I know there's already a thread up for early Jan babies but couldn't see one for the rest of Jan (probably as I'm jumping the gun a bit here!).

This is my first proper pregnancy and I'm a planner by nature so I need some kind of place to talk about this so I don't drive my DP mad!

Bit about me:
I'm 28
This is baby number one
EDD 6th Jan.

Anyone else want to join me?

It has gone pretty quiet in here since we got FB up and running!
I've got my in laws visiting this weekend, that's going to be exhausting!
How about you signorita? Any exciting bank holiday plans?

Jodie1982 · 27/05/2016 09:09

I'm having a lazy day today. Got plenty of housework to do but can't find the energy at the moment. Sad

Tabitha78 · 27/05/2016 09:28

Magpie I'm still here! I'd prefer it to join the FB group til I've got past 12 weeks...

Tabitha78 · 27/05/2016 09:28

Okay that doesn't make sense - I'm still half asleep!!!

CinderellaFant · 27/05/2016 09:52

I'm so so tired. Kids are off school so we are still in bed watching tv. Thank the Lord for Netflix!

Tabitha78 · 27/05/2016 10:31

Know how you feel Cinderella, DP dragged me out to swim at an outdoor pool at 7.30 this morning. I just want to crawl back to bed now!!

GwendolineLacey · 27/05/2016 11:44

I dunno what's wrong with me but I am absolutely bouncing in the mornings at the mo, Tigger levels of energy. I am 2 steps above slug in the morning. Thanks, baby! Maybe will crash & burn in the next couple of weeks to make up for it.

GwendolineLacey · 27/05/2016 11:48

Ooops - meant 'I am normally 2 levels above slug..' above. Not a tigger/slug crossover

Hello!
After quietly lurking for a couple of weeks I thought I should finally post something.

Currently 7+6 with DC2 (have a 5yr old son) with an EDD of around Jan 7. I'm hedging my bets a bit with the dates as I have a slightly wonky cycle length and had a mc in Feb which seemed to skew things even further. Midwife booking appointment isn't till 8 June and I'm hoping that will make things feel slightly more positive, at the moment DH and I are not letting myself get excited just in case.

Thankfully the bloating is settling down though the nausea is getting worse (nearly puked in the small boy's porridge this morning!), and the boobs are still sore but I can at least touch them this week!

I've gone off coffee completely and tea tastes odd at times but not enough to stop me drinking it! like last time almost constant eating keeps the nausea at bay, last time salt and vinegar crisps were my go to but just the thought brings a wave of nausea this time, but frozen blueberries and grapes seem to be ok!
Anyway, happy Friday! Here's to the bank holiday (fingers crossed for sun!) and for those of us facing it, good luck with half term...

Hellington · 27/05/2016 14:07

Tabitha outdoor swimming is v impressive! I made it to an indoor pool by 9 with a 2 year old - feel I need to make an effort before energy levels plummet!

I had really bad sickness last time but not much sign so far at 6 weeks. Obviously that's starting to make me feel nervous... Why is early pregnancy such a minefield of worry!!

MagpieCursedTea · 27/05/2016 15:14

Congratulations Astro! Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. We've got the same EDD but I'm also hedging my bets a bit due to wonky cycles (my midwife has it as 24th December but I know it's much later than that). We'll have to see how much they change!

BabyLime2017 · 27/05/2016 15:20

Hi everyone!
I'm 8 weeks today and due the 5th January.
I'd be really interested in joining the Facebook group if anyone can add me to it. Thanks, L xx

ZylaB · 27/05/2016 17:32

My next scan isn't for 2 weeks and 4 days and I already can't wait! Want to know things are still ok!

Tabitha78 · 27/05/2016 18:52

Hellington it was so cold!!! I've been shattered and emotional for the rest of the day and seem to be endlessly weeing. Guess nausea isn't far around the corner!

CarrotVan · 27/05/2016 21:08

Tabitha - I'm the same about FB. I'll happily join when I'm past 12 weeks.

CinderellaFant · 27/05/2016 21:48

Having bad period type cramps tonight- feeling very worried. Sad

Jodie1982 · 27/05/2016 21:57

CinderellaFant it could just be stretching pains? I get them quite often.
Have u had any spotting recently?

Fingers crossed that it's just normal growing aches n pains.

CinderellaFant · 27/05/2016 21:59

No no spotting. Fingers crossed its normal, I've had two mc's before so the slightest pain has me worried!

Summer9 · 28/05/2016 11:10

I get all sorts of cramps etc but it's to do with your body adjusting so please don't panic.
How do you feel today Cinderella?

CarrotVan · 28/05/2016 11:18

Sorry you've had losses Cinderella - there's a lot of us in the position in this group. How are you doing today?

I am SO nauseous. Bleurgh.

My sister and niece stayed last night and I don't think they guessed but I was so glad to get rid of them today so I could bleurgh in peace

Astro86 · 28/05/2016 13:05

Hope everything has calmed down Cinderella, I'm exactly the same with every twinge causing worry after previous loss.

I'm meant to be getting ahead with work while DH is out with the small boy for the day, but I'm just nibbling bread sticks fighting waves of nausea instead.

Tabitha ooo you're brave going the out door pool, our local one opened two weeks ago but, as lovely as it is, it's going to have to get much warmer for me to go (I turn blue and shivery at the indoor pool so mostly look like a smurf at the outdoor one!).

JayDot500 · 28/05/2016 14:48

OMG has it been a year since I stalked the 'due in Jan '16' thread Grin. Then the FB idea came and killed the thread, hiss.

Good luck ladies! I have my little bun (well, he's now more like a loaf of bread) here asleep and I'm so excited for you all. Flowers

Signoritawhocansway · 28/05/2016 18:43

Magpie, we're doing fine thanks. Got my bro over tonight after visiting my DDad at his care home today. The bro and I and DS are off to a conference next week while DH works. Then DH joining us (and bro going home) for our beach holiday. As I have no smartphone and no laptop, I'll be lying low for a while!

Welcome Astro and Babylime!

How are you feeling today Cinderalla?

It's a shame that the fb threads seem to kill off ante-natal threads. Last time, I was on the October 2013 thread, but it pretty much died off. Then when DS came in August instead, I didn't have much support as I wasn't on the fb group. So hence my efforts to keep posting in here.

Wishing you all a happy fortnight... I've got my booking in the Weds after we get back - catch up with you all then :)

CinderellaFant · 28/05/2016 20:32

I'm feeling much better today, thank you everyone! Cramping has gone, boobs are still sore and I'm still exhausted so taking that as all is ok!

Hope everyone's enjoying the bank holiday weekend!

Tabitha78 · 28/05/2016 21:10

Glad you're feeling better Cinderella. We're enjoying the bank holiday sun, although my attempt at gardening after running this morning was pretty limited, I'm completely shattered. I think the weeds are going to win this year!
