experiencing more symptoms now. Epic tiredness the last couple of days - 9.5 hours sleep and naps in the day. Not quite sure how I'm going to function at work tomorrow!

MagpieCursedTea · 30/05/2016 20:46

My symptoms were full on from before I got my BFP (nausea, exhaustion, sore boobs, mood swings) but it's my second pregnancy. With DS it didn't all kick in until 6-7 weeks.

littlek86 · 30/05/2016 20:53

Hi Tabitha ah that is sweet! When did you find out? x

Yes everyone says its around the 6 week mark, I've been napping too and nausea waves.

Crossing my fingers for us all x

Summer9 · 30/05/2016 21:07

Welcome all who've joined lately Smile
Well I'm just over 6 weeks now and been doing ok. (Think it's mainly because I'm running my round after my 9 month old whose cottoned on to crawling fast!)
Today went to see my parents ... I was debating telling them but decided to wait a few more weeks. However at lunchtime I started to feel sick and was shattered all afternoon. Typical symptoms hit in then (mum didn't pick up on it as she was going OTT with her grandson)
Swear I didn't get symptoms until 8 weeks last time from what I can remember!

Mumchatting · 30/05/2016 21:37

HI, I'm also due in January, around the 19th. I'm 6-7 weeks and the nausea is killing me! It never stops and I feel hungry all the time. It's my second pregnancy. I can't remember being that nauseous 24/7 with my first pregnancy. I have a 2 years old son too so I don't get any rest or enough sleep. this pregnancy feels so different from the first one and I'm very very tired.

MagpieCursedTea · 30/05/2016 21:44

Congratulations mumchatting! I'm also finding things different the second time around, including the nausea being much worse!

CarrotVan · 31/05/2016 09:51

I felt really light headed all day yesterday and nearly fainted a couple of times. I really don't remember symptoms being this full on with DS1 or my unsuccessful pregnancies. I guess the placenta has taken over and there's been a big progesterone surge

hels18 · 31/05/2016 10:19

Me too carrotvan, I get a little bit light headed when I stand up too quickly and rush about at work. It's getting tougher to hide the symptoms now as have constant back ache and am incredibly tired. Still no morning sickness, just the odd feeling of nausea mid afternoon. Also feeling a bit forgetful, but think that is linked to the tiredness.

I am sure my in laws think I have a drinking problem - I have been 'hungover' for the past three weekends when I have seen them!

I have my first scan at the weekend which I am looking forward to (and dreading at the same time!), as I am trying not to get too excited about anything until I know for sure there is something in there! I'll be just over 7 weeks, so hoping it will be clear enough to see. Has anyone else had an early scan yet?

GwendolineLacey · 31/05/2016 10:38

We're booked in for an early scan in a couple of weeks hels, I wanted to go next week (at 6 +4) but the scan people nicely told me that I'd likely not see a heartbeat and go home in a flap. Looking forward to it!

I'm having terrible temper issues the last few days. Keeping it all internal but have been saying 'f*ck off' in my head a LOT when people ask me to do basic things that are absolutely part of my job

CarrotVan · 31/05/2016 10:46

I have one booked in on Monday when I'll be 6+6. Part of my recurrent miscarriage monitoring is fortnightly scans to 12 weeks - I had one at 4+4 to check placement as well

hels18 · 31/05/2016 11:24

Best of luck to you both, will let you know how I get on at the weekend. Hoping 7 weeks isn't too early..

Ha - I have also been stroppy and overly emotional.. poor DH!

CarrotVan · 31/05/2016 11:42

I have seen a heartbeat at 5+6 with a previous pregnancy

MrsMumma · 31/05/2016 12:00

Hello, I'm due January the 24th I think but I'm sure that will change! This will be baby number 2 x
